October Cosmic Calendar

October 1st: Mercury square Jupiter ~ 4:59pm EST
Happy October! On Wednesday, October 1st, Mercury forms a square to Jupiter at 4:59pm EST, a transit we’ll feel throughout the day. Mercury is at 22 degrees Libra, while Jupiter sits at 22 degrees Cancer. This cardinal square activates the mind, sparking curiosity and a strong appetite for knowledge. We may feel compelled to gather information and chatter about whatever captures our interest.

The energy can bring a tendency to ramble or speak impulsively, which might feel fun and exciting for some but mentally restless for others. It may be harder to turn off the brain in order to rest, focus, or relax. Overall, this is a scattered yet stimulating influence, better suited for multitasking, exploration, and exchanging broad ideas with others than for detail-oriented concentration.

October 3rd: Mercury opposite Chiron ~ 2:04pm EST
On Friday, October 3rd, Mercury in Libra moves into opposition with Chiron in Aries at 2:04pm EST, an influence we’ll feel throughout the day. This aspect can stir overthinking, mental overwhelm, or a heightened sensitivity around communication. We may find ourselves second-guessing our words, monitoring our thoughts, or worrying about how we come across to others, which can feel draining.

The invitation here is to practice gentleness with yourself and with others. This is a powerful day for vulnerability and honest expression. Share your ideas and opinions without pressuring yourself to be flawless, and release the need to control how others respond. This alignment supports the release of negative thought patterns and invites Chiron’s healing influence, opening the way for clearer, more vibrant communication.

October 4th: Venus conjunct South Node ~ 5:20am EST
On Saturday, October 4th, Venus conjuncts the South Node at 5:20am EST, setting the tone for the entire day. Meeting at 18 degrees Virgo, this alignment carries a wave of nostalgia that can bring past relationships, memories, and connections back into focus. Some may hear from or interact with people from long ago, while others might experience powerful dreams or find that someone from the past lingers strongly in their thoughts.

This transit may also revive old creative ideas or call you back to unfinished artistic projects. Past-life themes can resurface as well, appearing through hazy memories or sudden feelings of familiarity with others. The day is steeped in sentimental energy, making it especially potent for revisiting the past, whether through your own history or by immersing yourself in vintage music, movies, art, and other echoes of earlier times.

October 6th: Mercury enters Scorpio ~ 12:40pm EST // Full Moon in Aries 11:47pm EST
Monday, October 6th brings two powerful transits. The first occurs at 12:40pm EST as Mercury ingresses into Scorpio, where it will remain until October 29th. Mercury in Scorpio emphasizes trust, depth, and intimate one-on-one connections. Over the coming weeks, honesty is key. Secrets or half-truths are more likely to surface under this influence. This transit supports profound idea-sharing and deep conversations that can feel almost telepathic in their intensity. Small talk, however, may feel especially draining or frustrating.

Those with natal Mercury in Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, or Pisces will find this energy flowing most naturally, while Aries, Gemini, Libra, and Sagittarius may experience it more neutrally. For Taurus, Leo, and Aquarius placements, it could feel more challenging, requiring patience and compromise to adapt to Mercury’s probing, mysterious tone here in Scorpio.

Later in the day, the Full Moon in Aries perfects at 11:47pm EST, with the Moon at 14 degrees Aries opposing the Sun at 14 degrees Libra. This lunation carries bold, pioneering energy that favors decisive action and independent thought. It is not the time for second-guessing or trying to blend in. Instead, lean into what feels authentic and aligned with your spirit. Aries encourages risk-taking, boundary-setting, and courageous steps toward newness. You may stir the waters or ruffle feathers, but that’s part of the path. Trust your instincts, embrace the adventure, and allow the Full Moon to illuminate your next brave move.

October 7th: Mercury square Pluto ~ 10:40am EST
On Tuesday, October 7th, Mercury squares Pluto at 10:40am EST, an influence that lingers throughout the day. This transit sharpens perception and fuels the desire to dig beneath the surface in search of truth. While this intensity can be valuable for problem-solving and focused investigation, it may also stir suspicion, obsessive thinking, or even paranoia.

The mind can easily become caught in loops, fixated on uncovering hidden motives or analyzing situations to the point of exhaustion. To ease this energy, it’s wise to direct curiosity toward something less personal and more constructive. Puzzles, strategy games, research projects, or mystery novels can provide a satisfying outlet, allowing the mind to work deeply without straining relationships or overanalyzing the behavior of others.

October 8th: Venus sextile Jupiter ~ 7:40am EST
The astrology on Wednesday, October 8th, is especially favorable. At 7:40am EST, Venus forms a sextile with Jupiter, a transit that infuses the entire day with lightness and ease. This alignment brings a buoyant, optimistic energy that supports relationships, creativity, and self-confidence.

Artistic inspiration flows more freely, making it an excellent time for creative projects, redecorating, or refreshing your style with clothing or beauty treatments. Social interactions are also highlighted. Whether spending time with friends, going on a date, or simply enjoying the company of others, the atmosphere is warm and harmonious. Conflicts are less likely to arise, leaving more room for joy, connection, and appreciation of life’s simple pleasures.

October 11th: Venus opposite Saturn ~ 7:10am EST
On Saturday, October 11th, Venus in Virgo opposes Saturn in Pisces at 7:10am EST, an influence that colors the entire day. This aspect may bring feelings of frustration or limitation, particularly in relationships, finances, or creative expression. Time constraints, responsibilities, or practical concerns could make it harder to express yourself freely, and relationships may feel more restrictive than supportive. This can stir feelings of loneliness or disconnection, as if others aren’t meeting us where we’d like them to.

To work with this energy, lean into discipline and realism. While shortcuts are unlikely to yield results, patience and a steady, pragmatic approach can bring lasting growth. This transit asks us to face obstacles directly, and in doing so, we may uncover valuable lessons that strengthen both our creative work and our connections with others.

*

October 13th: Venus enters Libra ~ 5:18pm EST // Venus opposite Neptune ~ 9:15pm EST // Pluto retrograde ends ~ 10:52pm EST
Monday, October 13th brings a full day in the cosmos. Venus enters Libra at 5:18pm EST, where it will remain until November 6th. Because Venus naturally rules Libra, this transit flows with harmony and ease. It highlights relationships of all kinds, be they romantic, platonic, or familial, while encouraging us to seek connection, cooperation, and common ground. Creativity and artistry also thrive under this influence.

Those with natal Venus in Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, or Aquarius may feel especially inspired and supported in both relationships and creative pursuits. For Venus placements in Taurus, Virgo, Scorpio, or Pisces, the energy will feel pleasantly steady and simple. If your Venus is in Aries, Cancer, or Capricorn, you may notice a desire for greater independence, or even occasional friction with others.

Later in the evening, Venus opposes Neptune at 9:15pm EST. This dreamy aspect dissolves boundaries, making it easier to feel in tune with others and to channel imaginative, artistic insights. While the energy can feel blissful and otherworldly, it may also blur clarity. Stay mindful of confusion, idealization, or illusions.

Finally, Pluto stations direct at 10:52pm EST after being retrograde since early May. Pluto spends about five months in retrograde each year, drawing our attention inward toward shadow work and transformation. With Pluto now moving forward, we begin integrating those inner lessons and can channel them into meaningful, lasting external change.

October 14th: Venus trine Uranus ~ 10:09am EST // Venus trine Pluto ~ 7:45pm EST
On Tuesday, October 14th, Venus makes two powerful connections. Freshly in Libra, Venus first forms a trine with Uranus at 10:09am EST. This aspect highlights surprises, spontaneity, and adventure in relationships. It’s a great day to break free from routines, try something new with friends or loved ones, and embrace the unexpected. Creatively, this energy can spark bold, unconventional ideas that push your artistry in exciting directions.

Later in the evening, Venus trines Pluto at 7:45pm EST. Together, these transits color the energy of the entire day. Venus/Pluto connections bring depth, transformation, and courage into our relationships, helping us face challenges with greater honesty and strength. The theme for today is collaboration, and finding new ways to grow, evolve, and create alongside those we’re aligned with.

October 17th: Sun square Jupiter ~ 1:42am EST // Sun opposite Chiron ~ 7:40pm EST
On Friday, October 17th, two solar transits shape the tone of the day. The Sun squares Jupiter at 1:42am EST, amplifying energy and encouraging boldness. This aspect can bring a sense of adventure, excitement, and expansion, but it may also lean into overconfidence or exaggeration. Voices and opinions may feel louder than usual, and the overall atmosphere can be a lot to take in.

Later, at 7:40pm EST, the Sun opposes Chiron. This influence contrasts the earlier exuberance, stirring up insecurities or sensitivity around how we’re seen and valued. Some may respond by leaning harder into ego and performance, while others may feel the urge to retreat. The day as a whole carries a push-pull quality between showing up boldly and questioning whether we belong. Practice compassion for yourself and others, and create space where everyone feels safe to express their authentic selves.

October 18th: Mars trine North Node ~ 9:40am EST // October 19th: Mercury trine North Node ~ 4:32am EST
On Saturday, October 18th, Mars forms a trine with the North Node at 9:40am EST. With Mercury traveling close to Mars in the sky, the two planets will soon align, perfecting their conjunction on Monday. Because of this, Mercury will also make the same trine to the North Node tomorrow, October 19th, at 4:32am EST. Let’s look at what each of these transits offers, and how their energies may weave together.

The Mars/North Node trine ignites motivation and drive. Actions feel purposeful, as though guided by something larger or fated. This is an excellent influence for setting goals around physical health, vitality, and building a more energized lifestyle.

When Mercury forms its trine to the North Node tomorrow, the focus shifts toward communication and clarity. Words flow more easily, helping us articulate thoughts, connect meaningfully with others, and channel inspiration into writing or conversation.

Together, these transits encourage aligned action and expression, aiding us in moving forward with both courage and clarity.

*

October 20th: Mercury conjunct Mars ~ 2:51am EST
On Monday, October 20th, Mercury and Mars join in a conjunction at 2:51am EST, both positioned at 19 degrees Scorpio. This is a powerful alignment, strengthened by the trines each planet is forming to the North Node (see my last post for more about that).

This transit links body and mind, sparking motivation, movement, and purposeful action. Mental clarity and decisiveness are heightened, making it easier to cut through distractions and move forward with courage. With both planets in Scorpio, there’s also a penetrating quality, allowing us to see beneath the surface, analyze deeply, and act with precision.

As we enter the dark moon phase and prepare for tomorrow’s New Moon, this conjunction encourages boldness, assertiveness, and fearless steps toward what lies ahead.

October 21st: New Moon in Libra ~ 8:25am EST
On Tuesday, October 21st, the New Moon in Libra perfects at 8:25am EST, with the Sun and Moon uniting at 28 degrees Libra. This lunation carries a creative, artistic energy, inviting us to draw inspiration from within and express it outward.

The Libra New Moon can shine a light on relationships and partnerships that no longer serve us, encouraging a reset and fresh intentions in those areas. It also calls us to cultivate inner peace, creating a safe, gentle, and balanced space for ourselves.

Unlike most New Moons, which tend to feel introspective and solitary, this one leans toward the social. It’s a wonderful day to spend quiet, creative time in the company of others, with each person immersed in their own project, yet sharing the same space. Simple, harmonious togetherness can feel both inspiring and nourishing under these skies.

October 22nd: Neptune re-enters Pisces ~ 5:46am EST // Sun enters Scorpio ~ 11:50pm EST
Happy Scorpio Season! Wednesday, October 22nd brings two major cosmic shifts.

The first arrives early, at 5:46am EST, when Neptune retrogrades back into Pisces. Neptune previously spent over a decade in Pisces, from 2011 until its move into Aries this past March. Now, it revisits Pisces for a final chapter until January, after which it won’t return for more than 150 years. This period offers us a chance to close out cycles and integrate the lessons of Neptune in Pisces. Themes here center around spirituality, collective consciousness, escapism, and altered states of perception. During this era, many sought refuge in technology or turned away from physical reality. Now, we can consciously direct this energy toward meaningful connection, creativity, and channeling spiritual or abstract insights in grounded ways.

Later on, at 11:50pm EST, the Sun enters Scorpio, ushering us fully into Scorpio Season. Scorpio, the fixed water sign, symbolizes depth, shadow, transformation, and truth-seeking. It is like diving into a deep, glittering pool that keeps going further and further into secret caves and grottos. It invites us to move beyond surface appearances and engage with what is hidden, intimate, and profoundly real. From now until November 21st, the focus shifts toward quality over quantity in relationships, emotional honesty, and embracing the mysteries of life. This is an ideal time to engage in ritual, meditation, and practices that connect us with deeper layers of meaning.

Signs that tend to harmonize most easily with Scorpio’s energy include Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, and Pisces, making this season especially resonant for them.

October 23rd: Jupiter square Chiron ~ 6:19pm EST
On Thursday, October 23rd, Jupiter squares Chiron at 6:19pm EST, a major transit that has been building over the past week and will continue to resonate through the rest of the month.

This alignment opens a powerful window for healing and growth. Old wounds, particularly those connected to belief systems, religion, or spirituality, may come into focus. With Jupiter’s expansive influence, we’re encouraged to move beyond limiting patterns and step into greater understanding. This transit can also inspire us to support others on their healing journeys, reminding them of the power they carry within.

Jupiter square Chiron helps shift us away from blind faith or rigid dogma and toward more personal, authentic ways of connecting with meaning. It broadens perspective, urging curiosity and open-mindedness. Some may feel called to travel, explore new ideas, or break free from old routines. Others may be drawn to study languages, history, or spiritual traditions that expand awareness.

At its best, this transit is about embracing healing, wisdom, and a worldview that honors both personal truth and the richness of diverse perspectives.

October 24th: Sun square Pluto ~ 9:24am EST // Mercury trine Jupiter ~ 11:07am EST
On Friday, October 24th, two significant transits color the first half of the day.

At 9:24am EST, the Sun squares Pluto, stirring determination and intensity. This aspect can push us to confront challenges, authority, or power dynamics, urging us to stand strong and act with courage. While this energy thrives on the underdog spirit, be mindful not to create conflict for its own sake. Used wisely, it can fuel resilience, bravery, and the will to overcome obstacles that truly matter.

Just a couple of hours later, at 11:07am EST, Mercury forms a trine with Jupiter. This lighter, more expansive aspect encourages curiosity, optimism, and the free flow of ideas. Conversations may feel more engaging and uplifting, and writing or communication of any kind may come more easily. This is a wonderful transit for learning, teaching, connecting socially, or sharing insights with others.

Together, these transits invite us to balance intensity with openness, tapping into courage while also staying curious and connected.

October 25th: Mercury trine Saturn ~ 5:16pm EST
On Saturday, October 25th, Mercury forms a trine with Saturn at 5:16pm EST. This transit supports focus, concentration, and disciplined thinking. It is an excellent influence for tackling projects that require sustained attention. It’s a great day to commit to study, research, or problem-solving, as the mind is more inclined toward clarity and structure. This aspect favors realistic brainstorming, helping us move past distractions or overly idealistic ideas in order to land on practical, lasting solutions.

Mercury trine Saturn also supports serious conversations and collaborative work, though Saturn’s influence may make solitary efforts especially productive. Whether you are working alone or with others today, this is a transit that rewards patience, diligence, and steady mental effort.

*

October 28th: Mars trine Jupiter ~ 2:19am EST
On Tuesday, October 28th, Mars forms a trine with Jupiter at 2:19am EST. This energy has been building over the weekend and will resonate through the end of the week.

This adventurous and uplifting transit encourages exploration, spontaneity, and new discoveries. It’s an ideal time to break free from stagnation and follow sparks of inspiration. You may feel more impulsive, with your body leading the way even before your mind catches up.

Mars trine Jupiter is especially favorable for athletes or anyone looking to engage more fully with their physicality. Confidence, boldness, and dynamic energy are highlighted, making it a great period to set personal goals and pursue them with enthusiasm and courage.

October 29th: Mercury trine Neptune ~ 3:26am EST // Mercury enters Sagittarius ~ 7:02am EST // Mars trine Saturn ~ 3:05pm EST // Mercury opposite Uranus ~ 3:35pm EST
Wednesday, October 29th is packed with cosmic activity, featuring four major transits.

At 3:26am EST, Mercury trines Neptune, opening channels for imagination, inspiration, and spiritual connection. This dreamy, expansive energy is excellent for artists, writers, or anyone seeking to connect with ideas beyond the ordinary.

At 7:02am EST, Mercury enters Sagittarius, where it will eventually turn retrograde in November, briefly return to Scorpio, and then move back into Sagittarius after the retrograde. Mercury in Sagittarius encourages playful, dynamic thinking, exploration, and philosophical curiosity. Communication can be more direct, adventurous, and occasionally impulsive. Those with natal Mercury in Aries, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, or Aquarius are likely to resonate most with this energy. Mercury in Taurus, Cancer, Scorpio, or Capricorn will feel it more neutrally, while natal Mercury in Gemini, Virgo, or Pisces may experience some mental tension or overwhelm. Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces) will feel the retrograde most strongly.

Later, at 3:05pm EST, Mars trines Saturn, providing steady energy for goal-setting, productivity, and completing tasks. This is a great time for finishing projects at home, pushing forward at work, or taking actionable steps toward personal goals.

Shortly after, at 3:35pm EST, Mercury in Sagittarius opposes Uranus in Gemini. This transit can stir restlessness, mental chatter, and a scattered feeling. Physical activity or channeling energy into purposeful action can help calm the mind and make the most of this dynamic, unpredictable energy.

October 30th: Mercury sextile Pluto ~ 6:06pm EST
On Thursday, October 30th, Mercury forms a sextile with Pluto at 6:06pm EST. This transit sharpens the mind and helps us uncover hidden truths. It’s an excellent day for problem-solving, research, and brainstorming, especially when tackling longstanding mysteries or complex situations. You may feel like a natural detective, noticing details that others might miss and approaching challenges with curiosity and insight.

Happy Samhain and blessed Halloween! This is a powerful time for connecting with those who have passed, honoring ancestors, and glimpsing beyond the veil. Opening yourself to the mysteries of life can reveal unexpected treasures and insights. Wishing you a magical, safe, and inspiring holiday.

September Cosmic Calendar

September 1st: Saturn re-enters Pisces ~ 4:06am EST
On Monday, September 1st, we begin the month with Saturn retrograding back into Pisces at 4:06am EST. Saturn first entered Aries in May of this year, but now returns to Pisces to finish out this chapter, where it will remain until February. In Pisces, Saturn asks us to bring grounding and structure to our dreams, visions, and fantasies. Think back to the period from March 2023 through May 2025. You may have found your aspirations to be expansive, even overwhelming at times, and perhaps struggled with how to make them tangible. Progress often required careful preparation, discipline, and steady effort. Emotional healing was also a key theme, and for those unwilling to face what needed mending, things may have unraveled or revealed deeper challenges.

During this final five-month stretch of Saturn in Pisces, we are invited to revisit these lessons with greater clarity. It is time to balance the boundless, imaginative energy of Pisces with Saturn’s call for practicality and sustainability. Notice where cycles are wrapping up, where illusions are dissolving, and where you’re ready to bring vision into form. Trust Saturn to help you refine, ground, and make real what once seemed just out of reach.

September 2nd: Mercury enters Virgo ~ 9:23am EST
On Tuesday, September 2nd, Mercury enters Virgo at 9:23am EST. Mercury is at home in this sign, one of the two it rules, and will remain here until September 18th. Because Mercury governs the mind, logic, communication, and perception, its placement in Virgo supports sharp focus, analytical thinking, and careful attention to detail. This is an excellent two week period for problem-solving, organizing, streamlining routines, and bringing order to the areas of life that feel cluttered or inefficient. Clear, concise communication also comes more naturally under this influence, making it easier to work on projects that require precision and thoroughness.

The potential challenges of this transit include overthinking, being overly critical of ourselves or others, and struggling to switch gears or multitask. Those with natal Mercury in Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, or Capricorn often feel most at ease with this energy and may find it highly supportive. For Mercury in Aries, Leo, Libra, or Aquarius, the influence is more neutral, neither particularly helpful nor disruptive. If your natal Mercury is in Gemini, Sagittarius, or Pisces, however, the meticulous and exacting nature of Mercury in Virgo can feel restrictive or nitpicky, requiring a conscious effort to balance detail-oriented focus with broader, more flexible thinking.

September 3rd: Mercury square Uranus ~ 3:40am EST // Jupiter trine North Node ~ 2:36pm EST
On Wednesday, September 3rd, two major transits take place. The first arrives early in the morning, at 3:40am EST, when Mercury squares Uranus. This energy can stir up restlessness, mental overdrive, and an almost nonstop flow of thoughts or chatter. Conversations may run long, or you might find yourself rambling without a clear point. Others may surprise you with their words or behavior, catching you off guard. This is a day when the mind can easily get stuck in loops of “what ifs,” so it’s important to stay grounded in the present and give yourself mental breaks where possible.

Later in the day, at 2:36pm EST, Jupiter forms a trine to the North Node of the Moon. This transit has been building over the past week and will continue to be felt into next week. Jupiter’s expansive influence here supports growth, bold steps forward, and opportunities that feel aligned with our greater path. This is a chance to stretch beyond your comfort zone and step toward experiences that feel exciting, adventurous, and full of potential. Progress comes through courage, by saying yes to what feels both meaningful and inspiring.

September 4th: Mars square Jupiter ~ 10:58pm EST
On Thursday, September 4th, Mars forms a square with Jupiter at 10:58pm EST, a transit that has been building over the past several days and will linger into early next week. Mars sits at 18 degrees Libra while Jupiter is at 18 degrees Cancer, creating a cardinal square that can feel sticky, impulsive, and restless. This is a daredevil aspect, often fueling bold but reckless choices, leaping before looking, or saying yes to more than you can realistically handle.

The energy may push us toward impatience, overextension, and a restless drive for action. While taking initiative can feel like a release valve, it’s important to pause and consider the consequences before charging ahead. This transit encourages adventure and exploration, but discernment matters. There’s a difference between crossing the street toward new horizons and darting into traffic without looking.

September 6th: Uranus Rx begins ~ 12:51am EST
On Saturday, September 6th, Uranus stations retrograde at 12:51am EST, beginning a cycle that lasts until February 3rd. Uranus moves retrograde every year for about five months, so its rhythm is familiar. but each cycle highlights a different area of growth and change. While Uranus in direct motion often brings sudden shifts and external disruptions, its retrograde phase turns the focus inward, offering space for reflection and gradual, more deliberate transformation.

With Uranus currently in Gemini, this retrograde emphasizes shifts in perspective, self-concept, and communication. You may find yourself rethinking old narratives, reconsidering how you connect with others, or reframing the way you approach learning and information. Rather than rushing into change, this period supports moving slowly, integrating insights, and preparing for breakthroughs at a steadier pace.

At the start of this retrograde, Uranus is stationed at 1 degree Gemini, but it will dip back into Taurus before the cycle ends. This gives the retrograde two distinct phases: from now until November, the focus is on Gemini themes of thought and communication; later, as Uranus returns to Taurus, the energy will shift toward stability, resources, and the material foundations of life.

September 7th: Full Moon in Pisces / Lunar Eclipse ~ 2:08pm EST
On Sunday, September 7th, the Full Moon in Pisces occurs at 2:08pm EST, with the Moon at 15 degrees Pisces and the Sun at 15 degrees Virgo. Falling exactly halfway through their respective signs, this lunation also arrives as a total Lunar Eclipse. This will be most potent in Asia and western Australia, where the visibility will be the greatest. This is the opening of eclipse season, which continues until September 22nd. Eclipse season is always a powerful period, when the veil is said to thin and transformation accelerates. Changes often come with urgency or pressure, especially around the eclipses themselves on September 7th and 21st.

This particular Full Moon is deeply emotional, sensitive, and dreamlike. Imagination runs strong, but illusions may be pierced by reality, bringing clarity where we’ve been avoiding truth. Emotions are heightened, and the energy can swing from waves of longing and daydreaming to intense bursts of creativity and insight. With the Moon in the second decan of Pisces (ruled by the Moon itself), intuition and spirituality are emphasized. This is a time to trust signs, synchronicities, and gut feelings, while also remembering to stay grounded.

The Virgo Sun reminds us not to get lost in fantasy or overwhelm, but to keep one foot firmly on the earth. Simplicity, discernment, and clarity are allies here, helping us anchor the wisdom of this eclipse into tangible growth.

~*~

September 10th: Sun conjunct South Node ~ 3:19pm EST
After a few quieter astrological days, the Sun meets the South Node on Wednesday, September 10th, perfecting at 3:19pm EST. The South Node is a point along the Moon’s orbital axis that represents history, memory, and karmic ties. This transit, felt throughout the day, draws us toward nostalgia and the familiar, whether childhood memories, old favorites, or even echoes of past lives.

You may find yourself craving comfort, revisiting beloved music, films, or places that once brought joy. The energy can feel like a warm blanket, reminding us of where we’ve come from and the experiences that have shaped us. While it can be meaningful to reconnect with the past, it’s important not to get stuck there. This alignment is best used as inspiration. Gather insight from what once was, and carry it forward into the present and future with clarity and purpose.

September 11th: Mercury conjunct South Node ~ 9:58pm EST
On Thursday, September 11th, Mercury aligns with the South Node of the Moon, following the Sun’s connection to this same point just yesterday. This transit invites us to look back, whether through reminiscing with friends and family, revisiting old memories, or rediscovering ideas that once sparked our curiosity. It’s also supportive for recalling forgotten details, finding misplaced objects, or mentally returning to significant moments from the past. This can even be helpful for recalling past lives. The aspect perfects at 9:58pm EST, with its energy especially strong in the hour before and after. Use this time to reconnect with what has shaped you and notice what the past may still have to offer.

September 12th: Sun sextile Jupiter ~ 3:30am EST // Mercury sextile Jupiter ~ 5:53pm EST
On Friday, September 12th, we’re graced with two cheerful transits. The first arrives early, at 3:30am EST, when the Sun in Virgo forms a supportive sextile to Jupiter in Cancer. This uplifting influence lasts throughout the day, bringing optimism, generosity, and a spirit of adventure. It encourages openness to new experiences and helps us approach challenges with humor and grace, making it easier to see fresh possibilities. Later, at 5:53pm EST, Mercury also sextiles Jupiter, adding another layer of warmth and inspiration. This energy sparks lively conversations, exciting ideas, and plenty of humor. It’s a wonderful influence for sharing thoughts, exploring philosophy, and engaging in meaningful discussions. Writers and creatives, in particular, may find words flowing with ease and enthusiasm.

September 13th: Sun conjunct Mercury ~ 6:51am EST
On Saturday, September 13th, the Sun meets Mercury at 6:51am EST in what’s known as Mercury Cazimi, a potent alignment often called the “genius aspect.” During the exact window from 5:51am to 7:51am EST, the mind is especially sharp and receptive, with ideas flowing quickly and brilliantly. This energy continues throughout the day, offering perspective shifts, flashes of inspiration, and sudden insights. Some of these ideas may be fleeting, so it’s wise to jot them down or share them aloud before they slip away. With this Cazimi happening in Virgo, spending time in nature can open you further to divine inspiration and help channel clarity into practical form.

~*~

September 15th: Venus sextile Mars ~ 11:03pm EST
On Monday, September 15th, Venus forms a harmonious sextile with Mars at 11:03pm EST. Venus shines at 25 degrees Leo while Mars energizes at 25 degrees Libra, blending fire and air in a lively and creative exchange. This pleasant aspect stirs passion and inspiration, motivating us to direct our energy toward pursuits that light us up. It’s especially supportive of creative expression like music, dance, art, photography, and any form of play that lets us channel joy into action. In relationships, this transit encourages teamwork, passion, and mutual engagement, making it easier to collaborate and connect in meaningful ways. It can also spark healthy competition, offering a boost for athletes, performers, or anyone working together toward a shared goal.

September 16th: Venus trine Chiron ~ 6:10am EST  // Mars opposite Chiron ~ 11:46am EST
On Tuesday, September 16th, we experience two significant Chiron transits. The first arrives at 6:10am EST, when Venus forms a supportive trine to Chiron. This brings opportunities for healing through relationships, whether by working through old wounds with loved ones or creating an atmosphere where others feel safe and supported. Because this is a trine, the energy flows more easily, suggesting that healing may come in gentle, affirming ways rather than through struggle or conflict.

Later, at 11:46am EST, Mars opposes Chiron. This is a more challenging influence that has been building for several days and will linger through the week. This aspect can stir up frustrations around decision-making, self-assertion, or the tendency to suppress anger, which may then surface as resentment or passive-aggressiveness. It may also manifest physically as tension or discomfort in the body. The invitation here is to lean on the Venus–Chiron trine. Approach vulnerability with openness, communicate honestly, and resist the urge to bottle things up. Releasing what’s inside with compassion can transform frustration into clarity and healing.

September 17th: Mercury opposite Saturn ~ 1:47pm EST
On Wednesday, September 17th, Mercury opposes Saturn at 1:47pm EST. Mercury sits at 28 degrees Virgo while Saturn, having recently retrograded back into Pisces, also reaches 28 degrees. This transit is strongly felt throughout the day, sharpening the mind and encouraging focused, detail-oriented work. It can, however, tip into over-critical thinking both toward yourself and others, so be mindful and redirect your thoughts when needed. This is an excellent time to tackle projects or work toward a goal, but if you find yourself trying to “fix” things that don’t need fixing, channel that energy into something productive, like helping with tasks that truly need attention or engaging in puzzles or games that challenge your analytical skills.

September 18th: Mercury enters Libra ~ 6:05am EST // Mercury opposite Neptune ~ 6:00pm EST
On Thursday, September 18th, Mercury moves into Libra at 6:05am EST, where it will remain until October 6th. Mercury in Libra favors fairness, balance, and harmony, making it an excellent time for pleasant conversations, thoughtful discussions, and engaging with art, music, and film. On the flip side, this placement can heighten indecision and make quick, bold choices more challenging. Communication flows best when we seek common ground and aim to unite rather than confront.

Those with natal Mercury in Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, or Aquarius will feel especially supported by this energy, finding it enhances self-expression and connection. If your natal Mercury is in Taurus, Virgo, Scorpio, or Pisces, this transit will be more neutral. For those with natal Mercury in Aries, Cancer, or Capricorn, it may require extra effort to compromise and step outside your comfort zone.

Later, at 6:00pm EST, Mercury opposes Neptune, introducing a more dreamy and imaginative influence. This transit can inspire far-reaching ideas, abstract thinking, and creative insights, but it can also blur boundaries and lead to confusion if we’re not careful. Stay grounded while exploring the wilder edges of your imagination, and be mindful of others who may try to drain your energy or offload their problems onto you.

September 19th: Mercury trine Uranus ~ 12:52am EST // Mercury trine Pluto ~ 2:26am EST // Venus enters Virgo ~ 8:39am EST
On Friday, September 19th, the skies bring us several noteworthy shifts. The first arrives just after midnight, at 12:52am EST, as Mercury in Libra trines Uranus. This airy connection sparks fresh perspectives, innovative thinking, and surprising breakthroughs. Expect flashes of inspiration that help break through stagnation, along with conversations that feel playful, quirky, or delightfully outside the norm.

Shortly after, at 2:26am EST, Mercury also trines Pluto, sharpening focus and adding depth to the day. Where Uranus brings novelty, Pluto cuts through to the essence. This aspect encourages boldness, clarity, and emotional honesty, perfect for meaningful conversations or diving into subjects that matter most.

Later in the morning, Venus enters Virgo at 8:39am EST, where it will remain until October 13th. Venus in Virgo highlights attention to detail, making this an excellent time for refined creative work, artistry that relies on precision, and showing care for others through acts of service. It invites us to consider how we can make the lives of loved ones easier in small but significant ways.

Those with natal Venus in Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, or Capricorn will feel especially supported, finding this transit grounding and creatively enriching. For Venus in Aries, Leo, Libra, or Aquarius, the influence is more neutral, while Venus in Gemini, Sagittarius, or Pisces may find Virgo’s exacting nature a bit restrictive. Regardless of placement, this is a time to learn the value of focus, discernment, and bringing vision into form through practical effort.

September 20th: Venus square Uranus ~ 11:41am EST
On Saturday, September 20th, Venus forms a square to Uranus at 11:41am EST, an aspect we’ll feel throughout the day. With Venus newly in Virgo and Uranus adding its unpredictable influence, this mutable square can stir up shake-ups in relationships and creativity. Interactions may feel a bit unsteady or surprising. Someone close to us may act in unexpected ways, or dynamics could suddenly shift.

The key is to loosen control and flow with the energy rather than resisting it. While this transit can feel chaotic, it also opens the door to pleasant surprises if we release rigid expectations. In creative work or group projects, differing visions may clash or a partner may take an unforeseen direction, but these twists can also spark innovation. Stay flexible, and you may discover that the disruption leads to something fresh and exciting.

September 21st: Sun opposite Saturn ~ 1:45am EST  // New Moon in Virgo (Black Moon Solar Eclipse) ~ 3:54pm EST
On Sunday, September 21st, we reach the final day of Virgo season, and it arrives with transformative energy. The day begins with the Sun opposing Saturn at 1:45am EST, a sobering influence that may highlight responsibilities, limitations, or the weight of self-criticism. We may long for more freedom or realize that perfectionism has been holding us back. It is time to notice what can be adjusted or released so that greater ease and movement are possible going forward.

Later, the New Moon in Virgo arrives. This is our second Virgo New Moon of the season, and this one is also a Black Moon Solar Eclipse. Visible in Australia, New Zealand, and the Polynesian Islands, this eclipse brings a powerful closing to eclipse season. It is an intensely transformative portal, inviting deep internal shifts. The eclipse opposes both Saturn and Neptune while forming a grand trine with Uranus and Pluto, a rare configuration that amplifies its global significance. These outer planet connections suggest collective change, breakthroughs, and the potential to harness energy for transformation on a larger scale.

While New Moons are inherently inward-focused, this one feels like lighting a lantern within yourself and then contributing that light to the collective flame. The more you tend to your own passion and center yourself, the more your energy can uplift others. Take time for yourself without guilt—this inner renewal is the first step to offering meaningful support to the wider world without depleting your own reserves.

September 22nd: Mars enters Scorpio ~ 3:54am EST // Sun enters Libra ~ 2:19pm EST
Happy Libra Season! On Monday, September 22nd, the day begins with Mars entering Scorpio at 3:54am EST, where it will remain until November 4th. Mars in Scorpio is intense, exacting, and deeply focused. This placement strengthens our determination, helping us pursue goals with passion and persistence, while also empowering transformation of both mind and body. It fuels intimacy and desire, making it a potent time for deep connections, though it can also bring difficulty with forgiveness and a tendency to hold onto grudges. Transparency is key. Deception is much harder to conceal under this transit.

For those with natal Mars in Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, or Pisces, this energy will feel especially resonant, bringing vitality and drive. Mars in Aries, Gemini, Libra, or Sagittarius may experience smooth sailing but without a noticeable boost. Meanwhile, Taurus, Leo, and Aquarius placements could feel more fatigued, requiring extra rest and slower, more deliberate action.

Later, at 2:19pm EST, the Sun moves into Libra, officially beginning Libra Season and marking the Autumnal Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere (and the Vernal Equinox in the Southern). The equinox is a sacred moment of balance, when day and night are equal in length. Libra Season, a cardinal air energy, is ideal for engaging with Venusian themes like art, music, design, creativity, and social connection. This season encourages harmony, fairness, and the pursuit of balance, whether in relationships, creative work, or daily life. Enjoy gatherings, lively conversations, and finding common ground rather than stirring conflict.

September 23rd: Sun opposite Neptune ~ 8:53am EST  // Sun trine Uranus ~ 10:55pm EST
On Tuesday, September 23rd, the Sun in Libra opposes Neptune in Aries at 8:53am EST. This transit heightens imagination and opens the door to creative inspiration, allowing abstract ideas and visions to flow more freely. It can feel like slipping on rose-colored glasses and seeing the beauty and potential in people and situations. While this perspective can be uplifting, take care not to overlook red flags or idealize things simply because you want them to be a certain way.

Later in the evening, at 10:55pm EST, the Sun trines Uranus, bringing a fresh wave of spontaneity and excitement. This is an excellent transit for shaking off stagnation, embracing surprises, and embarking on new adventures. The combined energy of the day makes it ideal for a spontaneous outing, trying something outside your usual routine, or simply moving through the world with curiosity and wonder.

September 24th: Sun trine Pluto ~ 2:04am EST // Mars square Pluto ~ 7:51am EST
Wednesday, September 24th carries a distinctly Plutonian tone, bringing depth, intensity, and focus. The day begins with the Sun trining Pluto at 2:04am EST, an empowering influence that lasts well into the day. This transit supports goal-setting, ambition, and personal strength, helping you shed fears and insecurities while stepping boldly into transformation. This is the constructive side of Pluto, the kind that fuels growth, courage, and lasting change.

Later, at 7:51am EST, Mars squares Pluto, a fixed square that has been building for several days and will linger through the week. This is a more volatile energy, one that heightens stubbornness, conflict, and power struggles. Anger and frustration can feel exaggerated, and the impulse to pull the rug out on yourself may be strong. While this can be destructive if left unchecked, it also offers an opportunity to reflect on power dynamics in your life and the world around you. Choose not to feed unhealthy imbalances or destructive impulses and instead direct the intensity into transformation rather than conflict.

With this, we close out the month’s major transits. I’ll be taking a short forecast break until October 1st, though readings are still open for booking. Wishing you a wonderful end to September! May you use the quieter days ahead to rest, reflect, and reset.

August Cosmic Calendar

August 1st: Venus square Saturn ~ 9:34am EST ~ 1 degree Cancer / Aries // Venus square Neptune ~ 4:48pm EST ~ 1 degree Cancer / Aries (Friday)
On Friday, August 1st, Venus forms a square to Saturn at 9:34am EST. With Venus newly in Cancer and Saturn at the early degrees of Aries, this tense aspect colors the mood for much of the day. It may bring up feelings of loneliness, emotional distance, or a sense of being burdened by relationship responsibilities. You might find yourself craving more freedom or space, especially if you’ve been feeling overly obligated or emotionally drained. Creative work can also feel heavier than usual, more like a chore than a joy.

Later in the day, Venus squares Neptune at 4:48pm EST, shifting the emotional tone. While this can bring a dreamy, romantic, or even mystical quality, it also blurs the line between reality and fantasy. It’s easy to slip into wishful thinking or avoid difficult truths under this influence.

Altogether, this isn’t the ideal day for major relationship or group decisions. Let things settle, and revisit them with a clearer mind tomorrow.

August 6th: Mars enters Libra ~ 7:23pm EST (Wednesday)
On Wednesday, August 6th, Mars enters Libra at 7:23pm EST, where it will remain until September 22nd. Mars is in its detriment in Libra, the sign opposite its ruler, Aries. This means Mars’ typical assertive, impulsive energy is tempered here. Libra favors compromise, balance, and diplomacy, which can be at odds with Mars’ desire for direct action and confrontation.

During this transit, we’re invited to approach conflict with more thoughtfulness and prioritize teamwork, collaboration, and mutual understanding. This is a powerful period for advocating for justice and fairness and for expressing anger or frustration in a constructive way (which will be easier after Mercury retrograde ends on August 11th).

That said, Mars in Libra can bring indecision or hesitation. You might find it harder to take a firm stand or commit when others around you are pulling in different directions. But remember, it’s entirely possible to honor your truth while still being kind, fair, and diplomatic.

August 7th [August 8th]: Mars trine Uranus ~ 2:45pm EST ~ 1 degree Libra / Gemini // Mars opposite Saturn ~ 10:52pm EST ~ 1 degree Libra / Aries  (Thursday) [Friday]
Tomorrow, Friday, August 8th, Mars forms a trine with Uranus and an opposition with Saturn. Mars just entered Libra a few days ago, and it trines Uranus in Gemini at 2:45pm EST, followed by an opposition to Saturn in Aries at 10:52pm EST. Both transits have been building over the past few days and will continue to resonate throughout the weekend.

The Mars-Uranus trine brings a spark of fresh energy, shaking off stagnation and opening the door to spontaneity, especially in group dynamics. Plans might shift unexpectedly, but try to stay flexible. The detours could lead to something surprisingly fun or inspiring. This transit also supports open-mindedness and progressive thinking.

Later in the day, the Mars-Saturn opposition introduces a more serious tone. You might encounter resistance, delays, or feel like your efforts aren’t yielding immediate results. It can feel like the universe is saying, “Not so fast,” pushing you to slow down and put in the necessary work.

Taken together, these two transits remind us not to cling too tightly to a fixed plan or idea. If one path feels like an uphill battle, consider whether a change in direction could align you with more ease and flow. Embrace Uranus' quirky, electric energy and let it show you a different way forward.

August 8th [August 9th]: Full Moon in Aquarius ~ 3:55am EST ~ 17 degrees Leo / Aquarius (Friday) [Saturday]
Today is the Lion’s Gate, 8/8, a magical and spiritually significant day when the Earth, the Sun in Leo, and the star Sirius align. This powerful portal is known for thinning the veil between worlds and amplifying our ability to connect with higher frequencies. It’s an ideal time for manifestation work, intuitive practices, and tuning into spiritual guidance. Personally, I’ve found this to be a potent day for connecting with loved ones who have passed, and even for helping earthbound spirits transition into new realms.

Adding to the cosmic energy, we have a Full Moon in Aquarius overnight, perfecting at 3:55am EST on Saturday, August 9th. The Sun sits at 17 degrees Leo, directly opposite the Moon at 17 degrees Aquarius. This lunation invites us to embrace change, rebellion, and independent thinking. Aquarius energy supports breaking free from outdated patterns or traditional structures that no longer serve you. It’s also a powerful time to connect with the collective. This makes it ideal for activism, charity work, or reflecting on how your actions ripple out into the wider world.

Think back to Aquarius Season, especially the New Moon on January 29th. Any intentions you set then, particularly around community, innovation, or collective consciousness, are now reaching a peak and beginning to manifest with greater clarity and momentum.

August 9th: Mars opposite Neptune ~ 6:12pm EST ~ 1 degree Libra / Aries (Saturday)
On Saturday, August 9th, Mars opposes Neptune at 6:12pm EST. It’s been a busy week for Mars, who just entered Libra on Tuesday and has been moving through a series of significant planetary aspects almost daily. This particular energy has been building over the past few days and will linger into early next week.

Mars opposite Neptune brings a dreamy, confusing, and somewhat disorienting vibe. It may feel harder than usual to get your bearings, as the line between fantasy and reality blurs. There can be a strong urge to escape from responsibility, clarity, or even our own emotions. If you stay grounded and aware, this transit can actually spark imagination and bring about unexpected, even mystical, twists.

It’s a good time to stay rooted in the real world while gently exploring the surreal. You may feel more empathetic or psychically porous, so be mindful of absorbing others’ emotions or projecting your inner landscape onto them. Lean into the poetic, creative side of this energy, but remember... it’s fleeting, and not everyone is experiencing it the same way you are. Stay anchored, and navigate with care.

August 10th: Mars trine Pluto ~ 8:29am EST ~ 2 degrees Libra / Aquarius (Sunday)
On Sunday, August 10th, Mars forms a trine to Pluto at 8:29am EST—yes, another Mars transit! This is the fifth one in just six days, and its influence will continue to ripple through midweek.

Mars trine Pluto is a powerful and empowering aspect. It brings focus, drive, and the courage to pursue your goals with intensity and determination. This is an excellent time to push past fear, claim your worth, and take decisive action. Whether you're asking for what you deserve, initiating a transformation, or stepping into a leadership role, this transit helps you do so with confidence and charisma.

You might notice others are drawn to your energy, or perhaps you’re captivated by someone else’s presence and momentum. Either way, this is a time to harness your inner power and move forward without letting fear hold you back.

August 11th: Mercury Rx ends ~ 3:29am EST ~ 4 degrees Leo (Monday)
On Monday, August 11th, Mercury retrograde finally comes to an end at 3:29am EST, stationing direct at 4 degrees of Leo. I don’t know about you, but this retrograde felt especially intense! As Mercury moves forward, we can expect tech glitches to ease up and communication to flow more smoothly. That said, Mercury will remain in its post-retrograde shadow until August 25th, meaning it won’t clear the degree it began its backtrack from (15 degrees Leo) until then. Over the next couple of weeks, there may still be some lingering issues to sort out or conversations that need follow-up. But once we pass the 25th, we’ll be on truly fresh ground. Those with prominent placements in the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) may start to feel a noticeable shift and sense of relief now that the retrograde is officially behind us.

August 12th [August 11th]: Saturn sextile Uranus ~ 11:31pm EST ~ 1 degree Aries / Gemini (Tuesday) [Monday] // Venus conjunct Jupiter ~ 1:30am EST Tuesday
Yesterday, on Monday, August 11th at 11:31pm EST, Saturn formed a sextile with Uranus. This is a significant and rare transit that’s been building over the past month and will continue to ripple into early September. This transit offers a welcome blend of structure and innovation, helping to ground some of the more chaotic or unstable energies we’ve been navigating.

Saturn’s sense of discipline and responsibility pairs harmoniously with Uranus’s drive for progress and change, allowing for transformation that unfolds steadily and with purpose. This is a supportive energy for endurance, long-term planning, and seeing breakthroughs emerge through sustained effort. It can also boost collaboration and teamwork, especially in group or community settings.

This is the first major connection between Saturn and Uranus since their tense square in 2020–2021, which brought a frustrating push-pull between restriction and upheaval. That period may have felt like a tug-of-war between clinging to the familiar and needing radical change. Now, in a cooperative sextile, their energies work together more smoothly, offering real potential for productive, lasting shifts.

The next time these planets meet will be in 2032, this time in a powerful conjunction! This will likely mark a major collective turning point and the beginning of a new global chapter.

In addition, today Venus and Jupiter are conjunct at 14 degrees Cancer. This is a very beautiful and heart-opening transit that can boost romance, compassion, and love. This is excellent for relationships, friendship and social gatherings, and creative and artistic pursuits. We will feel this transit all day on Tuesday the 12th.

August 14th: Mercury sextile Mars ~ 10:04pm EST ~ 5 degrees Leo / Libra (Thursday)
On Thursday, August 14th, Mercury forms a sextile to Mars at 10:04pm EST, with the energy building throughout the day. These two planets will remain in a fairly tight sextile for the next few days, with Mercury moving through Leo and Mars in Libra.

This is a mentally stimulating and energizing transit. Ideas may come through quickly and with a sense of urgency. Mercury and Mars are working together in a harmonious way, helping us make swift connections, think on our feet, and take decisive action. It’s a great time for conversation, brainstorming, and communication of all kinds, as information tends to flow more freely and effectively between people.

You might feel more mentally alert, curious, and eager to learn something new. This aspect can also sharpen reflexes and increase motivation to follow through on your ideas. It’s an excellent time to explore new perspectives or dive into projects that require both mental agility and initiative.

August 15th: Venus trine North Node ~ 9:18pm EST ~ 18 degrees Cancer / Pisces (Friday)
On Friday, August 15th, Venus forms a trine to the North Node at 9:18pm EST, with this energy resonating throughout the day. Venus will be at 18 degrees Cancer, while the North Node sits at 18 degrees Pisces.

This gentle yet powerful transit can bring serendipitous encounters and relationships that feel destined or deeply aligned. You may feel drawn toward certain people or connections with a sense of emotional clarity or inner knowing. It’s a beautiful time for deepening bonds, whether romantic, creative, or collaborative, and for making heartfelt commitments that feel aligned with your future path.

There may be a sense of taking a leap of faith, especially when it comes to vulnerability or long-term planning, but this leap has the potential to lead to meaningful, soul-centered growth. Trust where you’re being pulled... there’s something important waiting on the other side.

August 19th: Sun trine Chiron ~ 1:29pm EST ~ 26 degrees Leo / Aries (Tuesday)
On Tuesday, August 19th, the Sun forms a trine with Chiron at 1:29pm EST. As the final solar transit of Leo season, this one carries a particularly warm and encouraging tone. We’ll feel its effects all day, bringing opportunities for healing through self-expression and confidence.

This aspect can help us overcome old insecurities and find the courage to show up more fully as ourselves. It invites us to step into the light, embrace visibility, and release fears around being seen or judged. There’s a gentle, empowering energy here that is perfect for tending to the inner child and reconnecting with joy, playfulness, and creativity.

If you’ve been holding back or playing small, this is a beautiful time to take a bold step forward and trust in your worth.

August 21st [22nd]: Sun enters Virgo ~ 4:33pm EST // Venus square Chiron ~ 10:29pm EST ~ 26 degrees Cancer / Aries (Thursday) [Friday]
Tomorrow, Friday, August 22nd, we welcome Virgo Season as the Sun enters this mutable earth sign at 4:33pm EST. Virgo Season invites us to simplify, declutter, and find grounded solutions that bring more ease and flow into our daily lives. It’s a powerful time to tidy up (both physically and energetically!), clearing space to make room for clarity, purpose, and alignment.

Virgo is a humble, nature-connected sign that thrives when rooted in the physical world. Ruled by Mercury, Virgo can be quite mentally active (sometimes tipping into overthinking), so spending time outdoors or connecting with plants, animals, or simple routines can be incredibly grounding during this season. Those with their Sun in Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, or Capricorn tend to feel especially supported and energized by this shift.

Also on Friday, Venus forms a square with Chiron at 10:29pm EST. This aspect may stir up old insecurities in relationships or friendships, bringing unhealed wounds to the surface. Be mindful not to project past hurts onto present dynamics, especially when those around you aren’t the source of the original pain. If approached with honesty and compassion, this transit can be a powerful opportunity for healing through vulnerability and deeper connection.

August 22nd [23rd]: New Moon in Virgo ~ 2:06am EST ~ 0 degrees Virgo (Friday) [Saturday]
Overnight, in the early hours of Saturday, August 23rd, the New Moon in Virgo perfects at 2:06am EST. This is a potent lunation, taking place at 0 degrees Virgo, where the Sun and Moon meet in a fresh, fertile space of renewal. Both luminaries square Uranus, adding an element of unpredictability and tension, suggesting that amidst recent chaos or overstimulation, we are yearning for simplicity, calm, and order.

This New Moon encourages us to seek sanctuary, even if only for a moment. It may feel challenging to find peace, but carving out quiet space for yourself through silence, soft music, guided meditation, or gentle self-care can be deeply restorative. The Dark Moon is the most introspective phase of the lunar cycle, and during this time, we may be more sensitive to outside noise, conflict, or energetic clutter. Give yourself permission to withdraw and reset.

This is an excellent New Moon for releasing bad habits, quieting the mind, and nurturing your physical well-being. It's a time to align your inner world with the kind of peaceful, sustainable routine you want to create.

Those born between August 19–26, November 19–26, February 19–26, and May 19–26 may feel this New Moon especially strongly and will benefit from creating space to ground and recalibrate.

August 24th: Sun square Uranus ~ 3:14am EST ~ 1 degree Virgo / Gemini (Sunday)
On Sunday, August 24th, the Sun perfects its square to Uranus at 3:14am EST. This aspect was already building during yesterday’s New Moon in Virgo, and now that it’s exact, we may feel a noticeable spike in tension, unpredictability, or restlessness. The energy on Sunday could feel loud, chaotic, or erratic, especially as the Moon remains in Virgo and in its quiet, introspective Dark phase.

While the Sun-Uranus square stirs the unexpected, the Moon is craving simplicity, order, and solitude. You may feel torn between external demands and an internal need for calm. If you need to be out in the world or in social spaces today, make sure to protect your energy. Energetic hygiene, grounding, and post-event cleansing will go a long way in preventing overwhelm.

This day may bring surprises or twists that disrupt your usual rhythm, so be gentle with yourself and others. Prioritize rest when you can, and allow space for flexibility. Not everything will go according to plan, but some detours may offer insight or inspiration in disguise.

August 25th: Venus enters Leo ~ 12:27pm EST // Venus trine Saturn ~ 8:55pm EST ~ 0 degrees Leo / Aries (Monday)
On Monday, August 25th, Venus enters Leo at 12:27pm EST, where it will remain until September 19th. Venus in Leo is bold, warm, generous, and unapologetically proud. It is time to know your worth and embrace the radiant, golden, sunlike energy of Leo. Self-expression and vibrant displays of your true self are encouraged. Show off your love, give generous compliments, and shower affection freely. Venus in Leo thrives in connection, whether that’s out on the town with friends or enjoying romantic adventures. This is also an ideal time for artistic expression and speaking openly about your creative endeavors, sharing what you make with the world. Those with natal Venus in Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, or Sagittarius often feel especially inspired under this transit, receiving a noticeable romantic boost.

Later that day, Venus forms a trine to Saturn at 8:55pm EST, a supportive energy we’ll already feel building after Venus enters Leo. This pleasant aspect encourages consistency and reliability in relationships, supports long-term planning, and brings about graceful collaboration with others.

August 26th: Venus sextile Uranus ~ 4:58pm EST ~ 1 degree Leo / Gemini // Venus trine Neptune ~ 6:18pm EST ~ 1 degree Leo / Aries (Tuesday)
On Tuesday, August 26th, Venus (freshly in Leo as of yesterday) makes two notable transits. The first arrives at 4:58pm EST, when Venus sextiles Uranus in Gemini. This aspect can bring pleasant surprises, help break up relationship stagnation, and shake loose creative blocks. It’s an excellent day to try something new with your appearance. Dye your hair, experiment with a bold style, or pick up a statement outfit. Relationship dynamics may shift in fresh ways, but the sextile’s light, playful energy makes these changes feel exciting rather than unsettling.

Shortly after, at 6:18pm EST, Venus forms a trine with Neptune, an influence we’ll feel building all day. This dreamy, imaginative transit fills the mind with inspiration and possibility. The world can take on a softer, more ethereal glow, making it easier to connect with spiritual realms or sink into creative flow. Boundaries may feel more fluid, allowing for deeper emotional or spiritual closeness with loved ones, or a profound sense of unity with the world at large.

August 27th: Venus opposite Pluto ~ 1:53am EST ~ 1 degree Leo / Aquarius (Wednesday)
On Wednesday, August 27th, Venus opposes Pluto at 1:53am EST, a transit that builds overnight and lingers through much of the day. This marks the fifth Venus transit in just three days, but unlike the softer ones earlier in the week, this one carries a sharper, more intense edge.

Feelings of envy or insecurity may surface in interactions with others. We might feel possessive, excluded, or tempted to exert control in relationships with friends, family, or romantic partners. There can also be a craving for emotional intensity. This could look like seeking drama, tension, or high-stakes emotional moments.

The key is mindfulness. If these emotions arise, pause before reacting. Awareness can help prevent unnecessary conflict. On the positive side, this transit can fuel deep and powerful artistic expression, making it an excellent time to pour strong emotions into creative work.

August 28th: Uranus sextile Neptune ~ 8:08pm EST ~ 1 degree Gemini / Aries (Thursday)
On Thursday, August 28th, Uranus forms a sextile to Neptune at 8:08pm EST, a rare and significant transit that’s been building for the past month and will continue to influence us through September. Uranus sits at 1 degree Gemini while Neptune is at 1 degree Aries. This is considered one of the most momentous alignments of 2025, carrying a distinctly spiritual tone.

Uranus–Neptune energy is known for raising consciousness, shaking the collective awake from illusion, and encouraging independent, visionary thinking. It supports breaking away from groupthink, questioning consensus, and arriving at profound realizations about both your own life and the state of the world. Hidden truths may surface, and we may be more open than usual to moments of illumination and personal evolution.

Because this is a sextile (the gentlest of planetary aspects), these shifts are likely to feel like a natural unfolding rather than a disruptive shock. The last time these planets formed this aspect was in 1967–1968 (in different signs), a period marked by sweeping cultural and political change: the rise of counterculture, mass protests, a growing awareness of systemic corruption, and the emergence of psychedelic exploration—all strongly Uranus/Neptune themes.

Similarly, this transit could serve as a cultural pivot point for the 2020s, catalyzing shifts we’ll look back on as transformative decades from now.

August 31st: Mercury trine Chiron ~ 3:44pm EST ~ 26 degrees Leo / Aries (Sunday)
On Sunday, August 31st, we close out the month with Mercury forming a trine to Chiron at 3:44pm EST. Mercury is nearing the end of Leo at 26 degrees, and this harmonious connection brings opportunities for meaningful ideas and conversations to emerge with ease. The energy supports healing through words, whether spoken, written, or reflected upon privately.

This is an excellent day for cathartic journaling, openhearted dialogue, or any form of expression that helps release what’s been bottled up. It can also aid in mental healing by encouraging new habits and thought patterns that reshape how we engage with the world. With Mercury in expressive Leo, sharing your ideas openly and letting your voice be heard can be especially empowering.

July Cosmic Calendar

July 3rd [July 4th]: Venus conjunct Uranus ~ 8:45am EST ~ 29 degrees Taurus // Venus enters Gemini ~ 11:30am EST (Thursday) [Friday]
Tomorrow, on Friday, July 4th, Venus forms a conjunction with Uranus at the 29th degree of Taurus, exact at 8:45am EST and especially potent in the hours surrounding that time. Since this is the final, or anaretic, degree of the sign, it brings heightened intensity and urgency. Unexpected events may arise in relationships, stirring up surprises or sudden shifts. Some people may embrace the spontaneity and impulsiveness of the day, feeling excited by the fresh energy. Others might feel unsettled and crave stability. You could be caught off guard by the words or actions of those close to you. Others may also feel that way about your behavior. It’s also a good day for bold aesthetic changes, like a dramatic haircut, a new hair color, or even a tattoo. Creative inspiration may strike suddenly, with lots of new ideas coming in. The energy is lively and chaotic but will settle a bit once Venus moves into Gemini.

Venus enters Gemini at 11:30am EST, where it will remain until July 30th. In this airy placement, the focus shifts to socializing, witty conversation, and mental stimulation. Even if you're more introverted, you may feel curious about exchanging ideas or engaging in lighthearted interactions. Venus in Gemini is flirty, playful, and whimsical, but not particularly emotional or deep, preferring movement over intensity. Those with natal Venus in Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, or Aquarius will likely enjoy this period the most, as it brings a boost to romance, creativity, and personal charm. It may feel more neutral for those with Venus in Taurus, Cancer, Scorpio, or Capricorn. If your Venus is in Virgo, Sagittarius, or Pisces, the breezy, noncommittal vibe may feel frustrating at times. Still, this is a great opportunity to explore more lighthearted connections and let go of the need for everything to feel so emotionally charged.

July 4th: Neptune retrograde begins ~ 5:32pm EST ~ 2 degrees Aries (Friday)
On Friday, July 4th, Neptune begins its annual retrograde at 5:32pm EST. This retrograde starts with Neptune at 2 degrees Aries and lasts until December 10th. During this time, Neptune will move back into the final degree of Pisces, offering a last review and closure of that chapter before re-entering Aries for good. Neptune spends about five months in retrograde each year, so this is energy we’re somewhat used to.

While Neptune appears to move backward, we’re invited to slow down and turn inward. It’s a time to trust our intuition, tune in to our dreams, and reconnect with our imagination and spiritual beliefs. Creative insights may deepen, but clarity in the outer world can waver. This is especially true if we ignore our inner guidance. The more you resist your instincts, the more disoriented you may feel. Lean into your intuition and allow it to guide you through the fog. This retrograde will be especially impactful for those with strong placements (sun, moon, rising) in Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn, who may find themselves reflecting more deeply on their spiritual path or inner truths.

July 6th: Venus sextile Saturn ~ 4:43am EST ~ 1 degree Gemini / Aries // Venus sextile Neptune ~ 10:46am EST ~ 2 degrees Gemini / Aries (Sunday) also mention Venus trine Pluto Monday
There are three Venus transits taking place over the next couple of days, all set into motion by Venus’s recent move into Gemini. On Sunday, July 6th, the day begins with Venus sextile Saturn at 4:43am EST. This aspect brings a grounded, stabilizing energy to relationships. It encourages deeper commitment, emotional maturity, and a sense of responsibility toward those we care about. You may find yourself offering wise counsel or being entrusted with sensitive information, as others see you as steady and dependable.

Later that morning, Venus forms a sextile to Neptune at 10:46am EST. This soft, dreamy transit heightens imagination and intuition, making it easier to tune into the feelings of others. Compassion flows more freely, and your heart may feel more open than usual. This is a beautiful influence for creative expression, and things may tumble out of you that feel channeled or divinely inspired.

On Monday, July 7th, Venus will trine Pluto, adding intensity and magnetism to connections. This is a powerful aspect for romance and attraction, and can also enhance our ability to persuade or influence others. Emotional connections may deepen, and passions may rise to the surface.

Meanwhile, Uranus remains at the critical 29th degree of Taurus and is preparing to enter Gemini on July 7th. This transitional phase can feel unstable or unpredictable, and has since mid-June. If things have felt charged or chaotic, you're not imagining it. This is the final stretch before a major shift. Hang in there!

July 7th: Uranus enters Gemini ~ 3:45am EST (Monday)
On Monday, July 7th, Uranus enters Gemini at 3:45am EST. It will remain there until November 7th, when it retrogrades back into Taurus for a final visit. It will eventually be returning to Gemini in April 2026, where it will stay until 2032. This marks the last of the outer planet sign changes in 2025, a highly significant year in astrology. With Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto all shifting signs, this year signals profound collective transformation and the start of a new era.

Uranus represents sudden change, innovation, and disruption. Wherever it moves, it brings awakenings, breakthroughs, and sometimes chaos. In Gemini (the sign of communication, information, travel, and social connection), we can expect major shifts in how we interact, learn, and share ideas. Advances in technology, social media, education, and global connectivity are likely to accelerate rapidly. This is an inventive and dynamic placement for Uranus, and one that aligns more naturally with its energy than the slower, earthbound Taurus. For some, this may feel like a relief; for others, it may bring discomfort, especially if change feels overwhelming or benefits aren't equally distributed.

Historically, Uranus last moved through Gemini from 1941 to 1948. This was obviously a time of radical global upheaval and rapid innovation during and after World War II. While history won’t repeat itself exactly, we may see echoes of that same restlessness and transformation.

If you have significant natal placements (Sun, Moon, or rising) in the mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, or Pisces) you’re likely to feel this transit more strongly. Sudden changes or disruptions could push you toward new paths, even if they don’t come easily at first. Try not to resist the shifts. Uranus clears the way for breakthroughs and liberation.

To understand where this energy will impact you most personally, look to the house Gemini occupies in your natal chart. For example, I have Gemini in the 4th house, which means I can expect changes related to home, family, roots, and how I connect with the past, both personal and collective.

July 10th: Full Moon in Capricorn ~ 4:36pm EST ~ 18 degrees Cancer / Capricorn (Thursday)
On Thursday, July 10th, the Full Moon in Capricorn perfects at 4:36pm EST, with the Moon at 18 degrees Capricorn opposing the Sun at 18 degrees Cancer. This is a highly motivating full moon, ideal for making tangible progress on career goals and long-term ambitions. It carries strong energy for manifestation, especially in professional realms or efforts tied to your lasting legacy.

Think back to Capricorn season (December 2024–January 2025). What were you hoping to build or initiate around that time? You may now be seeing the results of intentions set during that period, particularly near the New Moon in Capricorn on December 30th.

This full moon falls in the second decan of Capricorn, which is ruled by Venus. This adds a collaborative and creative element to the lunation, suggesting that partnerships or teamwork could play a key role in achieving shared goals. Creative projects with long-term potential may also see meaningful momentum or breakthroughs this week.

Those with significant placements in the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) will feel this full moon most strongly, especially if you were born between the 5th and 11th of those signs' respective months (April, July, October, January).

July 11th: Sun trine North Node ~ 8:57pm EST ~ 19 degrees Cancer / Pisces (Friday)
On Friday, July 11th, the Sun forms a trine to the North Node at 8:57pm EST, with the Sun at 19 degrees Cancer and the North Node at 19 degrees Pisces. This is a supportive and uplifting aspect that builds throughout the day on Friday and lingers into the first half of Saturday. It can bring a boost of confidence, clarity, and motivation, making it easier to align with your sense of purpose.

You may feel more willing to take a risk, try something new, or move in the direction of a long-held dream. This transit offers a gentle but powerful push toward growth. These impulses often feel aligned with your soul's path. Whether or not you choose to act is entirely up to you, but this transit makes it easier to step into flow and forward motion. Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces) are especially tuned into this energy, but with intention, anyone can tap into it.

July 13th: Saturn retrograde begins ~ 12:07am EST ~ 1 degree Aries (Sunday)
On Sunday, July 13th, Saturn stations retrograde at 12:07am EST, joining Neptune and Pluto in the growing list of planets currently in retrograde. This Saturn retrograde will last until November 28th. Saturn typically spends about four months of each year in retrograde, and during this time, we’re called to revisit unfinished business, especially responsibilities or long-term plans we've delayed or avoided. What’s been swept under the rug may now return, demanding our attention. “Later” has arrived.

Saturn begins this retrograde at 1 degree Aries and will move back into Pisces over the coming months. Each phase carries a slightly different tone. From now through September 1st, with Saturn in Aries, the focus will be on personal accountability. This shows up particularly around independence, solo projects, and asserting boundaries. You may feel the need to speak more directly in order to reclaim your time and energy, or feel burdened by the responsibilities others place on you. This period may feel especially potent for those born in the first week of Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn season.

Patience is key. Saturn teaches us to build slowly and sustainably. You don’t need to solve everything at once. Steady, consistent effort will get you where you need to go.

July 17th [July 18th]: Mercury retrograde begins ~ 12:44am EST ~ 15 degrees Leo (Thursday) [Friday]
Mercury stations retrograde tomorrow, Friday, July 18th, at 12:44am EST. This retrograde begins with Mercury at 15 degrees Leo and lasts until August 11th, with the planet closest to the Sun traveling back to 4 degrees Leo. Mercury retrograde invites us to slow down, double-check our work, and be more intentional with how we communicate. With Mercury moving through Leo, we may feel personally misunderstood, or like our self-expression is being overlooked or undervalued. Emotions might feel bigger than usual, and some may react with dramatic flair or immaturity if they’re feeling unseen or unheard. While this retrograde affects everyone, it will be especially noticeable for those with their Sun, Moon, or Mercury in the fixed signs: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius. The key to navigating this energy is self-awareness, and remembering that how others behave often has little to do with us. Someone might seem short or irritated, not because of you, but because of something else entirely. Practice compassion, communicate clearly, and don’t be afraid to directly ask for what you need.

July 18th: Mercury sextile Venus ~ 9:36am EST ~ 15 degrees Leo / Gemini (Friday)
On Friday, July 18th, Mercury, now retrograde in Leo, forms a sextile to Venus in Gemini at 9:36am EST. The energy of this transit will be felt throughout the day, bringing a light, sociable tone to our interactions. Conversations may feel easier, and we might find ourselves more curious or open to connection. Since Mercury is retrograde, there could be a need to revisit or resolve something from the past before moving forward with new ideas or plans. Fortunately, the sextile is a supportive, harmonious aspect that can make this process feel smooth and even enjoyable. Clearing the air now sets the stage for deeper collaboration and more meaningful communication moving ahead.

July 19th: Sun square Chiron ~ 8:48am EST ~ 27 degrees Cancer / Aries (Saturday)
On Saturday, July 19th, the Sun in Cancer forms a square to Chiron in Aries at 8:48am EST, with both planetary bodies at 27 degrees. This cardinal square colors the energy of the entire day, bringing a more reactive emotional tone. Old wounds or unresolved issues may surface, and we might find ourselves dwelling on the past or feeling triggered by things that normally wouldn’t bother us. Some may misdirect these feelings onto others, even if they aren’t connected to the root cause. The key is to return to the present moment. Ground yourself, and lean into self-trust and emotional safety. Vulnerability can feel intimidating, but it’s the path to healing and freedom. Today’s energy supports that process if you’re willing to meet it with compassion.

July 20th: Mars conjunct South Node ~ 9:59pm EST ~ 19 degrees Virgo (Sunday)
On Sunday, July 20th, Mars aligns with the South Node of the Moon at 19 degrees Virgo, perfecting at 9:59pm EST. This energy is palpable all day. It’s been building over the past few days and will linger into the next few as well. This conjunction can stir up old patterns, prompting us to repeat past behaviors or get caught in recurring conflicts. With the South Node involved, there may even be a karmic or past-life quality to what surfaces now. The energy is impulsive and reactive, making it easier to lash out or act from frustration. Try to pause, breathe, and observe what’s unfolding. Are you repeating a familiar pattern with someone in your life? Taking space to reflect can offer insight into unconscious dynamics. For some, this may not involve a specific person but rather a competitive or envious drive that’s ready to be acknowledged and softened. While this transit can feel intense, it offers a powerful opportunity for reflection, and the chance to release cycles that no longer serve you.

July 21st: Venus square Nodes ~ 9:20pm EST ~ 19 degrees Gemini / Pisces (Monday)
On Monday, July 21st, Venus forms a square to the Nodes of the Moon at 9:20pm EST, though we’ll feel this energy building throughout the day and tapering off into Tuesday. This mutable T-square carries a distinctly karmic tone, drawing attention to relationships that may be stuck in outdated patterns. These are bonds that no longer align with who you are or what you want your life to look like. This is a potent day for reflection on friendships, partnerships, creative collaborators, and work dynamics. Are these connections truly serving you? Do you keep finding yourself in the same emotional loops with someone, over and over again? You might benefit from meditation or even a past life regression to explore the deeper roots of certain bonds. At the same time, this transit can also draw new people into your life. These are individuals who may play a meaningful part in your next chapter. Some might be entirely new, while others are longtime acquaintances stepping into a new role. Stay open to where you're being guided. This is also the final day of Cancer season, amplifying sensitivity and intuition. Trust what you feel.

July 22nd: Sun enters Leo ~ 9:29am EST (Tuesday)
Happy Leo Season! The Sun enters Leo at 9:29am EST on Tuesday, July 22nd. As the fifth sign of the zodiac and a fixed fire sign, Leo brings boldness, warmth, and a flair for the dramatic. This energy is creative, passionate, and full of life. It invites us to take up space, share our gifts, and lead from the heart. Leo Season reminds us that there’s power in being seen and joy in being unapologetically ourselves. Now is not the time to shrink! This is your invitation to shine, to play, and to express your truest self with confidence and pride. It’s also the perfect season to reconnect with what brings you happiness and to pour energy into what lights you up. While it can be a more self-focused period, this isn’t about selfishness. It’s about honoring your unique voice and allowing that light to guide you forward. Those with their natal Sun in Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, or Sagittarius are likely to feel especially lit up this season, as the Leo Sun forms harmonious angles that boost vitality, optimism, and creative momentum.

July 23rd: Sun sextile Uranus ~ 1:32am EST ~ 0 degrees Leo / Gemini // Venus square Mars ~ 4:23am EST ~ 21 degrees Gemini / Virgo (Wednesday)
On Wednesday, July 23rd, the Sun (newly in Leo) forms a sextile to Uranus at 1:32am EST, setting the tone for much of the day. This is a helpful, lively transit that supports breaking out of stagnation and bringing a little spontaneity or adventure into your routine. You may find yourself craving something different, feeling ready to shake things up or add excitement to your day. It’s a great time to gently rebel against anything that feels overly rigid, dull, or limiting.

Later in the morning, at 4:23am EST, Venus squares Mars, an aspect that’s been building for the past couple of days and will continue to influence us through the end of the week. This is a more challenging energy that can heighten tension in relationships, especially where there’s already friction. Emotions may feel extreme or confusing, flipping between desire and frustration, affection and irritation. The recent themes around unhealthy or outdated relationship patterns remain front and center. As we move closer to tomorrow’s New Moon in Leo, it’s important to notice where you're slipping into reactive or unconscious behavior in your connections. You may need to set clearer boundaries or find a healthier outlet for simmering frustrations. The energy is potent but also ripe for growth, if you're willing to reflect and respond with intention.

July 24th: New Moon in Leo ~ 3:11pm EST ~ 2 degrees * mention Sun transits (Thursday)
On Thursday, July 24th, the New Moon in Leo perfects at 3:11pm EST, with the Sun and Moon meeting in conjunction at 2 degrees Leo. This lunation is highly active, forming supportive trines to Saturn and Neptune, a sextile to Uranus, and an opposition to Pluto, giving it a sense of deeper collective importance and emotional complexity.

This New Moon encourages us to release self-doubt and stop worrying about what others might think or say behind our backs. This energy is powerful and it invites us to reclaim our confidence, creativity, and sense of purpose. Leo energy wants us to take up space, express ourselves boldly, and stop waiting for external permission to shine. However, with so many planetary transits woven through this lunation, some may feel more inward, contemplative, or even emotionally stirred. It's okay to feel this way. The internal work done now will lay the foundation for big action later. To align with this New Moon, consider connecting with the energy of the Sun itself: spend time outdoors and bask in its rays safely, or appreciate all it brings to our planet.

Those with their Sun, Moon, or rising signs in the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) will feel this lunation most strongly, especially if born between April 21–28, July 22–29, October 21–28, or January 20–27.

July 25th: Sun opposite Pluto ~ 2:32am EST ~ 2 degrees Leo / Aquarius (Friday)
On Friday, July 25th, the Sun in Leo opposes Pluto in Aquarius at 2:32am EST. We began feeling this energy under yesterday’s New Moon, and it continues to influence us throughout Friday and into early Saturday. This is a potent and rebellious transit, one that challenges the status quo and can stir up issues around power, control, and authority. Stubbornness or tension in power dynamics may surface, especially if something in your life feels out of alignment.

The upside of this energy is the deep willpower it can bring. It can help in facing a challenge head-on and refusing to back down when something really matters. But even if your life is relatively calm right now, that fiery edge may still be present, so be mindful not to direct it toward people who don't deserve it. Instead, channel the intensity into something productive. Push yourself in a workout, tackle a personal goal, or dive into a healthy competition (even a board game can do the trick!). This energy can be revitalizing and powerful as long as we are able to wield it correctly.

July 28th: Venus sextile Chiron ~ 12:55pm EST ~ 27 degrees Gemini / Aries (Monday)
On Monday, July 28th, Venus forms a sextile to Chiron at 12:55pm EST. Venus is at 27 degrees Gemini, and Chiron is at 27 degrees Aries, just days away from beginning its retrograde journey. This is the final aspect Chiron makes before this retrograde, and its energy colors the entire day. This transit offers a powerful opportunity for emotional and relational healing. Vulnerability, compassion, and mutual support come more easily now, making it an ideal time for honest conversations, reconciliation, and acts of kindness in friendships, romantic relationships, and family dynamics. Creative expression may also feel especially cathartic today, bringing a sense of peace and freedom through art.

July 29th [July 30th]: Chiron retrograde begins ~ 10:41am EST ~ 27 degrees Aries (Tuesday) [Wednesday]
Tomorrow, Wednesday, July 30th, Chiron stations retrograde at 10:41am EST. This retrograde will last until January 2nd, taking Chiron from 27 degrees back to 22 degrees Aries. Chiron retrograde is a powerful time for deep, internal healing, especially the kind that asks us to look beneath the surface and confront what’s been buried. While that process isn’t always easy, it can be incredibly cathartic and eventually bring lasting relief.

This retrograde may stir up themes around independence and personal freedom, especially rooted in childhood experiences. Many of us grew up with limited agency, expected to follow rules and suppress parts of ourselves to fit the expectations of adults. While guidance from caretakers can be helpful, sometimes it comes at the expense of our authenticity or joy. Now is a time to reconnect with the parts of you that were silenced or shamed. Bring out your inner artist, your silly side, your boldness or curiosity. Maybe you were told to "be practical" instead of creative, or to "act mature" instead of playful. This retrograde invites you to reclaim those parts and give them safe space to breathe again.

Healing doesn’t have to happen all at once. This is a slow and unfolding process. Let it take the time it needs over the next five months.

July 30th: Venus enters Cancer ~ 11:57pm EST (Wednesday)
Today, Wednesday, July 30th, Venus enters Cancer at 11:57pm EST, where it will remain until August 25th. Venus in Cancer brings a soft, romantic, and nurturing energy, one that strengthens deep emotional bonds, loving commitment, and care for the people closest to us. This transit encourages quality time, heartfelt gestures, and the simple joys of home and connection.

We may crave more emotional security in relationships or financial matters and feel extra attuned to the needs of those we love. There’s a sweetness and tenderness in the air, but also a heightened sensitivity. It’s important to strike a balance between togetherness and healthy alone time.

This is a beautiful period for creating art, expressing love, or simply enjoying quiet comforts. Those with natal Venus in Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, or Pisces are especially supported by this transit and may feel a boost in love and creative pursuits. If your Venus is in Gemini, Leo, Sagittarius, or Aquarius, this is more of a neutral influence, neither particularly challenging nor energizing. For those with Venus in Aries, Libra, or Capricorn, this transit may require more intentional effort in relationships, especially around emotional responsiveness and showing care.

July 31st: Sun conjunct Mercury ~ 7:41pm EST ~ 9 degrees Leo (Thursday)
On Thursday, July 31st, we close out the month with a conjunction between the Sun and Mercury at 7:41pm EST. This Mercury Cazimi occurs at 9 degrees Leo, in the first decan of the sign (also ruled by the Sun), amplifying its bold, radiant energy. Mercury Cazimi is a transit that delivers mental clarity and brilliance, often described as a spark of genius or a lightning bolt of insight. It’s said that this aspect is present at the birth of those who are ahead of their time.

During the heart of this transit (from 6:41 to 8:41pm EST), pay close attention to any ideas, thoughts, or intuitive flashes that come through. Keep a journal nearby or talk them out with someone. These insights can be powerful but fleeting. If you’re asleep during this window, make a point to record your dreams upon waking. Even if the insights aren’t fully conscious, they may linger in your subconscious, waiting for the right moment to emerge.
