Today's Forecast - 12/10/14

The theme for today is personal reflection, and expansion of one's inner worlds into the material plane. Jupiter moved retrograde on Monday, and this has the effect of slowing down outer events in the realm of whichever of your houses Jupiter is transiting through. Jupiter in Leo is a fun-loving placement for the planet, but in retrograde motion it becomes very easy for the influence to cause us to overdo or overextend ourselves. Keep in mind that retrograde motion is in actuality an illusion; planets do not move backwards through orbit, but from our vantage point on Earth it appears as though they do. Retrogrades in general, then, are an illusion manifest, and are pierced through by personal awareness and vigilant intention.

Venus moved into Saturn-ruled Capricorn this afternoon, which is not the most natural marriage of energies. If Venus and Saturn can learn to work as a team, then so can we. There is a certain domesticity to this influence, a desire to nest and turn in with our loved ones. Working on projects together and getting things done becomes a priority.

The Sun and Mercury are both trine the North Node of the moon right now, and this will have a large scale effect on world society. Karmic issues will be examined, and debts will be due. Wrongs will have to be made right, and ultimately admitted to all. Justice is a theme that is being examined throughout our personal lives right now. Unfairness may abound for a spell, but will be corrected through the piercing karmic knife that is the North Node. This node is sitting in Libra right now, and finally has an opportunity to drastically affect the current astrological climate. This summer and fall's opposition to Uranus likely spun the concept of justice on its head and nothing in the world seemed to make sense. As Uranus moves further away in its retrograde march through the sign of Aries, the Node can breathe again and is infused with the light of the Sun. Over the coming weeks there will be little room for chaos, only mercy, transformation and the restoration of balance.
