Weekly Forecast: 12/26/14 through 1/1/15
Friday, December 26th - Boxing Day brings healing energy from the gentle guide, Chiron. The asteroid embodies the wounded healer archetype and today this celestial cleric will offer us the opportunity to overcome past hurts. In addition, any wrongs we may have caused will be brought to mind today in an effort to repair low vibration, non-useful energetic patterns we have unknowingly let loose into the world. A Mercury and North Node square this evening will deliver us with purpose and precision. How difficult it will be to communicate anything aside from our highest truth! Relationships may be a subject we examine today. An opportunity for evolution rests in how aware we are when interacting with those we love. Both the moon and Chiron link up in conjunction in the sign of dreamy Pisces tonight, and form a double sextile with Pluto in Capricorn. This is an ideal night for introspection, healing and appreciation of those we share our lives with. Rose quartz opens up our hearts; minerals of a rainbow of hues can align each chakra tonight.
Saturday, December 27th - The Sun doesn't feel very at home in the sign of Capricorn, and so the ego falls to confusion at times during this period each year. Today illusion and fantasy feed us and let us escape from our egos and their unending demands. The Sun and Neptune sextile in the early hours of the day and give way to colorful dreams, poetic inclinations and hypnogogic inspiration. It may feel a bit like sleepwalking, but any confusion you experience can be channeled into arts or craftwork of any medium. Pisces individuals, Sagittarians, Geminis and Capricorns can make use of this influence the best. Emotions will be harmonious, if a bit murky, thanks to the Moon in sextile with both Mercury and Venus. The Moon is void of course from 10:44am EST until very early Sunday morning, which adds to the surreal haze of the day. Moon in quincunx with Jupiter may make you feel as though you are busting with ideas but lack the drive to follow through. Carry a grounding stone; go out into nature today.
Sunday, December 28th - The moon moves into the sign of Aries this morning, which will give us a boost of energy and enthusiasm. The ram's moon trines with Saturn early in the day, which will sharpen our emotional responses and allow us to get things done without too much waffling or procrastination. How do we expand on the concepts of love and beauty, and share the vision of these we possess with the rest of the world? Venus quincunx Jupiter will raise this question for us. The world and its current state of affairs is hazy and indirect while posing under the mask of wisdom. Today's influence is good for breaking down these barriers. Independent action (Moon in Aries) mixes with shock and awe (Moon conjunct Uranus tonight) to truly shake up the unstable aspects of both personal life as well as society. It is not enough today to do what has been done before; we must propel both ourselves and the small circles we inhabit in society forward into the unknown. The final week of the year is a perfect time to manifest and look into the future with both idealistic and realistic anticipation. The Moon and Sun square this afternoon, so remember, as always, to approach the day with awareness and humble curiosity. Carry a stone that represents what you wish to offer the world.
Monday, December 29th - The Arian moon is quite active today. Beginning a little after midnight, a Pluto square and North node opposition a few hours later could make the sleeping hours a little less restful than one would like. Perhaps the time to rise comes too soon, or dreams cause fitful sleep. The Moon moves into a sharp square with Mercury around 11am EST and this can create the tendency to say things based primarily on our own emotions, with no logic or reason attached. It can also create a need to move into oneself, away from others and personal obligations. Fire signs may feel this way. Around 2pm the moon moves into trine with Jupiter in Leo and this will give a quick boost of energy and hopefulness. Buoyant spirits fill the air and carry the day to sunset. Tonight the moon moves void of course at 7:46pm EST, right around the time it squares Venus. It is best to get to bed early tonight and avoid any important discussions or decisions. Things will appear brighter and easier to understand come morning. Empty your pockets of stones today; instead, program one with your intentions and let it soak up moonlight or salt water.
Tuesday, December 30th - This morning, the moon comes out of its void period and enters the fruitful sign of Taurus at around 6:30am EST. It forms a quincunx with Saturn, which will give a boost to the need to create and fill ones surroundings with beautiful, peaceful things. It may be difficult to tend to responsibilities. The need to daydream is so great! Pleasant aspects fill the rest of the day in the form of a Moon sextile Neptune contact in the afternoon and a Moon trine Sun aspect later tonight. Dreamy, fantastical thinking is sure to come around, particularly to those with Taurus or Pisces in any of their personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Ascendant). Emotions can reach a real harmony tonight, and it is a good thing to start your idealistic visions now. Try your best to figure out how to make them reality, even if what you feel like doing is waxing poetic. Carry a moonstone.
Wednesday, December 31st - The energy of today follows an interesting arc. The morning sees a Moon trine Pluto aspect along with a Moon sextile Chiron. This combination makes for a lackadaisical sort of attitude to starting the day, mixed with a driving need to accomplish something. Wild oscillations in mood might be apparent, particularly for Taureans and Capricorns. Add into the mix a strange Moon quincunx North Node at 9am EST and the day is off to a rather puzzling start. What is it that other people mean? Even the most obvious messages from others might leave us feeling like we are alone on another planet. This evening, at 7pm, the moon squares both Jupiter and Mars, forming a t-square with the Jupiter/Mars opposition that is nearly in formation. This will feel like a wall is being hit. The energy of tonight is fairly volatile. You might feel impulsive, but try not to do anything too out of character. By 11pm Moon trine Mercury will make it easier to relate to your fellow humans. Astral energies are high tonight, but there is a grounding influence in the Taurus moon. Happy new year's eve... carry a rainbow colored stone to embody all aspects of the cosmos tonight. Try chalcopyrite.
Thursday, January 1st - Another pass around the sun. The moon is void of course briefly from 7:19am EST until 12:09pm. Use the morning to recuperate, if possible. Early vibes include the ever delightful Moon trine Venus aspect, which causes tender feelings to blossom. It's a good morning to stay in bed with someone you love, or work on a creative project which inspires peace and serenity in you. Around noon the moon moves over to the sign of Gemini as it comes out of its void period. Try to save any errands or plans for the afternoon. The only dense energy to contend with is a cross in the form of Mars opp. Jupiter and Moon opp. Saturn. You likely won't want to do any work, so don't even bother if you can get away with it. Impulsive attitudes, particularly towards those around you, will be prominent. Be respectful of others and try not to take out any grievances on those who don't deserve it. Around 9pm the moon moves out of the cross and into a square with Neptune. Let your feelings flow freely. Don't try to block up any emotional currents. Carry a sapphire or aquamarine.
Keep in mind that years passing by are strictly a product of the physical plane. While the earth might take "a year" to pass around the sun, time is truly relative and should not limit us as much as it does. Let's change our attitudes about it. We might abide by the rules of the third dimension, but that doesn't mean they can't be bent. Thanks for reading. -AW
