Weekly Forecast: 10/2/15 through 10/8/15
Friday, October 2nd - All of the day's major aspects take place before 11am EST, leaving the afternoon and evening off from the influence of planetary transits (except of course the ones in your own natal chart!). We start the day with a Moon/Mercury trine. The moon is presently in Gemini, so this will aid with any strain in relationships. If you have been having trouble communicating with others, this influence will be particularly helpful. The Mercury retrograde has been exacerbating social insecurities, but this will lift a little today. The moon squares Neptune, trines the Sun and squares Jupiter. The squares of the day are useful at grounding us into the present moment and are excellent for group work, accomplishing routine tasks, and sticking to the daily grind. They are not so helpful in the realms of imagination, creativity or getting off the beaten path. Some, likely Virgo and Gemini, will rebel against this kind of day and may experience trouble with authority. The evening is relatively peaceful. Use it to take a break from energy and emotional shifts and return to basics. It is a good opportunity to wipe the slate and start fresh tomorrow.
Saturday, October 3rd - Whereas yesterday was relatively quiet astrologically, today is a busy day in the cosmos! We start with a moon/Chiron square and a moon/Uranus sextile just after midnight. Energy is a bit erratic. It is easy to begin projects but maybe not complete them. It could be a challenge for some to sit still. Get out pent up physical energy by keeping active in some way or another. This afternoon the moon sextiles Venus before moving void of course at 1:19pm EST. Communication with a loved one could be given a gentle boost. It's a nice day for a date or for getting to know someone you've just met. Writer's block may be lifted this afternoon, and the creative flow comes without warning. This afternoon is ideal for keeping things light and fun. Heavy topics may not go anywhere and could result in circular discussions. The void lasts until 8:22pm EST, when the moon enters Cancer. It promptly squares the North Node. Some may find themselves in the middle of an argument or misunderstanding, forced to act out the role of mediator. In this case, it is likely that Aquarius, Gemini, Pisces or Scorpio will be the peacemaker.
Sunday, October 4th - The moon squares Mercury and sextiles Mars this morning at 2am and 6am, respectively. Misunderstandings arise, particularly around the subject of mothers or motherhood. If this does not apply to you, there may still be the potential for mishaps in the home. Consider tidying up, organizing or beautifying your house and living environment in some way or another. 'Fall cleaning' can help clear out any stagnant energy. The moon trines Neptune at 10am, which is a wonderfully daydreamy kind of transit. It is easy to experience empathy and tap into the collective unconscious. This is particularly useful for creative work, healing or simply offering a friend who is going through a rough time some comfort. This evening the moon makes several aspects at once, opposing Pluto, sextiling Jupiter and squaring the Sun at 5pm EST. Some could feel a bit touchy or crabby (the moon is in Cancer the crab after all...). It is not a good idea to engage in any power struggles in relationships or at work. It is, however, a nice evening to break up the routine and perhaps do something fun to treat yourself. Include your loved ones if you would like. The Jupiter sextile makes the night ripe for an adventure.
Monday, October 5th - This morning the moon trines Chiron and squares Uranus before moving void of course at 7:05am EST. There are no more major aspects until tomorrow. It is an excellent day for getting energy work or a massage, or indulging in some kind of relaxation or comfort. Treat yourself, even if it's just to something small. There is the possibility of arguments arising, especially for Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. These arguments are likely fleeting. It may be difficult to come up with new ideas today unless you've properly rested and relaxed. The void period lasts until tomorrow, and so it's not the best day to make any major decisions or life changes. Hold off on signing contracts, making large purchases or starting new relationships. Mercury retrograde exacerbates this and will make it challenging to reverse any decisions made today.
Tuesday, October 6th - The moon exits its void at 4:31am EST and enters Leo. The Leo moon sextiles the North Node and promptly trines Saturn and sextiles Mercury, all before 7am. Personal magnetism is enhanced, and it may be difficult to hide from others. This will especially be true for Leo, Sagittarius and Libra. Public speaking, performance and the like are supported this morning. Even if you are sticking to your daily routine today, you may notice others responding to you more than is typical. It's a nice day for getting work done and feeling like your accomplishments are recognized. Pisces and Virgo may have to wait a day or two for their achievements to shine. The Sun squares Pluto today at 10:14am, which will exacerbate any power struggles in partnerships of any kind. Suspicion is heightened and jealousy could come up for some. Be clear and logical in your dealings with others. Mercury sextiles Saturn this evening, which is great for aiding in work and career, school and other structured environments. Promotions or scholarships are favored today. Tonight Mars opposes Neptune at 10:52pm, which lowers physical energy. If you haven't been taking time for yourself, you could be susceptible to minor illness or injury. This transit will make it a challenge to see the truth about particular business opportunities, so if possible hold off on making final decisions until tomorrow. Some information may be obscured.
Wednesday, October 7th - The moon sextiles the Sun this morning at 6am, which brings an overall sense of cheeriness and well-being. If you are unable to feel it, check in on your own transits to see how that may be affecting your current mood. This afternoon the Leo moon trines Uranus, which is wonderful for coming up with ideas on the cuff. Excitement is alive in the universe this evening. There is a lot of electric energy, which is easy to get swept up in. This energy lends itself well to creativity, science and possibly even alchemy! Consider trying something new tonight. There are no other major aspects today, which is ideal for feeling as though the universe hit a giant 'reset' button. Social activity and performance is encouraged and shined down upon tonight.
Thursday, October 8th - Mercury conjuncts the North Node at 9:21am, which will serve to both shake up and aid with the Mercury retrograde. The first effect of this transit will bring all retrograde issues to the forefront - communication failures, technology mishaps, etc. As the day progresses, it may be possible to navigate through these and gain some new sort of skill that allows for easier trouble shooting down the line. So while the day may start off in an annoying way for some, there is a good chance of feeling confident by evening. Venus enters Virgo at 1:28pm EST, which may see some getting more serious about their relationships, or particular pet creative projects. The next few weeks will put focus on deepening the concentration of a partnership or romance. In other words, what is your goal together? This will become clearer. If you are single, you may discover your own particular plan or goal, or the ideal type of romantic situation for yourself. The moon is void of course from 1:30pm EST until 3:51pm EST. This void is short and so will barely be noticeable. The moon will emerge into the sign of Virgo at 3:51pm and will promptly move into conjunction with Venus. This will only draw us closer into that idea of the relationship of our dreams. As I mentioned earlier, this whole theme can also be applied to projects that elicit passion in us. This evening the moon squares Saturn, which can bring up worries relating to responsibilities or tasks that we have put off. Handle them rather than continuing to procrastinate and you may find them to be less intimidating than you originally pictured.
