Monday, July 5th ~ We begin with the moon in Taurus, sextiling Neptune at 7:29am EST. Imagination expands and grounded creativity flourishes. Ideas take root in physical form. The moon trines Pluto at 12:56pm EST before moving void of course for most of the afternoon and evening. Having the freedom to move from one thing to the next is especially important today as the Sun and Uranus meet in sextile at 3:13pm EST. Getting cooped up or boxed in to a routine can feel somewhat limiting. Giving yourself space to flow and bloom yields lovely results. Venus and the North Node are in sextile today (perfect at 3:45pm EST) which suggests that partnership with others can help our souls to evolve and grow. Surround yourself with those who bring out the best in you. The moon enters Gemini tonight at 9:24pm EST. Dreams may be vivid and lucid tonight. Astral communication is increased. Tools such as mugwort tea and incense and blue kyanite can help arrange these dream travels.
Tuesday, July 6th ~ The moon is in Gemini all day today, increasing curiosity and spreading our focus far and wide. Mercury in Gemini and Neptune in Pisces meet in square at 3:37am EST, which puts our logical mind at odds with our spiritual experience. Something may happen today which defies clear explanation. This is only a problem if your brain fixates on labeling it. Allow it to be what it is and try to accept without judgement. Venus and Saturn are in opposition tonight at 10:35pm EST. Relationships that feel too demanding or cold become exaggerated in their expression. It may be time to reexamine friendships or connections that do not allow you to operate at your highest potential. The moon is quite busy today and tonight, forming a number of aspects. It's a good day for moving from one thing to the next, like a hummingbird flitting from one flower to another. This gives the spirit room to breathe, and creates a flurry of excitement and mind expansion, which the Gemini moon adores.
Wednesday, July 7th ~ The moon is in airy Gemini all day. We feel best during Gemini moons when we're learning new things and operating from a place of openhearted curiosity. The moon sextiles Mars at 5:47am EST, which kicks off the day with a fiery bang. You may very well feel motivated to tackle something that has been on your to-do list for a while. Venus and Chiron are in trine this afternoon at 4:08pm EST, which suggests that creativity brings healing. Allowing yourself the space to play and tap into your inner child can be especially freeing. We often think of creativity as something that is in the hands of a select few, but it is something we all have access to. All children are creative; it is only as we get older that we can start to analyze our creations and feel we are not talented or capable, and then we turn off this faucet of inspiration. Asteroid Juno is conjunct the South Node through Friday, which can increase memories related to motherhood, be it your own mother, when you became a mother, or mothers from past incarnations. This is all tied into the idea of creativity as well. A mother is the ultimate creator, as someone who is able to birth life. We can muse on this concept as a macro version of each individual creation we make.
Thursday, July 8th ~ The moon is in Gemini to start the day, turning void of course at 12:20am until it ingresses Cancer at 9:51am EST. The energy of the day is very sensitive as we ramp up to tomorrow's New Moon. You may feel tender hearted and easily moved. The heart space expands as the moon enters a trine with Jupiter at 1:09pm EST. Venus and Uranus meet in square at 3:24pm EST, which has a two pronged effect. Some will desire serious freedom from relationships and creative commitments, while others will feel a marked need to solidify these bonds even more. There is very little gray area here. You could end up on either side of this fork, or bounce back and forth from one to the other. Today is the final day of the Cancer moon cycle that began June 20th, 2020. Tomorrow we begin a new one year cycle of manifestation related to home, family, and memory. It can be helpful to look back to last June/July and think about what you were hoping to shed and release then. Has it been transformed?
Friday, July 9th ~ The moon is in Cancer all day, working toward the New Moon which perfects tonight at 9:16pm EST. As the moon and Sun enter into exact conjunction, a new macro moon cycle begins surrounding the archetype of Cancer. Today is the ideal time to set intentions around your home, family, and emotions. What would you like to transform? What are you hoping to remove, and what do you want to bring in to put in its place? For example, maybe you'd like to have a closer relationship with a member of your family, or maybe you want a group of friends that feel like family. Maybe you would like a new home that reflects your current sensibilities and desires. Maybe you'd like to open up your emotions more, or maybe you'd like to balance them out with more confidence. It can be helpful to write them down, or to light a candle and think about these desires while you stare at the flame. If you have access to a body of water, you can go to it today or tonight. If not, staring at the moon or the night sky can work just as well. Asteroid Sappho enters retrograde today, which connects us to feelings of nostalgia and pull to understand our past emotions. Poets and writers will especially benefit from this Sappho retrograde, which lasts until September 21st.
Saturday, July 10th ~ The moon is in Cancer to begin the day. The morning and afternoon have a more inward energy, where we could feel like holing up in our own little world. If you do venture out or socialize, dreamy contacts with those who encourage your imagination will be more beneficial than idle conversation. The moon is void of course from 12:11pm until it enters Leo tonight at 8:21pm EST. The void period serves as a kind of otherworldly portal, opening up our intuition and ability to sense that which lies beyond. Neptune sextiles asteroid Ceres through the weekend, which allows us to tap into the natural world and read the energy of plants and animals. The moon entering Leo strengthens our ties to animals and the space they occupy.
Sunday, July 11th ~ We have the moon in Leo all day, making a number of more social placements as it transits the sky. It's not the best day for doing work or trying to focus on things that don't bring joy. Playful energy abounds; the moon sextiles the North Node and opposes Saturn, making it a challenge to do anything which doesn't connect us with the higher spirit of the universe. Mercury enters Cancer this afternoon at 4:33pm EST, where it will be until July 27th. Mercury is soft and spongelike in Cancer. It seeks to learn through the emotions and through inference of feeling. Facts and figures are looser here and the intuition guides us through decision making. Communication is gentler and more conflict-avoidant. The next three weeks are great for poetic leanings, written word, and conspiring with the universe to understand your own spirituality. It's not a great time for hard and fast logic or confrontation. You may have more luck getting through to others by appealing to their emotions during this time.
