Monday, July 25th ~ The day kicks off with the Gemini moon trining Saturn at 12:26am EST, bringing in mental excitement and stimulation that becomes more honed and focused. It's an ideal day for getting lost in a train of thought and following it, letting your curiosity lead the way. Venus and Jupiter are in square, perfect at 2:13am EST but palpable throughout the entirety of the day. We can make grandiose plans for creative projects, perhaps biting off more than we can chew. We may also spread ourselves thin by overbooking friends and loved ones. Energy levels may be higher than normal, and impulsivity leads us to say we will do things we may not actually wish to do later. Be mindful of this and consider before responding. The moon squares Neptune at 4:14am and then moves void of course until 1:53pm EST when it enters Cancer. The void period produces a natural slipstream to get pulled into, caught up in the current of our interest. The Gemini moon's void always serves as a series of rabbit holes that suck us deeper and deeper into whatever piques our interest. As the moon enters its domicile of Cancer, we feel more centered in the heart. Emotions swell and we wish to be close in the comfort of a loved one.
Tuesday, July 26th ~ The moon is in water sign Cancer all day, amplifying emotion and connecting us with the ocean and tides. Being near a body of water today can provide deep healing. If you are unable to achieve this, consider listening to the sound of waves crashing to center yourself. The moon squares Jupiter at 7:35am and conjuncts Venus at 10:54am EST today. Again, we could find ourselves overextending time and energy for loved ones. People may make promises they are unable to fulfill today, or at least be more likely to overexaggerate how quickly they can have them completed. Mercury squares Mars at 3:13pm EST which produces some irritation and frustration. Snippiness is likely, particular for those with natal Mercury in cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn). The moon sextiles Mars at 7:57pm and squares Chiron at 11:11pm EST to close out the day's aspects. Exercise and movement provide release for built up tension, and healing comes through accepting who we were in the past. Running from past versions of the self will build up tension in the body and mind, and today we are reminded to embrace all forms of self in order to move forward into the person we are becoming.
Wednesday, July 27th ~ We have a second full day with the moon in its domicile of Cancer, the tidal pool of the zodiac. The moon sextiles Uranus at 3:36am and sextiles the North Node at 5:39am EST, initiating us into the next stage of our development. We feel restless and ready to move on to the next stage of our lives. Inspired action can lead us in a new direction today. Mercury trines Chiron at 12:55pm EST, an aspect we notice all day long. This allows for deep healing to come through open conversation and direct communion with others. We must be honest with self and others in order to release this building tension. The moon trines Neptune at 4:58pm and opposes Pluto at 8:54pm EST before moving void of course until tomorrow morning. Tonight's energy is soft and protective. We want to understand ourselves on a deeper level and may look to the past to receive intuitive answers about who we are. This could look like exploring family ancestry, doing a past life regression, or maybe even reminiscing about an old memory. The moon is now in its dark phase, bringing more internal reflection and inward musing than ever.
Thursday, July 28th ~ The moon is void of course until 2:35am EST when it enters Leo. We are moving toward the New Moon which perfects at 1:55pm EST. This New Moon in Leo ushers in a fresh macro moon cycle on the axis of creativity and the inner child. We are invited to shed heavy expectations around who we are and to let ourselves play. The lightness of this feeling sparks new creativity and brings along endless levels of inspiration. It is an ideal time to set goals related to creativity and artistry, and shed stagnation in these departments. Over the next six months, you will see these manifest and grow and come to fruition during the Leo Full Moon in Aquarius season. This New Moon is in the first decan of Leo, ruled by the Sun, bringing in extra solar energy and a boost of stamina for allowing you to achieve your goals with more ease. The day continues on with Jupiter stationing retrograde at 4:37pm EST at 8 degrees Aries. This retrograde lasts until November 23rd and sees the planet dipping back into Pisces for the last two months of the year. During Jupiter retrograde, many find it easier to break bad habits and end addictive cycles. It provides more reflection and the ability to enact willpower related to impulsive action. Mercury squares Uranus today as well at 5:15pm EST, which brings in fresh ideas. However, it may be difficult to translate them back down to Earth. You may encounter some people who say bizarre things today or who don't appear to be making perfect sense. The moon trines Jupiter at 8:03pm EST to finish out this active day. This is a positive aspect which creates a sense of well being and happiness, and brings a desire to express one's emotions in a healthy way.
Friday, July 29th ~ The moon is in fiery Leo all day, increasing our need to express ourselves and be demonstrative with our affections. Mercury enters a square with both Nodes of the moon at 12:58am EST; this is an extremely important aspect which sets up the weekend's energy. Sunday is one of the most potent astrological days of this year, and we can start to feel it build as Mercury enters this brief deadlock with the Nodes. Mercury represents the mind and its electric impulses, the way our brain fires to communicate ideas which are then implemented through our words and actions. The planet is frozen temporarily as it is confronted by Future (North Node) and Past (South Node). We could feel somewhat halted, or perhaps unable to differentiate between what came before and what comes next. We build toward Uranus's conjunction with the North Node on Sunday, which will likely result in impulsive action as a means of breaking out of this frozen zone. More on that later. The moon trines Chiron at 11:19am and squares Mars at 11:38am EST, which allows for us to experience healing through sharing frustrations with others. Physical movement and exercise is especially important today, and can help to alleviate the somewhat weird energy. The moon squares Uranus at 3:48pm and squares the Nodes of the moon at 4:39pm EST; this only exacerbates the previously mentioned transits and introduces an emotional investment to whatever is going on. The day closes with the moon conjunct Mercury in Leo at 7:48pm EST. The best way to handle everything is to be open about your feelings and communicate your process out loud. Tell people what you are planning to do, explain your thoughts and reactions, and move your body to ward off stress. Issues arise by lack of clear communication and by getting cramped up and not stretching, moving, growing.
Saturday, July 30th ~ Today is a simple reprieve between two astrologically loaded days. I recommend reading yesterday's forecast if you have not, and check out tomorrow's as well. This is maybe the most potent weekend of the entire year as far as interesting transits go. Today, however, we rest. The Leo moon opposes Saturn at 12:29am EST, meaning we will not have much energy to put toward tasks. You could feel some gnawing guilt about this, but the Leo moon just wants us to play. It is void of course from 12:30am until 2:10pm EST when it moves into Virgo. At this point, it becomes easier to focus and get organized, working on detailed things and slotting everything into place. The rest of the day is free from planetary aspects and allows us a break to breathe and prepare for tomorrow's cosmic explosion.
Sunday, July 31st ~ Here we are, finally having arrived at what many astrologers have considered the most potent day of 2022. I include myself in this, but I would add that this entire week has been extremely potent and has served to build us up to where we are today. I will do my best to break down all that is happening below. The moon is in Virgo, adding some grounding to an otherwise very ungrounded day. The first aspect comes at 2:05am EST as Mercury opposes Saturn. We seek to free ourselves from authority. We could feel rather rebellious, as though our thoughts are being oppressed from the inside out. Many will be reactive, mostly because of the other transits piling on top of this one. Venus and Chiron square at 10:04am EST, suggesting healing needs to take place in the realm of relationships. We could feel as though personal issues are being mirrored through those around us, and we could be easily triggered by others. Close friendship and relationships can serve as a balm for harshness, so try not to push people away today unless there is good reason. The biggest transit of the year comes at 4:04pm EST as Uranus enters into a conjunction with the North Node of the moon. The last time this happened was in March 2007, and before that November 1991. This aspect is a catalyst which brings with it enormous shifts that will impact humanity as well as touching us in our personal lives. Impulsive feelings and a desire to break out of tradition couple together to create radical, rebellious action. We may see some important announcement about technology this week, and there could be further division between the elder establishment and the revolting youth. On a smaller scale, we could feel it is time to break way from certain structures or people in our lives that are causing us to stagnate. The North Node sounds the karmic bell, and we all come to answer its call this week. See what you are compelled to do, what yearnings enter into your awareness. These are all quite important to your personal mission. The day continues on with the Sun trining Jupiter at 6:36pm and the moon sextiling Venus at 11:18pm EST. These final transits are positive and introduce generosity, charitability, and the spirit of sharing joy with others. I suggest interacting with the fire element in some way today. Light a candle and watch the flame, bask in the rays of the sun, or work with gemstones such as ruby, sunstone, and pyrite.
