Monday, December 26th ~ The moon is in Aquarius all day, adding an inventive and imaginative quality to the day's energy. We begin with the moon squaring Uranus at 2:34am EST; we may notice our emotions fluctuate a bit but we are able to view them from a somewhat unbiased perspective. This may seem more cool and clinical but can bring fresh insight. Technological delays could occur. The moon conjuncts Saturn at 1:19pm EST, bringing seriousness and focus to whatever we are working on. We may seek out additional responsibilities or find them falling in our laps. The moon is void of course from 1:20pm EST until tomorrow. Longer void periods during an Aquarian moon introduce more mental activity but less in the physical realm. Tuesday, December 27th ~ The moon's void ends at 2:33am EST as it slips into the sign of Pisces. In this domain of mutable water, emotions could be expanded and many of us are able to view things from a more compassionate, empathetic place. The moon enters its Waxing Crescent phase at 12:23pm EST and we are officially out of the Dark Moon period. This brings increased optimism and a desire to begin something new. Wednesday, December 28th ~ The moon is in Pisces all day, casting a dreamy, fantasy-tinged glow over the landscape. Venus sextiles Neptune today, exact at 3:31am EST but noticeable all day long. This only adds to the imaginative energy. We view things from a rosy, optimistic perspective and easily slip into dreams. Creativity knows no limits, but our inspiration is more gentle and abstract rather than focused and intense. This can be a favorable transit for romance but do know that it does bring the tendency to block out things we deem to be 'negative', so come at any interactions with intention and awareness. We could feel pulled toward a karmic transformation, wanting to release or shed some energy that is keeping us from evolving. Mercury stations retrograde at 4:31am EST. It will be retrograde until January 18th, and this entire retrograde takes place in the sign of Capricorn. This retrograde centers around themes of career and finances; we may notice misunderstandings happening in these realms. There is also a tendency to be corrected or you may experience a need to correct others. Those with Mercury in Aries, Cancer, and Libra will especially notice this to be true and will need to be sure they are being as intentional and clear as possible. The moon's void ends at 5:36am EST as it enters Aries. We could feel more fired up and impulsive after this point. The moon conjuncts Jupiter at 7:11am EST which amps up enthusiasm and curiosity. Mercury and Venus meet in conjunction at 8:58am EST. There could be an urge to communicate with someone you care about but the capacity for miscommunication is high. As long as both parties don't grow frustrated and keep putting in an effort, they can come out the others side feeling much closer to one another. Friday, December 30th ~ We have a full day with the moon in fiery, pioneering Aries, increasing adventurousness. We begin with the moon conjuncting Chiron at 2:56am EST, which brings a need to check in with the body and work to heal it on a physical level. It's a good day to stretch, take a nap, drink more water, and be kind to your physical vessel. There is only one more major transit happening today - the Moon sextiles Saturn at 9:52pm EST. This brings ambition and a desire to prove oneself as being the best. It's a good night to take action toward a longstanding goal.
Saturday, December 31st ~ Moon square Mercury 1:00am, Moon square Venus 5:58am, Moon square Pluto 7:43am, Moon void from 7:44am until enters Taurus 12:08pm. This last day of 2022 begins with the Aries moon in square to retrograde Mercury at 1:00am EST. This lends itself to people talking over each other or trying to prove their own correctness in conversation. The moon goes on to square Venus at 5:58am and then square Pluto at 7:43am EST which only exacerbates this tendency. Discussions with others could be pointless, and move in circles. Take a step back rather than trying to change someone's mind today. The moon is void of course from 7:44am until it enters Taurus at 12:08pm EST. This void period is good for either resting, going on a light walk or meandering drive, or playing a game. The Taurus moon carries us into 2023, bringing a need for sensual delights this New Year's Eve. You may wish to dress in soft and luxurious fabrics, enjoy a feast, or listen to some enchanting music. Sunday, January 1st ~ Happy New Year! The Solar new year kicks off with the moon in Taurus all day, giving a need for rest and relaxation. Venus conjuncts Pluto today, exact at 12:24am EST. We may desire our loved ones' full attention today and jealousy could certainly arise for some. We seek to transform through our relationships with others, and through our creativity. The moon enters its Waxing Gibbous phase at 8:42am EST. As it grows in fullness we may feel our enthusiasm building and could seek out adventure and excitement rather than getting stuck in a stagnant rut. This is a good, fresh energy for the New Year. The moon conjuncts the North Node at 10:24am and later conjuncts Uranus at 4:52pm EST. This brings a desire to push out of the comfort zone and begin initiating change on a larger scale. All of today's astrology lends itself well to new beginnings and transformations coming from a deep need to evolve and level up. This is a beautiful way to kick off the year.
