Monday, February 6th ~ Today begins with the Leo moon in opposition to Saturn at 9:15am EST before moving void of course for about seven hours. We feel compelled to work hard and dedicate ourselves to a project but could notice ourselves becoming distracted easily or moving from one train of thought to the next with seemingly no rhyme or reason. It can be helpful to practice grounding exercises, like squats or other stretches that connect us with the floor below. Being in nature or working with house plants can also bring peace to the mind today. During the moon's void period, Mercury meets Neptune in sextile at 1:26pm EST. This is an imaginative transit that blurs logic and instead casts our thoughts to all that is possible and lovely. It is a very poetic and artistic transit that appeals to our hearts instead of our heads. The moon's void ends at 4:14pm EST as it enters Virgo. We are still technically in the Bright Moon phase, coming off of yesterday's Full Moon in Leo. The Virgo moon brings a sense of order and efficiency, which can help give us a boost of ambition to finish whatever scattered projects we left in our wakes today.
Tuesday, February 7th ~ We have the moon in earthy, intelligent Virgo today, providing energy to the mental sector. It becomes easier to work out small details while the moon is in this placement. The moon trines its North Node at 6:56am EST, this trine brings a sense of accomplishment and readiness to improve the emotional state. The moon squares Mars later on at 4:05pm EST which can amplify frustrations, particularly if we feel someone is trying to correct us. We may also experience a strong urge to correct someone else. The moon opposes Venus at 10:01pm and trines Uranus at 10:16pm EST. These aspects make it easier to do things on our own, as we are able to work at our own pace. We may be anxious as we try to keep up with others, or could feel as though they are slowing us down.
Wednesday, February 8th ~ The moon is in Virgo for another full day, helping us to organize our emotions and inner world. Venus sextiles Uranus today at 12:28am EST, though we feel the effects of this aspect all day long. This is a pleasant aspect which brings surprises in relationships and can inject a sense of fun and whimsy into them. It breaks up places of stagnancy in our connections with others, and can also assist with creative blocks. The muse is alive and well today. The moon opposes Neptune at 3:40pm EST which can make it easy to go off of assumptions rather than facts. Double check things before you create a whole scenario in your head off of one unreturned text or the like. The moon trines Mercury at 9:29pm EST to close out the day, which assists with open communication and increased mental rapport between colleagues and friends.
Thursday, February 9th ~ Today starts off with the Virgo moon in trine to Pluto at 1:40am EST. This gives an intensity and allows us to hone our focus and look at whatever we are working on with a magnified lens. The moon is void from 1:41am until 3:46am EST when it moves into Libra. There is always more of a collaborative energy when the moon is in Libra. We can enjoy teamwork, social activity, or bouncing ideas off of others more during this time. The moon opposes Jupiter later on at 7:02pm EST, bringing a larger than life approach to the evening. We may feel buoyant and a bit rambunctious, wanting to jump into things with an adventurous spirit. It's a good night for socializing, exercise, or trying something new.
Friday, February 10th ~ The moon is in airy, effervescent Libra all day, adding a need for balance and emotional serenity. Extremes in feeling are especially uncomfortable during a Libra moon. The moon trines Mars at 4:24am EST which is excellent for team sports and getting the body moving with others. The moon opposes Chiron at 5:04am EST which allows for mediation to take place, smoothing over problems within groups or pairs. Mercury conjuncts Pluto at 12:15pm EST; today is the last day Mercury is in Capricorn. This is an auspicious day for career related conversations and planning, as Capricorn rules over the workplace and the Mercury/Pluto conjunction allows for open communication and increased readiness to transform circumstances into something better. Later, the moon enters its Waning Gibbous phase at 10:38pm EST. This is a reflective time; it can be helpful to make a list or meditate on things you are grateful for today or over the next 2-3 days.
Saturday, February 11th ~ Today begins with Mercury moving into Aquarius at 6:22am EST. This transit is quite noticeable as Mercury has been in Capricorn since December 6th. Mercury spends about 3 weeks in a sign on average, so this is about 2.5 times the length of the average Mercury transit due to the retrograde that took place in December-January. We notice the shift immediately. Mercury in Aquarius brings a boost to technology and allows us to think in a big picture way. We are able to see the whole landscape of a situation and gain clarity. It will be here in this sign until March 2nd, bringing humanitarian energy and unique ideas. The Libra moon trines Saturn at 8:07am and then squares Pluto at 11:41am EST. There could be some resistance to change today, but working with others and delegating tasks can be helpful and allow for shifts to happen. The moon is void of course from 11:42am EST for about two hours. During this time, Mars sextiles Chiron at 1:02pm EST. This is a big transit that we feel throughout the whole weekend. This allows for great healing to take place in the physical body. We can work through self-consciousness around our bodies with more ease during this time. Injuries or illnesses can be understood on a deeper level and met with compassion and care. The moon's void period ends at 1:34pm EST as it moves into Scorpio. Soon after, it squares Mercury at 2:26pm EST. We may feel somewhat tongue tied as a result and could prefer to keep our thoughts and feelings private. We may need to sit with things for longer before feeling ready to talk about them as the day progresses. The rest of the day is free from aspects, and the Scorpio moon brings a deep, spiritual energy to this time.
Sunday, February 12th ~ The moon is in passionate, private Scorpio all day, increasing our need for time alone to recuperate and also for powerful, honest conversations that skip over all small talk. The moon conjuncts its South Node at 2:32am EST, the closest point to Earth on its monthly orbit. This unites us with our past: memories, nostalgia, and even past lives. We could feel more sentimental and seek out comfort from familiar people, places, and objects. The moon opposes Uranus at 5:42pm EST which again makes us cling to our comfort zone. We can feel somewhat emotional tonight, especially when it comes to change. Try to be kind to yourself and take things one step at a time. It's not the best day to rush into anything new, but rather to ease yourself into it.
