Monday, June 5th ~ The moon enters Capricorn at 3:30am EST to begin the day's planetary movements. The moon in Capricorn is grounded and steady, and we tend to have fewer emotional ups and downs but maintain our state consistently. The moon trines its North Node at 9:05am EST, aligning us to ambitions and goals and helping us feel progress is underway. Venus enters Leo at 9:46am EST, where it will be until October 3rd! This is a very long time for Venus to spend in a single sign, and this is because Venus will be going retrograde here from July through September. Venus in Leo is loyal, proud, and bold. We may be more inclined to express our creativity in big ways, and dress to impress. There is a desire to shower our loved ones with attention, praise, and gifts, and we may expect this to be returned to us (or at the very least, met with gratitude). Those with natal Venus in fire signs Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius, and in air signs Gemini and Libra will especially enjoy this time and find it inspiring and compelling when it comes to love and creativity. Venus goes on to trine Jupiter at 10:43am EST, allowing for inspiration to come through the beauty all around us. We could feel more open-hearted and giving under this aspect. Venus later opposes Pluto at 12:04pm EST, which can amplify jealousy in relationships. We may feel an urge to exert our power and control over others. Check your intentions and try not to assign others the responsibility of your insecurity. It is always okay to take a step back, and hold off on communication until your mind is clearer. The moon sextiles Saturn at 3:11pm EST to close out the day's major transits. This is a focused aspect which lets us dig into work and responsibility with more vigor.
Tuesday, June 6th ~ The moon is in ambitious, cool Capricorn all day. We enjoy grounding in and spending time in nature. The moon squares Chiron at 10:46am EST suggesting we may need to release emotionally, but could feel somewhat guarded or afraid to be vulnerable. Later, the moon trines Uranus at 1:10pm EST. Breaking out of our routine and trying a new way of doing something proves to be quite effective. Later, the moon trines Mercury at 5:33pm EST. Communication is positively impacted here, and we may find progress comes in work or financial matters. It is easier to look at situations from a logical standpoint during this time.
Wednesday, June 7th ~ The moon is very active today, beginning in the sign of Capricorn and making a sextile to Neptune at 12:39am EST. This transit enhances the imagination and brings us closer to spiritual realms. The moon is void of course from 12:40am until it enters Aquarius at 4:41am EST. We need more freedom when the moon is in Aquarius, and can become resentful of restrictions placed on us. The moon conjuncts Pluto at 4:47am and opposes Venus at 7:38am EST. These transits are intense, and put emphasis on independence and breaking free from the need to compromise. You may have to stand up for yourself today or take steps to ensure your ability to do things your own way. The moon squares both of its Nodes at 9:53am EST and squares Jupiter at 12:34pm EST. There is some hesitation in decision making today, but also a touch of recklessness and wanting to prove ourselves. It's not the most ideal day to make any big changes or choices. Finally, the moon opposes Mars at 10:10pm EST to close out the day. Frustrations mount that can create tension in the body if not released or expressed. Journaling, working out, or doing anything physical to move this coiled up energy is helpful in dismantling it.
Thursday, June 8th ~ We have the moon in airy, utopian Aquarius all day. It reaches its Waning Gibbous phase at 9:29am EST. The next couple of days are ideal for reflecting on themes of gratitude, appreciation, and what is going well in our lives. Even if things are not as you want them at the moment, focusing on what makes you happy can bring expanded peace and contentment during this moon phase. The moon sextiles Chiron at 12:08pm and squares Uranus at 2:37pm EST. We can feel somewhat scattered in our expression today, but we should try to ride this out and not attempt to box ourselves in. Healing comes through letting things flow. Venus squares both nodes of the moon at 4:37pm EST, a potent transit that can leave us feeling somewhat frozen in the relationship department. There is some pull between past and future, and likely someone that will need to be left behind. This may be a friend, lover, or acquaintance on your path who is holding you back. There is some fear around the future coming up, and worry that things may not unfold in the way we hope. Some may be experiencing creative block. Don't put undue pressure on yourself; it's okay to not know and to not have all the answers. Things will soften and open up if we allow them to just be.
Friday, June 9th ~ Today begins with the Aquarius moon squaring Mercury at 12:23am EST. We start the day very much in our own worlds, in a little bubble of our own making. This feels mostly positive but intrusions to this comfortable space can be quite frustrating. The moon is void of course from 12:24am until it ingresses Pisces at 6:14am EST. Pisces is equally dreamy and imaginative, but with more of an emotional energy. The moon sextiles the North Node at 11:20am and sextiles Jupiter at 3:01pm EST. These transits are favorable for giving us a "lucky feeling" that guides us and connects us to our intuition. Mercury sextiles Neptune at 5:14pm EST which amplifies that gut feeling and can bring in channeled ideas and inspiration. This is great for artists, writers, and anyone seeking to get creative. We can pick up on others' thoughts almost telepathically today. The moon conjuncts Saturn at 6:15pm EST to close out the day's aspects. While this allows for focus on responsibilities and duties, we may feel somewhat alone in our feelings and have a difficult time conveying them to others until tomorrow.
Saturday, June 10th ~ The moon is in gentle, intuitive Pisces all day, amplifying our sensitivity to energy and the emotions of others. The Sun sextiles Saturn at 3:06am EST, a transit we feel all day. This is a powerful aspect that helps to bring success and productive progress. We may feel more confident and can channel "boss" energy as we navigate the world today. The moon enters its Last Quarter phase at 3:31pm EST. With both the Sun and Moon in mutable signs, we are more aware of endings and dissolution today. We seek out ways to remove old energy and shed it entirely. The moon sextiles Uranus at 5:20pm EST, which allows for surprises to come through the intuitive faculties. We may experience dreams, visions, or sudden insights that bring a sense of oneness with something bigger than ourselves.
Sunday, June 11th ~ Today is an active day celestially, with a few interesting transits occurring. The day begins with the Pisces moon conjuncting Neptune at 5:09am EST, bringing a strong need to dissolve boundaries. We wish to be close to others and may notice our hearts feel bigger and more open. We could be more emotionally sensitive and also pick up on subtleties in energy. Soon after, Pluto (which is currently retrograde) re-enters the sign of Capricorn at 5:45am EST. We only got a month and a half taste of Pluto in Aquarius, and so we return to finish out the karmic lessons of Pluto in Capricorn which will continue to unfold off an on through 2023-2024. Pluto will be here in Capricorn until January, and then will return to Capricorn once again in later 2024. Here, we work through some of the shadow around wealth inequality, capitalism, and traditional power structures. The next 2 years will see some intense themes in this realm arising, as these older regimes throw out last gasps of control against a younger generation that is more interested in freedom and radical acceptance. This will oscillate between now and November 2024, with both sides attempting to dethrone the other. More on that in this week's video, which you can view on my page. Mercury trines Pluto at 6:26am and then immediately enters the sign of Gemini, which it rules over. This quick trine gives us a burst of detective's intuition, allowing us to see under the surface of a situation to its truth. Mercury was previously in Taurus for quite some time during its retrograde, so this change to a new sign brings fresh insights, and a quick and witty mind. Communication flows easily and freely in this sign, and while there can be less focus, there is also less stubbornness in sharing ideas and knowledge openly. Mercury is here until June 26th, a very brief and zippy transit. The moon sextiles Pluto at 9:20am EST and then immediately enters Aries. This is notable because there is no void of course period between signs, which is exceptionally rare. Because of this, we may feel like we are thrown into things today and have little time to process or reflect. The moon sextiles Mercury at 9:43am EST which allows us to communicate emotions in an effective way. Next, Venus squares Jupiter at 11:39am EST, which can cause us to be exceptionally lavish in the way we show our love to others. Be mindful of overspending. Finally, the moon trines Venus later at 7:40pm EST which allows us to express love and creative ideas in a more harmonious way.
