May 13 - 19

Monday, May 13th ~ On Monday, May 13th, the Sun enters into a conjunction with Uranus at 5:13am EST. This rebellious aspect encourages us to differentiate ourselves and find our unique niche in the world. Some may celebrate their own talents and individualism, while others might rebel against expectations or seek to shock. Conjunctions are strong but neutral aspects, so how this energy is used depends on the individual. We will feel the effects of the Sun/Uranus conjunction all day. . Later in the day, Venus sextiles Saturn at 3:45pm EST. This transit aids in taking responsibility in relationships and eases the pursuit of goals with loved ones. It is an "acts of service" transit, helping us step up and support others with tasks. It might not be particularly warm and fuzzy, but it can help build security, which in turn allows for more comfort and love to flow. This transit can also assist in buckling down on creative goals and forming a plan.

Wednesday, May 15th ~ On Wednesday, May 15th, Mercury ingresses into Taurus at 1:05pm EST. This marks a significant shift, as Mercury has been in Aries since March 9th, typically only spending around 2-3 weeks in a sign. The retrograde in April caused it to linger longer in the sign of cardinal fire. Mercury in Taurus will serve as a refresh and reset for our mental processes, allowing us to slow down and think things over. We are advised to sit with decisions for a while rather than rushing. It can be helpful to feel into our bodies during decision-making or while communicating. Taurus is an embodied sign that relies heavily on the five physical senses. Notice any discomfort; it can aid in decision-making or in understanding our true feelings. This is especially true during Mercury's transit of Taurus, which lasts until June 3rd. . Tomorrow, May 16th, is particularly interesting because there are NO transits occurring! This rarity provides a little break from cosmic interference, giving us a chance to better notice the nuances in our own personal transits.

Friday, May 17th ~ On Friday, May 17th, Mercury enters into a square with Pluto at 3:43am EST, an aspect we feel all day. This transit can introduce tension into our thoughts. We may become very stubborn, especially if we feel someone is trying to influence our thinking or dictate our actions. We strive to differentiate ourselves and overcome adversity but could worsen problems by being too inflexible. Also, be wary of any tendencies to unduly influence others to sway their thinking. Allowing others the space to reach their own conclusions yields the best results.

Saturday, May 18th ~ On Saturday, May 18th, Venus and Uranus meet in a conjunction in the sign of Taurus at 7:40am EST. This transit influences the day's energy, introducing changes in relationships, love, and finances. Stagnancy clears away, and we may experience sudden sparks in creative endeavors. Relationships gain an exciting quality but could feel unstable at times. Change rolls in this weekend, affecting many. Some may feel compelled to significantly alter their appearance or to take a gamble with finances. . Later, the Sun conjuncts Jupiter in Taurus at 2:45pm EST. This is a positive and uplifting transit that enhances optimism and makes it easier to see the bright side. It creates opportunities and fosters a sense of generosity, encouraging us to be more charitable with our time and resources.

Sunday, May 19th ~On Sunday, May 19th, two major transits occur. The first, at 6:45pm EST, is the Sun in sextile to Neptune. This aspect enhances imagination and intuition, connecting us with the subtle vibrations of life. We might feel a higher purpose, like we fit into the cosmos at large. Some may use this transit to connect empathically with others, allowing for greater understanding and a broader outpouring of love. . Later, Mars conjuncts the North Node at 11:58pm EST. This transit has been building over the last few days and will continue to be felt through midweek. We may feel energized and as though an opportunity is opening up for us. This likely requires a significant risk and a leap of faith on our part. This is a time to build up your courage and confidence, and find out what it is YOU really want, outside of the influence of others.
