June 17 - 23

EARLY WEEK

Monday is a very active day in the cosmos, filled with soft, Venusian energy. At 2:20am EST, Venus enters Cancer, where it will remain until July 11th. In Cancer, Venus is warm and gentle, favoring romance and close connections with loved ones. We seek ways to nurture others and benefit from spending time with partners, close friends, or family members. However, if we're alone or not receiving affection from those we love, we might feel increased resentment.

At 3:40am on Monday, Mercury and Neptune form a square, with both planets at 29 degrees of Gemini and Pisces, respectively. This can cause mental confusion and brain fog, making us treat illusions as reality. This fog lifts significantly when Mercury moves into Cancer at 5:06am, where it will stay until July 2nd. Mercury in Cancer is intuitive, gentle, and nostalgic, encouraging us to be mindful of our tone and kind in our interactions, as others may be more sensitive during this time. Memories of the past may arise more frequently, grounding us in the present and offering valuable lessons.

Later, at 8:42am, Mercury and Venus, both newly in Cancer, form a conjunction. This aspect sparks both mental and heart-based connections, making it easier to share thoughts and feelings. We may find ourselves falling for someone quickly or feeling more compassion for others.

The moon is in Scorpio on Monday and Tuesday, waxing toward a full moon later in the week. Scorpio moons can make us more protective of our emotions, seeking deep and intimate connections. Our intuition and connection to dreams and the subconscious may be more acute.

LATE WEEK

Happy Cancer Season! On Thursday, the Sun is at the 29th degree of Gemini, creating a sense of anticipation and nervous energy. The Sun squares Neptune at 2:12pm EST, leading to confusion and a disorienting energy. Be extra kind and patient with others on Thursday. Much of this intensity dissipates as the Sun enters Cancer at 4:50pm, marking the beginning of Cancer season, which lasts until July 22nd. Cancer, a cardinal water sign, kicks off a season and begins on a Solstice. The Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere (and Winter Solstice in the Southern) begins as the Sun enters Cancer, believed to be a magical gateway when nature comes alive, and we can more easily connect with nature spirits and Earth's energy. Cancer is intuitive, protective, and loyal, looking out for loved ones with great intensity. However, they may struggle to protect themselves with the same fervor. Cancer feels moon phases more deeply than other signs, being emotional, aware of subtle vibrations, and empathic. They are nostalgic, tied to the past, memory, and feeling, and often act as the zodiac's memory keepers, expressing their poetic nature to preserve cherished memories.

On Wednesday and Thursday, the moon is in Sagittarius, waxing toward a full moon on Friday. The Sagittarius moon is playful, adventurous, and favors improvisation over careful planning, approaching life with curiosity, philosophy, and spirituality.

WEEKEND

On Friday, Mercury forms a sextile with Mars at 12:22pm EST. With Mercury newly in Cancer and Mars in Taurus, this harmonic contact injects enthusiasm and energy into communication and thinking, aiding in brainstorming, quick wit, and on-the-fly decision-making. Later, the Full Strawberry Moon in Capricorn perfects at 9:07pm, with the Sun at 1 degree Cancer and the moon at 1 degree Capricorn. This Full Moon may highlight issues between following our ambitions and goals versus staying in our comfort zone or pleasing others. We might need to make a "head versus heart" decision. The Full Moon squares Neptune, making us overly sensitive or concerned about others' opinions. Those with Sun or Moon in Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn will especially feel this. Balance is crucial; find ways to make yourself happy while minimizing hurt by communicating and explaining your desires to ease interpersonal tensions.

On Saturday, Mercury squares the Nodes of the Moon at 9:12pm. This can make us feel like our timing is off, missing opportunities or perfect responses. We might feel alienated or unsure how to communicate our unique vision. Be patient; timing will align, and there's no rush.

The moon is in Capricorn all weekend, providing a steady, grounding, and patient energy that supports planning, building foundations, and emotional stability.
