Weekly Forecast: 1/30/15 through 2/5/15

Friday, January 30th - Communication is highlighted today, but it is still not a time to host any important discussions or make any decisions that could alter your life significantly. The moon is void of course beginning at 4:25am. The void period lies between the last major aspect formed by the moon and the time the moon moves into the next astrological sign. The moon will be void for 22 hours on this particular day. There is a major positive to void periods... without any aspects forming, we have an opportunity to get in touch with what is true and real within ourselves. The Sun conjuncts Mercury today which helps us get a boost in communion, connection and conversation. A Mars sextile Pluto aspect can create intense moments between friends and colleagues. Competition is highlighted, but it is likely to be friendly provided the parties aren't trying to take themselves so seriously. Aquarius and Sagittarius might have trouble keeping things light, as they are in the pull of a Venus square Saturn aspect that is occurring. What are you trying to possess? This aspect is good for showing us where our attachments lie. Knowing what you are overly tied to is beneficial, as it provides an impetus to let go. Objects, things and relationships can enrich our lives, but when we feel as though we need them for completion we are selling both ourselves and the other party short.

Saturday, January 31st - The moon moves out of its void period early on (2:09am EST) and enters the warm, domestic sign of Cancer. Several hours later it quincunxes Saturn, which will make it a challenge to stay focused or get work done. It is a better day for quiet times and enjoying yourself with friends and family at home. The Moon trines both Venus and Neptune this afternoon, which will create warm feelings and help assist in creativity, spirituality and beautifying. Mars conjuncts Chiron at 3:23pm, which will highlight healing and health as an overall concept. We are reaching the time of the year where many people get seasonal colds or flus. The energy today is good for rest, recuperation and giving your body what it needs. It is not the best day for discussion or business... Moon quincunx Mercury later in the day (on top of the Mercury retrograde) will not make it easy to communicate unless it is about personal or creative concepts.

Sunday, February 1st - Today's energy is intense and transformational. A Grand Cross forms today between the Moon and Pluto and Uranus and the North Node. A few minutes after midnight the Sun moves into a trine with the North Node of the Moon. This is a wonderful aspect and can bring karmic rewards into your life. You will get back what you have been giving out, which can either feel good or bad depending on outlook. The Moon quincunxes the Sun around this time, which can create an emotional feeling regarding the type of image we put out into the world. These two aspects together will make us examine our affect on those around us. Use this time to reflect on what you wish to offer the world and those in your life. The Grand Cross may make you feel as though you wish to make a change, but aren't sure what. Sometimes people take spontaneous trips under this influence. Aries and Cancer could feel the need to travel right now, especially. This aspect has been building all week and so you may have noticed that many individuals have been restless lately. The Moon trines Chiron and Mars today, which will help give physical stamina and emotional security. This will be quite helpful given the intensity of some aspects we've been dealing with. The moon moves void of course at 8:37am EST. Plan a trip, but don't decide to pick up and move residences completely on a day like today. Venus joins Neptune in conjunction this afternoon. Creativity abounds.

Monday, February 2nd - My apologies for not getting this up in time. We were hit with a snowstorm in the NE and it threw me off a little. It's still good to look at this day and its aspects to see how it can impact the rest of the week. The moon exited its void and moved into the sign of Leo at 12:41pm EST. There were surprisingly few new aspects formed on this day. The only other major planetary contacts were Sun sextile Uranus in the morning and Moon trine Saturn in the evening. A Leo moon makes us want to create, appreciate and be seen. Sun sextile Uranus could make unusual meetings occur, or hit us with fresh and interesting ways to approach old problems. Moon trine Saturn is good for getting your emotions in check and allowing yourself to tie up loose ends without getting in your own way.

Tuesday, February 3rd - The moon is intensely active today! It forms TEN aspects with other luminaries and planets today. There is a full moon this evening, occurring at around 5pm EST. The astrological transit that signifies a full moon is a Moon opposition Sun contact (Moon conjunct Sun would be a new moon). The moon represents our inner selves and the sun what we show the world. An opposition between the two causes us to oscillate between these two selves at a rapid pace. This is why full moons get the reputation for being a time for "loony" behavior. I won't get into every single aspect formed today but there are a number of Moon quincunxes. These create a feeling of unease, or of not being able to fully understand or relate to what's going on. The full moon is a time of culminations, of finally manifesting the things you've been waiting for over the past lunar cycle. Feeling uneasy about what might come your way is natural. It doesn't really matter if you second guess yourself now... the wheel is already in motion and the harvest will be collected. Moon conjunct Jupiter this evening will bring about a feeling of emotional expansion. There could be a lot of luck on your side, particularly for Leos (which is where the conjunction occurs) and fellow fire signs Aries and Sagittarius. The moon moves void of course tonight, which will give us a break from all the shifting aspects and accompanying mood swings that could occur earlier in the day.

Wednesday, February 4th - Today is VERY quiet on the astrological front. The moon is void of course all day long, which gives us a rest from last night's full moon madness. Mars quincunxes Jupiter early this morning, which could intensify urges to travel and see new sights, both physically and mentally. A Leo void of course moon is a perfect time to work on creative projects, go out on the town, or socialize with a few of your favorite people. The downside is that we may expect attention or recognition but not receive it, or feel as though we are not receiving enough. The key for today is to just enjoy the process of whatever it is you are doing. Don't focus too much on the end results.

Thursday, February 5th - The moon exits its void at 12:46am EST and moves into the sign of Virgo. Virgo moons are serious and refined. Any day when the moon is in Virgo is ideal for working alone, fine-tuning details in any regard, and quiet meditation. Mercury sextiles Saturn this morning which gives us a boost in communication, particularly related to career and jobs. Something that was held back for the past couple of weeks thanks to the retrograde could finally come through today. Perhaps this arrives in the form of good news, or hearing back from someone you have been waiting on. Emotions might be a bit rocky (Venus quincunx NN could create issues in romance), but luckily the Virgo moon is very no-nonsense and doesn't get bogged down by emotional displays. This will help float us through these aspects without too much fuss. Moon opposition Neptune this afternoon will make us want to run away from responsibilities, but again the Virgo moon keeps us in check. Today is a perfect example of checks and balances. You could stop and start a few times today, but in the end the planets are working together and will help you accomplish what you need to.

Thank you! AW
