Friday, January 23rd - Today is filled with near misses and strange mysteries. The Pisces moon makes everyone feel a little more sensitive, and today this effect is heightened by the moon moving void of course at 6:13am, where it will stay until tomorrow morning. This creates a bit of a disconnect in the realms of security and emotional connection. Coupled with some uncomfortable aspects (Moon quincunx North Node, Moon sextile Pluto, Moon conjunct Chiron, Moon quincunx Jupiter) there will be a real need to get to the bottom of what others are saying but no context to work with. This is mostly due to Mercury retrograde, but today's aspects offer no real help. A Sun sextile Saturn aspect early this morning will give you focus and concentration, which should be channeled in a way that is beneficial to all parties. Don't jump to conclusions, and realize any out of the ordinary feelings might be covered in a hazy cloud of smoke, not rooted in reality or anything permanent.
Saturday, January 24th - The moon exits its void at 8:32am EST, when it moves into the sign of Aries. Aries is the first sign in the zodiac, and so Aries moons are good for resetting emotions and for beginning anew in many ways. Today's energy is positive and full of pioneering spirit, and numerous ways in which we can channel it through action. A Moon trine Saturn aspect around noon will give clarity and focus, and will offer a bit of a serious mind frame to accomplish tasks at hand. The Moon sextile Sun aspect at around 4pm will unite emotions and external circumstances. Where yesterday's astrology tried to connect but failed, today could possibly mend any rifts formed during Friday's foggy daze. The rest of the day is free of any new major aspects, and so the Aries moon will be in the spotlight. It's a good day for an adventure - even a quiet one.
Sunday, January 25th - Today is split into almost two distinct energetic patterns. The first is rather intense and volatile. This morning, the moon plays with the planets in a dangerous and taunting way. Moon opposition North Node, Moon conjunct Uranus and Moon square Pluto are all rather heavy transits. They are full of energy and action, but the action is not always what we planned. Anytime Uranus is involved, there is a catalyst for change and for direct interference with long term plans. Often this can be very positive, but for those who hold tightly to specific outcomes, it can be uncomfortable. The afternoon and evening have a lighter feeling, which comes in the form of Moon sextile Mercury and Moon trine Jupiter. This will give a boost in communication (much needed during the Mercury retrograde) and a feeling of emotional well being. It is likely that you will notice this arc throughout the day in a way that makes sense in your world... it could start off on a chaotic note but work its way into a day that is full of connections and possibilities.
Monday, January 26th - Today the moon enters the sign of Taurus at 9:26am EST. As the moon comes out of its void of course period, you may notice a sudden influx of focus and inspiration. The moon sextiles Venus this morning and gives an appreciation for creativity and beauty. Creative work will come naturally today. It's a good idea to give your full attention to a project. This evening there may be a bit of concern that comes in the form of Moon square Sun and Moon quincunx Saturn. This is a fleeting influence but if you are ungrounded today you will notice it even more. It could bring emotional upsets or feelings of inadequacy. Stay centered; drop into your roots. The Moon in sextile with Neptune at 11pm EST tonight will wash away these feelings and bathe everything in spiritual light. Dreams could be quite lucid this evening.
Tuesday, January 27th - The energy today is sensitive and unbalanced. Try your best to not get carried away into the clouds. Feel your feet beneath you, or carry a grounding stone like black tourmaline, hematite or petrified wood. Venus enters the sign of Pisces this morning, which helps us see the positive in others. It can also make us overly sensitive and 'out there'. Libras especially may feel like they are floating in space today. The Moon makes a number of contacts with other luminaries and planets today that create a sense of uneven footing. This doesn't mean it will be a bad day... the energy is highly creative and spiritual, but not at all grounded in reality. You may have a hard time accomplishing much in the material world today. Just let go and enjoy yourself and see where the energy carries you. The Moon moves void of course tonight at 9:19 pm EST. Again, this is not an ideal day to make big changes.
Wednesday, January 28th - Today the Mercury retrograde will be highlighted. Focus on intention. Mercury sextiles Uranus early this morning, which opens up conversations into 'big picture' ideas, but can also create clashes between those who disagree. Mercury trines the North Node this afternoon, which will give us opportunities to mend any hurts that have come up due to saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. There could be a real drive to fix relationship issues, but keep in mind that we are still under the effects of the retrograde AND the void of course moon. Wait until after 5:30pm when the moon moves out of its void into the sign of Gemini. Gemini is a good moon for discussion, and for being social with others. Tonight the Moon squares Venus, which may create a need for security in both creative endeavors and personal relationships. Be clear with others and make sure you say what you mean and not what you think the other person wants to hear. This strategy will work well today in keeping the peace, while at the same time promoting honesty.
Thursday, January 29th - The big news for this day is that there is a Grand Trine forming at around 3pm EST between Mercury, the Moon and the North Node. This energy is very powerful and will help bring both emotions and friendships into harmony. You may receive interesting news or hear from someone you haven't run into for some time. Air signs in particular will benefit from this trine - Aquarius, Libra and Gemini. The Moon trines the Sun in the afternoon as well, and sextiles Uranus. Wacky and off the wall is a good phrase to describe the kind of conversations you might have today. The North Node is triggered so there will be a deepness to anything experienced, but it will not at all be heavy. There is a good opportunity for bonding with others in an unusual way. Tempers may be triggered tonight as the Moon squares Mars and Chiron, but there will also be a great impetus to make change and overcome any squabbles. All emotions will be moved through quickly thanks to the influence of fast-moving Mars.
