Friday, January 16th - Early this morning the moon exits its void of course period and enters the sign of Sagittarius. The last couple of Sagittarius moons have fallen on the weekend, and this is a perfect placement for such a period. An adventurous spirit and a fun loving, inquisitive mind are highlighted under this moon. During a waning Sagittarius moon, there might be a tendency to philosophize and learn independently as opposed to a waxing time when it is easier to be social. The moon conjuncts Saturn around 7am, and this will give most a bit of focus to finish some work so that they can enjoy the rest of the day. We have two more aspects in the late morning: Moon square Mars at 9am and Moon square Neptune around noon. Tempers might flare up and others might expect more than is rational or reasonable. Sagittarius will keep this moon from getting TOO intense, however. The rest of the day is fairly clear and so you will be able to feel that last quarter archer moon energy. It is a luminous, vital energy... tune in and turn on.
Saturday, January 17th - A number of Moon contacts make up the day (and the whole weekend, practically). We start things off with Moon trine Uranus. The fiery connection of a Sagittarius moon and Uranus in Aries will kick start your day with electricity and sparks. It's a good day for a dose of the bizarre. In fact, this whole week is great for coming up with unique ideas and off the wall schemes. A host of other pleasant aspects are coming your way today: Moon sextile North Node at 3am (finding your way and purpose, feeling connected), Moon sextile Mercury at 6am (feeling at harmony with your emotions and able to share feelings with others), Moon sextile Venus at 9am (feeling as though you are part of the universe, inspired and creative, and close to those you love), and Moon trine Jupiter at 2pm (expansive emotion and ideas). The only slightly unpleasant aspect is a Moon square Chiron contact, which can bring up old wounds and a resistance to repairing them. The moon moves void of course at 2:26p, where it will stay until tomorrow evening. As with all void periods, don't make important emotional decisions during this time.
Sunday, January 18th - Today there is laser focus and energy coming in from all directions. Moon sextile Mars around 2pm will give you a boost of afternoon fuel to power through the day. Physical vitality is heightened. Moon sextile Neptune at 4pm will jump start spirituality and creative vision. This evening the void of course moon comes to a close at 7:04pm, when it moves into the sign of Capricorn. Things can get done tonight if you should choose to work on them. Earth signs will have an easy time accomplishing whatever they put their minds to.
Monday, January 19th - My apologies for getting today's horoscope up so late! The Capricorn moon has been very active from the get-go today. We face a Moon/Uranus square, a Moon/Pluto conjunction, a Moon/North Node square, a Moon/Jupiter quincunx and a Moon/Chiron sextile to start off the day. These are all pretty murky aspects, heavy and plodding in their temperament. Colored by the seriousness of a Capricorn moon, it could be the type of day where you can easily get down on yourself and your abilities. Capricorn, Aries, Libra, Pisces and Leo will feel this the most today. Moods are up for fluctuation and everything could take on a sort of somber intensity. Venus opposes Jupiter today as well, which creates an obsession with love and beauty and wanting to expand into these concepts, but ultimately feeling limited. Keep in mind that these are in fact just feelings, and they have no basis in reality. Tonight Mars conjuncts Neptune. This creates a catalyst for action, and for feeling spiritually connected with others. Idealism and energy combine to bring together forces of like mind.
Tuesday, January 20th - Who did you dream about last night? Call to mind what memories you can... there is likely to be love and long-reaching connection surrounding you at around 3am when Venus opposes the North Node of the moon. Karma involving loved ones will be triggered, and any blockages in this area will be given an opportunity to be doused in the light of transformation today. Today is a true Aquarian day... the sun enters Aquarius at 4:42am, and the moon follows into the sign of the water bearer at 7:59am. There is a Sun conjunct Moon aspect today, better known as a New Moon. On the New Moon the Sun and Moon typically meet up in the same sign. This is a great day for setting your goals and visions and clearing out old ideals and ideas that no longer apply to your life. The Moon sextiles Saturn at noon which will give you the focus and discipline to actually make these changes. Enjoy the electricity of Aquarius and feel new concepts and ways of thinking make their way into your world.
Wednesday, January 21st - Today a 3 week Mercury retrograde period begins. Mercury Rx periods can be a bit frustrating, as they often involve the breakdown of electrical items and technology. There can also be miscommunication and misunderstandings when it comes to any dealings with others. This is a good period to cultivate awareness and a clear manner of thinking and speaking. These periods aren't here to make things difficult; they are here to offer us an opportunity to learn and grow. The Aquarius moon is quite active today as well, forming a North Node trine, a Uranus sextile, a Mercury conjunction, a Jupiter opposition and a Venus conjunction, all before 9pm when it turns Void of Course. These Moon aspects are all fairly light and inspiration-heavy. The Mercury conjunction will especially help with the retrograde transition today. After 9pm, try to avoid any heavy emotional discussions or decisions while the Moon is void of course. During this 3 week period, consider holding off on any business deals, changes or buying of important items.
Thursday, January 22nd - The Moon enters the watery sign of Pisces this morning at 7:47am, and the void period comes to a close. A Moon square Saturn aspect at noon could create a reckless feeling, and a need to run from responsibilities. You might not actually blow off anything, but Pisces and Sagittarius especially will want to hide away from work and duties. A Moon/Neptune conjunction at 6pm will bathe the day in spiritual energy. Pisces' ruling planet is Neptune, and so a Pisces Moon and Neptune conjunction heightens the qualities of Pisces and brings them into the day. Spirituality, connection with all those around you, and empathy are all in focus today. Later in the evening, a Moon/Mars conjunction will give you emotional energy and a feeling of buoyancy. You may have a boost of energy, and you may feel driven to action when it comes to those you care about. It's a good day to hold onto a rose quartz, or a watery blue stone.
