Friday, February 13th - Friday the 13th's tend to be powerful days. Many people hold some type of belief or superstition regarding these days, and whether they believe them to be lucky or unlucky, they are typically correct. The collective consciousness of our society powers up these days and so there is a lot of energy circling around that can be channeled one way or the other. There is also a weak grand trine this afternoon that includes the Sagittarius moon, Uranus in Aries and Jupiter in Leo. Three fire signs united in trine formation amps up enthusiasm and passion and makes things happen very, very quickly. It's a good evening for going out and doing something outside of the daily routine. It is possible that tempers could flare up today. Watch what you're thinking about... our manifestation abilities are heightened on this day. The North Node is triggered by a sextile with the Moon, and combined with the other events today has to offer, there is a lot of latent power lying in the energy current of the planet. Events will occur very quickly, and you will draw them to you today based on the thoughts you're putting out.
Saturday, February 14th - It's a bit of an odd day as far as Valentine's Day is concerned. We start things off with a Moon/Venus square, which can trigger emotional reactions in relationships or partnerships. Then the Moon squares Mars, which can create blocked energy in our emotional fields, and consequently tempers can rise up. The moon is then void of course from 10:16am EST until 5:25 this evening, when it enters the sign of Capricorn. The advice for the morning and afternoon is 'take it as it comes'. Release expectations and go with the flow. These energies are only volatile if you fight the current. Tonight's Capricorn moon gives the evening a serious and mystical feeling. Tonight's energy is more refined than the morning's. Rituals and traditions reign. Whatever your plans may be, there is a need to pay attention to details. Don't cut corners tonight. The smallest things matter, and will demand your attention in some way if not faced directly.
Sunday, February 15th - The Capricorn moon is active today, forming a variety of intense contacts. Among the most obvious will be the Uranus square and Pluto conjunction. Plans might go awry, and no amount of energy exerted can change that (at least not today). Unexpected ideas or events will come rushing in today. This can be very positive! Solutions to old problems could be stumbled upon randomly, and plans could shift to something even better than what was previously discussed. It's not a great day for big picture planning. Focus on what's in front of you and don't get too caught up in long term goals. The Moon and Chiron sextile tonight will allow us to work through old issues. Rest up and relax if you can.
Monday, February 16th - The Capricorn moon sextiles Venus and Mars early on, which gives the day a pleasant but energetic feel. Creative enthusiasm abounds and it will feel easy to take action. Inspiration abounds. The moon moves void of course at 3:18pm EST, where it will stay until 7:14pm. Tonight it shifts into the sign of Aquarius. Discuss, philosophize, idealize. Don't keep ideas inside and be sure to collaborate with those of like mind. A Mercury/Moon conjunction tonight will make it easy to share feelings and conceptualize with others. Aquarian energy is helpful for consciousness shifts. Use the next couple days to take your mind higher and let go of old baggage.
Tuesday, February 17th - The morning takes on a serious approach. It's a good day for planning, study or discussing ideas for projects with others. This is not the day to idly daydream; instead, use this time to come up with concrete plans. Moon sextile Uranus at 4pm EST could bring in some inspiration, but also a bit of unexpected emotion. Utilize any feelings toward your work or creative projects. Jupiter opposes the moon tonight, and simultaneously moves into quincunx with Chiron. You could feel like you are being held back from something important to you. Leo, Pisces and Aquarius will notice this the most. Jupiter's energy is expansive and when it forms an opposition with the moon (emotion and security) it can feel like these things are being kept back from us. This is a passing influence. Sometimes our attitudes can prolong the sensation of separation. Keep this in mind if you notice any feelings of wanting to expand or evolve and yet feel trapped or stuck.
Wednesday, February 18th - The day is ruled by Neptune and the astrological sign Pisces. Themes of water, emotions and cleansing will come up today. Tonight at around 6pm there will be a new moon, which is a Moon conjunct Sun aspect. This new moon is in Aquarius, which also carries water energy despite it being an air sign. The moon is void of course for one minute this evening (yes, literally one minute). This will be from 6:47 pm EST until 6:48 pm, when the moon shifts to the sign of Pisces. This occurs a minute before the sun moves into Pisces too! What a cosmic event! New moons are wonderful days for removing what no longer serves us from our lives, and to 'clean up' in every sense of the word. Take stock of everything surrounding you and figure out what is working and what isn't. During the one minute void of course period, you are unlikely to even notice this influence. What you may feel is the shift into Pisces, which will bring up spiritual energy and concepts of illusion. Many of the things in our lives that aren't working are some type of illusion. By this I mean that we color our experiences through our own beliefs, thoughts and expectations. It is impossible for our experience to be subjective, and so we don't always see things for what they really are. Through perspective changes, the same event could be viewed infinite different ways. Keep this idea in mind tonight and consider what beliefs you hold that are holding you back from experiencing your life as it should be.
Thursday, February 19th - The big astrological news for the day is Mars shift to the sign of Aries tonight at 7:11pm. Aries is ruled by Mars, and so this is considered 'home' for the red planet. This will give us renewed vigor and could up our energy, depending on our own personal charts. Mercury sextiles Saturn this morning, which allows us to converse with others both honestly and sincerely. It's a good day to take action and focus on leadership. This could bring up some conflicting emotions (the Moon is forming some squares and quincunx aspects throughout the day) but both Mars and Mercury are in strong places and will give you some extra footing if you need it. The moon moves void of course tonight at 6:01 pm EST, where it will stay until tomorrow. Typically void moons are not good for decision making or taking action, but the rest of the astrology is quite supportive. However, it might be a smart idea to come up with a game plan and check back in tomorrow to make sure it still seems right.
