Friday, July 3rd - day begins in Mansion of Onuris / enters Mansion of Anuket at 11pm EST
The Capricorn moon sextiles Saturn at around 5am EST, providing structure and discipline for work and study. There is a short void of course period from 6:38am until 8:21am, when the moon emerges into Aquarius. At this point the focus of the day shifts from inner to outer perspectives. The whole day takes on the Aquarian quality of synthesizing past and future into the present. With Mercury square Chiron at 11:04am there is a draw to share past hurts and pain in an effort to transcend and transform (even if not everyone is aware that this is the reason!). You may find that friends or colleagues bring up issues from the past that they are trying to move beyond. The Moon trines the North Node, which often creates opportunities to step out of our comfort zone, particularly in the realm of interacting with new friends or members of the community. Mercury and Jupiter meet in sextile which is excellent for conversation and interaction on a mental level with others. 'Play' is an important theme, both in wordplay and in meeting life with a sense of childlike enthusiasm and wonder. The majority of the day the moon is in Onuris's mansion, the mansion of the sky-bearer. This is the domain of protection, both protection of self and others. Here the energy of Saturn and Uranus come together to create structure to vision. The past is protected and honored, and yet given the necessary electric growth to move forward. It's an ideal day for politics, conversation, marriage and partnership related ceremony. Late tonight we will enter Anuket's domain, which I will discuss more tomorrow.
Saturday, July 4th - day begins in Mansion of Anuket / enters Mansion of Shepes at 9pm EST
Today is fairly quiet astrologically. There are no major aspects until 6pm this evening when the Moon and Uranus meet in sextile. The Aquarian moon feels comfortable in aspect with Uranus, and it brings along with it new vision and ideas. Our emotional nature expands under the light of awareness. Fire and air signs (Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, Aquarius) will have fresh ideas flowing while the other signs will continue the groundwork for plans that have been brewing for some time. Later in the evening the moon opposes Jupiter and trines Mercury, only adding further to the need to build community and like-minded folk around ourselves. This has been a theme for the past month or so and you will find it continuing over the course of the summer. Moon opposition Jupiter makes us stretch our boundaries and reach further out of what feels safe. Many will take chances. Those who are celebrating Independence Day will find it a good night for festivities. An opportunity for fun could come from out of the blue, or at least at an unexpected locale. Most of the day is spent with the moon in the lunar mansion of Anuket, the mansion of the reformer. The energy of Uranus seeks out change in whatever way it can manage. Sudden, impulsive decisions can occur on days like this. This is considered the most infertile day of the month as a lot of the decisions and energy expended today won't stick. It is a better day for coming up with ideas and envisioning where you would next like to go. At 9pm this energy shifts as the moon enters the mansion of Shepes. Sunday, July 5th - day begins in Mansion of Shepes / enters Mansion of Min at 6pm EST
The moon opposes Venus at around 1am EST, creating a driving need for partnership to be seen by the community. This could extend to romantic relationships or business or creative work that is done in a duo or group. Obstacles may arise today surrounding the acceptance of your relationship or work by the public. The moon squares Saturn this morning which can make it difficult to concentrate on responsibilities or delegated tasks. The moon moves void of course for about two hours, from 8:32am until 10:24am when it enters Pisces. Daydreams are likely to take hold, and any emotional sensitivities you haven't been dealing with may come in over the course of the afternoon. Tonight the moon trines Mars at about 11pm EST, fueling emotional reactions but also giving energy when it comes to artistic projects and solo studies. The moon is in the mansion of Shepes for most of the day, the mansion of catalysts. Health is favored on this day, as are any medical or holistic practices. Uniqueness is celebrated today and it is common for us to face difficulties if we try to blend in when the moon is in Shepes' domain. Be vocal about your unique skills and abilities throughout the morning and afternoon, even if others don't seem responsive (which they might not be, since the moon is opposing Venus). At around 6pm the moon enters the lunar mansion of Min. This is the realm of the saints. Harvesting and gardening of all kinds is supported when the moon is in this mansion, as is volunteer work. Money can flow freely tonight and tomorrow, but only if the aim is selfless in nature.
Monday, July 6th - day begins in Mansion of Min / enters Mansion of Tawaret at 5pm EST
The Pisces moon conjuncts Neptune early this morning, bringing along with it spiritual and poetic inclinations. The drawback of this transit is that sometimes delusions can be enhanced. Be sure to step back from situations and welcome new opinions and perspectives. The moon sextiles Pluto and trines the Sun at around 10am EST. Here we are able to understand the roots of emotions better, and why someone might behave the way they do. Those who have their Sun, Moon or Mercury in Pisces, will especially gain some insight on the inner workings of others today. The moon/Sun trine is beneficial for emotional health and will offer some calm for those who have been stressed or worried. The Sun opposes Pluto today at 11:38am EST. Getting to the bottom of situations is not only a wish for many of us today, but a need. In the wake of the Neptune/Moon conjunction this morning, those who were deceived are looking for a way to see the truth. Sun/Pluto in opposition is a lot like a private detective. This transit gives us a keen eye and a suspicious mind. Try not to get too carried away, and instead use this energy to gain insight rather than get revenge or make your point known. The moon conjuncts Chiron tonight, which helps with rest and healing. This is also a very maternal energy and so the healing can extend to our mothers, grandmothers or others who care for us in some way. For the first part of the day, the moon is in the Mansion of Min, which reminds us to not be selfish with the things we have. Share and the day will be a lot easier. At 5pm EST the moon enters the Mansion of Tawaret. This is the mansion of presence. It is of particular importance to be aware and centered tonight and tomorrow morning. It is easy to get distracted or have our attentions divided beyond what feels manageable under the influence of this mansion. Practice breathing exercises or engage in physical activity to get back into your body. This is a favorable mansion for travel and protection from dangerous situations. It is not a good night or morning for new financial endeavors.
Tuesday, July 7th - day begins in Mansion of Tawaret / enters Mansion of Ra at 1pm EST
The moon squares Mercury this morning and trines Saturn shortly after. Conversations could be a bit circular this morning. Others may not quite get where you're coming from. It's important to stay grounded, focused and physically active this morning. Rather than spinning out in daydreams and imagined scenarios, do what you can to remain aware. Saturn's influence will help with tasks and deadlines, and with a little effort it is possible that long term projects could reach completion today. The moon moves void of course from 10:37am until 12:38pm EST. This two hour break in the middle of the day is ideal for working alone and allowing the Saturnian energy to be channeled into our projects or study. The moon enters Aries after the void which will allow us to come back and share what we've done with others. Tonight the moon opposes the North Node at around 8pm. Those who have a very specific vision may find it difficult to compromise with others. Anyone with their North Node in Aries or the 1st house will be hit by this transit. Mercury and Saturn are inconjunct tonight at 10:17pm. This creates a disconnect between responsibility and communication. Others may try to sway you from duties or plans, or else you may not understand why someone is so committed to doing things a certain way. This morning the moon is in the Mansion of Tawaret, which I detailed in yesterday's forecast. Remember to breathe and not let your mind get carried away with things that may or may not occur. At 1pm EST the moon enters the Mansion of Ra, the first mansion in the cycle. This is the mansion of joy and lightness and of seeing things anew. It is a bit like the "The Fool" tarot card. It gives us a chance to see things like a child might and meet the day with fresh eyes. Make use of this time this afternoon and evening. It is profoundly creative and visionary. The downside to the time in the Ra Mansion is that we are particularly receptive to others' energy. Don't spend time with people who make you feel bad tonight. It's a good afternoon or evening for a trip out of town or to somewhere you have never been before.
Wednesday, July 8th - day begins in Mansion of Ra / enters Mansion of Shu at 10 am EST
This morning the moon squares Mars, which has the effect of making some people demand independence or space. Tempers can flare up. While we are in the Mansion of Ra for the morning, it is better to distance yourself from others until the conversation can be conducted calmly. This should be easier after Mercury enters Cancer this afternoon. The moon squares Pluto this afternoon. Some people may demand to be heard or seen, while others shrink back into the shadows. There are really no gray areas this afternoon. Respect others' choices when it comes to being out in the spotlight or not. Mercury enters Cancer at 2:50pm EST. This will help with gentle communication and polite interchanges. Mercury in Cancer helps us look to the past for inspiration and ideas. This is especially helpful since we are in a massive retrograde cycle right now. Mercury in this sign will allow us to quickly identify patterns and problems and work toward resolving them. The moon squares the Sun this afternoon, which can cause friction between our inner selves and what we're showing to the world. Our public images are highlighted today, which is why there is so much focus on 'being in the spotlight'. Mars and Neptune meet in trine at 6:41pm which gives us energy and enthusiasm when it comes to poetry, writing and spiritual or religious pursuits. The next couple of days will see many finding inspiration from seemingly out of no where. The moon conjuncts Uranus later in the evening which will bring in more flashes of insight. This is a good transit for technology or electrical related jobs or hobbies. The moon is in the Mansion of Ra this morning (see yesterday's forecast) and enters the Mansion of Shu at 10am EST. This is the mansion of instinct. Under the influence of this mansion we may find ourselves struggling to explain why or how we plan on doing something to others. This takes up a lot of time and energy and the only way out is to realize that we don't need to explain ourselves. If we just take action we will find that others are much more receptive. This is a mansion of physical inertia and activity. A lot takes place on days when the moon is in the Mansion of Shu.
Thursday, July 9th - day begins in Mansion of Shu / enters Mansion of Tefnut at 9am EST
The moon trines Jupiter and Venus this morning, creating a pioneering spirit that extends into the fields of travel, philosophy, education and art. We can really make waves today, and discover new ideas and territories of the mind. The moon moves void of course from 9:47am until 3:50pm EST, when it enters Taurus. Here we have more physical dimensions added to any plans we are undertaking, and the bones of the project can really be filled in. In other words, it's an excellent day to get things done! The moon sextiles Mercury this evening, which allows us to communicate effectively and reach out to friends and loved ones. Perhaps you will enjoy plans with a group later in the day. Some might work with others in building, gardening or craftwork. Once the moon enters the Mansion of Tefnut at 9am, we will begin to see some interesting things in others. Tefnut's is the mansion of 'allowing'. It is all about not fighting against things, or trying to manipulate them to end up a certain way. None of these strategies will work today, and will probably end up backfiring. You may notice this if you observe the behavior of others throughout the day. It is important to relax today. This doesn't mean you should sit still and do nothing, but relax your mind and not worry about outcomes so much. When the moon is in this mansion those who trust are often rewarded in some way. The ancients believed this was an ideal mansion for alchemy, science and those who sailed the seas.
