Monday and Tuesday are relatively quiet in the sky. The moon wanes from the sign of Taurus into Gemini. We may feel curious and mentally invigorated. We feel the building energy of Mars, creating some restlessness.
Wednesday, October 7th ~ Mercury moves into opposition with Uranus today at 4:59pm EST. This is a steady build up that we can feel all day. When this happens our ideas and conversation are on overdrive. We chatter away and may blurt things out without thinking. Mercury is in secretive Scorpio, and Uranus is in grounded Taurus. It is easy to spill the beans today. I mentioned a week or so ago that it's never a good idea to try to keep a lie hidden during Mercury's transit through Scorpio. These things have a way of getting to the surface. Under this transit we are likely to reveal all sorts of hidden truths. Maybe this is a positive thing. Uranus hits like electricity and shakes up the foundation. This transit can activate necessary change. No matter what happens, it tends to feel surprising and possibly exciting.
Friday, October 9th ~ We've been feeling this one all week. Mars and Pluto perfect in square at 9:09am EST. Mars is retrograde currently, so we went through this transit back on August 13th. This gives us another shot at that energy. Do you remember what you did that day? The Mars/Pluto square (plus the last quarter moon in Cancer today) brings up frustrations due to feeling confined or dominated. The prevailing energy is wanting to break free. We rattle the bars of our mental cages and growl our pleas for escape. Ultimately the lesson of this transit is that of awareness. When we are in a place of distraction and are not fully present, we tend to speak in ways that activate this feeling in others. There is more room for miscommunication, confusion, and argument. By bringing more awareness to ourselves and the way we interact with the world around us, we help to clear out the clutter and allow more harmony to enter our lives. We can't control those around us, but we can meet them in a way which lessens the frustrations for both parties. Or, if that doesn't work, we have the power to step away. We can only help those who want the help.
Saturday, October 10th ~ Mars is retrograde, which means we are reliving the same transits from back in August. This morning at 4:46am EST the red planet sextiles the North Node of the moon. We get another shot at something that was offered to us in August. The offering could be very literal (a job, promotion, house, opportunity) or something more metaphysical / emotional in composition. This could come as a deepening of that opportunity or another version of it. Tonight Venus and Uranus meet in trine at 7:07pm EST. Surprises come in the sector of relationship. The trine ensures it is mostly positive, although Venus is currently in Virgo, and this is not a placement that really loves surprises. Roll with it if you can. Chance meetings, electric connection, and surprises from partners are some ways this can play out.
Sunday, October 11th ~ The Sun in Libra squares Jupiter in Capricorn at 9:34am EST. You see a vision clearly in your mind, but there is some frustration attached to it. It exists so sharply on the mental plane, and yet it is not here in the physical world. Impatience abounds. Why? We exist here on this plane where time and space are more than just factors, but laws of reality. Things take time to develop, and they can't just spring up out of the ether - they have to follow the scientific laws of this world. But, everything starts in the mind. This is not magic, but rather perception. We tune ourselves to the picture we create in our mind's eye. When we hold onto that, we begin to seek out things in the world that match it. It's like when you hear someone talking about pineapples and then there are five pineapple references in one day. Your ear is tuned to hear that word and so you find yourself surrounded by it. You are led by the subtle vibration to find it. Become a deliberate creator. Hold the vision in your mind and collect the pieces you need in the world to make it real. It may take a little time, but that's okay. A pineapple takes time to grow, too. You must wait for the seed to sprout, for the plant to grow, for the tiny little fruit to become large and then ready to pick. Nature shows us this, all around. One day the thing that was just an idea in your mind will be here, tangible and real, observable by all your senses.
