Monday, November 23rd ~ Today we have few aspects until late in the evening. The moon is in Pisces all day long, which is a good atmosphere for quiet creativity, healing, and deepening empathic connections to others. At 11:39pm EST, Mercury and Neptune meet in trine, though we can feel this several hours before it perfects. The moon also passes through a brief conjunction with Neptune as this is building. I really like this transit for such things like reading tarot, channeling, journaling, painting, or writing poetry. The swift communication of Mercury teams up with the immersive spirituality of Neptune. We also have a couple asteroid aspects today; Venus and Ceres are in trine, and Chiron will be entering a square with Eros which will last through Wednesday. The Venus/Ceres contact is beautiful! This is a nurturing aspect that connects us to the feeling of unconditional, motherly love. It is a good day for expressing our love for family, pets, or friends. The Chiron/Eros square is a little darker. Eros represents our sexuality, turn-ons and desires. With Chiron creating a harsh angle here we may feel some shame in this arena, or maybe we can work to heal some of our past wounds through sensual healing.
Tuesday, November 24th ~ The moon is void of course this morning from 5:44am until 10:05am EST, when it moves into Aries. We may find ourselves wanting more freedom today to move and explore, or work independently. Yesterday's Chiron/Eros square rolls on, and again we may find ourselves needing to heal parts of ourselves that feel guilt or shame around our sexuality and desires. Asteroid Sappho is resting at the 29th degree of Scorpio today and tomorrow which creates some urgency around these matters. We may wish to express our feelings in a physical manner, through dance, movement, or connection to another. The Sun is squaring Ceres today, which can trigger issues with the maternal - either our own mother or maternal figure, our identities as mothers, or just the idea of what this represents. A lot of healing can be done today and tomorrow under these particular skies.
Wednesday, November 25th ~ The moon is in Aries all day long. We are encouraged to be pioneers of the emotional sector, boldly exploring our inner terrain. Asteroid Sappho remains at the 29th degree of Scorpio, the anaretic degree. Lust and desire play an important role today and tomorrow morning. Neptune enters a square with asteroid Psyche today which lasts until the 29th. Despite this being an asteroid, I imagine we will feel this in a palpable way as Neptune creeps toward the end of its retrograde cycle on Saturday. Psyche is actually considered to be ruled by Neptune, as she represents the dream plane and psychic connection. To be in a square with her ruler creates some tension in these areas. We may feel like we are heavily veiled and unable to fully gain clarity around some area of our lives. This could also just take place in the dream world; maybe something here is puzzling you, or maybe you are having a hard time remembering your dreams when you are normally quite prolific in your dream journal. However this manifests for you, know that it is temporary. Illusions may be persistent this week. Remember to take a step back and know all is not how it appears.
Thursday, November 26th ~ Asteroid Sappho slips out of Scorpio into the sign of Sagittarius today, effectively sating the intense sensual desire she stirred up over the start of the week. In Sagittarius, there is joy to be found in pleasures of the senses and we may feel more adventurous in our pursuit of these. If you are in America and feasting today for Thanksgiving, this is actually the perfect expression of this energy. The Sun is in trine with Chiron all day, perfecting at 4:51pm EST. While the historical roots of Thanksgiving are certainly problematic, this transit reminds us of the power of gratitude and expression of thankfulness. We can heal internal blockages today by extending gratitude both to others and in our own internal world. The moon is void of course from 6:46pm to 10:43pm EST when it enters Taurus. We may have a sleepier evening and enjoy disconnecting later in the day.
Friday, November 27th ~ The Moon is in Taurus today, in a position of exaltation. This is helpful as we navigate some possibly intense interpersonal aspects. Mercury and Pluto sextile each other at 5:37am EST. We feel an intense desire to see below the surface as we communicate with others. This aspect is not negative, but can give us a forcefulness or one-track mind in seeking knowledge. Venus and Uranus are opposite each other, perfecting at 12:10pm EST. This aspect can throw some surprises into our relationships. We may not be able to predict the behavior of those closest to us, and our own creative muse can be fickle today. This aspect is also not inherently negative, as surprises can sometimes be positive. It is all in your frame of mind. Mercury moves into conjunction with asteroid Juno today, suggesting we may be required to make our loyalty known to someone today, or else we may desire someone else clarifying their loyalty to us.
Saturday, November 28th ~ Neptune retrograde ends today at 18 degrees Pisces, with the distant planet moving direct at 7:37pm EST. Neptune's retrograde period is a familiar ritual, as it spends half of each year retrograde. Because of this, it never really gains much ground. During its half-year of forward motion, it usually ticks forward only about 5 degrees before retrograde brings it back 3 or 4. This is why Neptune spends so long in a single sign. Neptune carries with it an intense fog that tends to drop a veil over our eyes. When it is retrograde, this mist dissolves and allows us to see with a bit more clarity. We don't need to worry, though; now that Neptune is direct, it doesn't mean we'll be wandering aimlessly through an endless night of dense fog. With Neptune stationing direct, we tap into the astral pipeline. We are able to dream up fantasies and conjure things in our imaginations which allow us to dream bigger and brighter. I discuss this in more detail in this week's podcast episode. Also, Mercury is sextile Jupiter today, perfecting at 9:50pm EST. We may feel more chatty and talkative tonight, and enjoy sharing ideas with others.
Sunday, November 29th ~ The moon is void of course today from 7:46am until 11:16am EST, when it enters Gemini. A slower Sunday gives way to an active mind and renewed curiosity for the afternoon. Emotional issues may not be of the utmost concern under this Gemini moon, and you may prefer to distract yourself with things that stimulate your mind. It is a nice day for socializing with those in your circle, or from a distance. We are gearing up for tomorrow's Full Moon, so give some thought to what you are hoping to bring in, especially in the realm of friendship and communication.
