Monday, November 9th ~ Today we begin the day with a brief void moon from 6:05 until 8:30am EST, when it enters Virgo. Venus in Libra exactly opposes retrograde Mars in Aries at 11:08am EST. Yin energy conflicts with yang today, rather than working in harmony. We may feel both reactive and fiery while at the same time not wanting to put any effort in. The Virgo moon can make us feel guilty for not getting things done, or putting our attention in the "wrong" place. The best course of action is to balance out your activities today. Get a little work in, then incorporate a short rest break where you can decompress. Clean the house, and then read the book you're excited about. If you're stuck at work, then steal away for a few minutes for some deep breathing before diving back in. We are building up toward the show-stopper of the week - the Jupiter/Pluto conjunction on Thursday. Balance is key as we move forward.
Tuesday, November 10th ~ The Sun trines Neptune shortly after midnight today, at 12:11am EST. This is a fairly blissful aspect that can bring sweet, fantastical dreams. We feel the influence of this aspect even as we wake to this world, and yet may bring remnants of our dreams into physical life. The day takes on a rosy glow or dreamlike haze. The trine ensures this is mostly positive, but it could bring some confusion or sensory overload for some. Another big event happens at 4:51pm EST as Mercury re-enters Scorpio. Mercury was just in Scorpio from September 28th to October 27th, when it dipped back into Libra thanks to its retrograde. With Mercury in Scorpio, we benefit most from communication styles which are intimate / one-on-one and emotionally honest. As a reminder, lies tend to come to the surface when Mercury is in Scorpio so it is best to come clean and be clear and straightforward in your dealings.
Wednesday, November 11th ~ The moon is void of course today from 5:58 to 11:10am EST when it enters Libra. The day has a slower start but picks up momentum in the afternoon. We are feeling the dramatic build up of tomorrow's Jupiter/Pluto conjunction. You can hear more about this intense event in this week's podcast episode, or come back tomorrow for some info here. The Libra moon makes us feel sociable and romantic. Tonight, the Northern Taurids meteor shower peaks shortly after midnight, located in the Taurus constellation not far from the Pleiades cluster. The day has a Venusian flair, sparking our creativity and need for harmony in our relationships. Powerful downloads come in at night, particularly in sleep. Wisdom from ancient civilizations is available in the etheric
Thursday, November 12th ~ It's the big one today! Jupiter and Pluto meet in conjunction at 4:38pm EST at 22 degrees Capricorn. Jupiter and Pluto have been transiting Capricorn together this year, and have already conjuncted one another twice. The first of these occurred on April 5th and the second was on June 30th. This energy is certainly intense, but it is not entirely negative. The great Saturn/Pluto conjunction happened back in January, and was really the catalyst for the pandemic and major worldwide shifts that happened early on in 2020. (A Saturn/Pluto conjunction has been present for all the major plagues, pandemics and outbreaks in modern history.) The Jupiter/Pluto conjunction has a slightly different flavor. This transit brings the shadow to the surface and gives the impression of expanding or creating it, but in actuality is just showing it for what it is and has been for a long time. As this conjunction is in Capricorn, it focuses on economics, poverty vs extreme wealth, and the exposure of corrupt politicians. These things have been spilling out of Pandora's box all year long. Despite it seeming to be worse during 2020, the underworld is being revealed down to its core. This is the last of the trio of conjunctions, and so will likely bring another overhaul related to money and power with it. We may see some shifts in leadership or policies. Listen to this week's podcast episode for a more in-depth breakdown of what we can expect.
Friday, November 13th ~ The Libra moon is void from 6:32 to 11:19am EST, when it ingresses Scorpio. Again, the morning has a slightly hazy, slow feeling to it. Venus and the North Node trine at 9:02am EST, right in the middle of the void. You may feel like chatting with your friends or colleagues but the beginning of the day does not have much substance. Despite this, connections made with others prove to propel you forward later on, even if at the moment it seems not much is happening. As soon as the moon is in Scorpio's territory in late morning, you could suddenly want space to focus on a project in solitude. It is suddenly easier to focus. Mars retrograde ends this evening at 7:36pm EST. This retrograde began back on September 9th. Often when a planet is in its home sign for its retrograde, it lessens the effect somewhat. But Mars is fiery and was only strengthened by this extended stay in Aries, and as a result this retrograde period was especially dramatic. Tempers flared up, frustrations mounted, and it may have been more difficult to resolve situations in a peaceful manner. With Mars now resuming direct motion, we should meditate on shifting to the positive polarity of this planet - working to better situations and experiences by taking right, decisive action.
Saturday, November 14th ~ Today belongs to the Scorpion. The Sun in Scorpio sextiles Pluto at 2:48pm EST and later sextiles Jupiter at 10:57pm EST. The moon is in Scorpio all day long. We build up to a New Moon shortly after midnight. The energy reminds me of a private detective, or a gifted medium. Our ability to pierce the veil is strengthened. We see behind and through all things. It is very easy to spot the truth today, if you only know how to look. Scorpionic people live and breathe this reality, always seeking to know and understand. The sextiles are quite harmonious, ensuring the process of learning and digging is enjoyable and enlightening. Those who bend or stretch the truth will not be able to get far with these strategies today.
Sunday, November 15th ~ Happy New Moon in Scorpio! The Sun/Moon conjunction perfects at 12:07am EST. This New Moon is a good time to do some internal cleansing. Work with your thoughts and beliefs to see what needs to be transformed. Sometimes destroying something is necessary in order to rebuild. Conversely, do you tend to destroy things just as they are about to succeed or come to fruition? Today we are able to dig below the surface to see why. What about success scares you? Working with these fears is encouraged today. The moon is void of course for a few hours this morning, from 6:13 to 10:47am EST when it enters Sagittarius. We may feel like learning, reading, or having an entirely new experience. Venus and Pluto meet in square at 2:42pm EST. This transit brings our attention to power imbalances in relationships. A common way it can manifest is noticing you are acting overly pleasant to avoid conflict, pushing down your feelings so as not to upset the other person. It can also show up as trying to control our partners, family, or friends through passive aggression. Our work today is in the shadows, but the Sagittarius moon helps make this a slightly more enjoyable process. Sagittarians are the joy-bringers of the zodiac, shooting arrows on behalf of jovial Jupiter. However, a Sagittarius moon will do anything to avoid discomfort. It may be easier to do our emotional and internal cleansing work earlier in the day, when the moon is still in Scorpio, or else making a game of the process. The Sagittarius moon enjoys things more when they pique its curiosity. The whole event becomes a veritable garden of delights.
