Monday, November 2nd ~ Asteroid Ceres is currently sitting at 29 degrees Aquarius. The 29th degree, also called the anaretic degree in astrology, is considered the most unstable place for any planet or asteroid to be stationed. Ceres entered here on Halloween and will be in this placement until November 10th, when Ceres enters Pisces. Ceres is considered the maternal asteroid; this asteroid is the same size as Pluto and part of the reason why Pluto was demoted to planetoid status (for if Pluto were a planet, then Ceres would need to be become one too, since she is the same size!). Let's break this down for a minute. Ceres was the mother of Demeter/Persephone in Roman/Greek mythology -- Demeter/Persephone who was kidnapped by Pluto/Hades and brought down to the underworld. So in this way, Ceres' demotion of Pluto is really the ultimate mother's revenge! Ceres here at this unstable degree for the next week is sure to represent a need to keep our children (or animals) safe. There may be a strong desire or urge to procreate, or perhaps a feeling of wanting to protect those who are unable to look out for themselves. It is a highly charged maternal energy that is sure to be felt on both a personal and global scale.

Tuesday, November 3rd ~ Today the moon is in Gemini and it is exceedingly active. We have several moon transits, including moon sextile retrograde Mars, square Neptune, and conjunct the North Node / opposite the South Node. All of this energy is very social and a bit scattered and frantic. It's like having a few espressos. The big news for today is that Mercury stations direct at 12:50pm EST. While Mercury will still be its retrograde shadow until the 19th, we are at least gaining speed and entering the Second Phase of the new Mercury cycle which began on October 25th. So while we may need to clear out some old projects and lingering loose ends out of the way, we are at least full of energy and enthusiasm to make this happen. Mercury is still in Libra for the time being, which makes it a good time to collaborate and work with others to build our ideas into reality. Today asteroid Sappho trines Neptune which is all about sexual freedom and the ability to reach higher spiritual planes through loving openly and without condition.

Wednesday, November 4th ~ The moon is void of course from 8:49am EST until 4:46pm EST when it enters Cancer. The moon is strengthened by this ingress into Cancer, but it can exaggerate our empathy and make us more impacted by those around us (especially those with water Moons). The void period leaves us feeling less motivated, maybe more like napping or doing things that aren't considered productive. Let yourself off the hook and rest. Once the moon enters Cancer, we have the really unique planetary alignment of all four cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) containing the planets that rule over them. Now, Mars is in Aries, the Moon is in Cancer, Venus is in Libra, and Saturn is in Capricorn. This is a wild alignment that has not happened since 1783. If we look back at that year we can see that this was a big one for the United States. The Treaty of Paris was signed, ending the Revolutionary War, and giving the USA its freedom from Great Britain. Cardinal energy carries the spirit of beginnings and initiations as Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn mark the beginning of each of the four seasons. Tonight, Thursday, and Friday all carry this vibration of newness and change.

Thursday, November 5th ~ Today we continue to feel the heightened vibration of Mars, the Moon, Venus, and Saturn all in their cardinal home signs. The Cancer moon squares retrograde Mars and Venus throughout the day. We may need some time alone to regroup and recharge. Impatience with others is likely, especially feeling like we are unappreciated or being taken for granted. However, the Moon makes a couple pleasant aspects as well, sextiling Uranus in Taurus and trining the Sun. See where the day carries you once you have a little space.

Friday, November 6th ~ As Mercury is now direct, we are seeing it go back through many of the same aspects from the past few weeks. Mercury enters a square with Saturn at 3:58am EST, and we feel this all day long. This aspect actually happened just last week, only Mercury was retrograde at the time. We could feel perfectionistic or unhappy with our output. Mercury's direct motion helps this somewhat, so we can at least receive feedback and inspiration from others without so much miscommunication. The Cancer moon opposes the stellium of planets in Capricorn throughout the day before moving void of course at 8:27pm EST, which adds to the feeling of needing outside accomplishment to make the inner world more calm. Remember this is mostly illusory. Asteroid Pallas enters into a conjunction with Jupiter today, lasting until the 8th. Pallas, daughter of Triton, rules over our creative intellect. She is a little like Mercury in that she deals with the mind, but with an exalted power of creativity. In conjunction with Jupiter we may have expansive ideas and inspired thoughts that lead us to new vistas.

Saturday, November 7th ~ The void moon enters Leo at 2:19am EST, effectively ending the cardinal powerhouse of the last few days. Today is fairly quiet astrologically. The moon squares Uranus at 5:49pm EST and this is really the only major aspect. Pallas and Jupiter are still in conjunction at 21 degrees Capricorn. The energy of today is a little showy and theatrical. We could express ourselves rather dramatically and maybe create problems where there aren't any in our relationships. There is a lot of room for expansive creations to take physical form. Work on your ideas and channel that dramatic feeling into projects rather than taking it out on people around you.

Sunday, November 8th ~ Today is quiet astrologically, with the Moon entering its last quarter at 8:46am EST. The Leo Moon squares the Sun at 16 degrees Scorpio. Here in the second decan of Scorpio (ruled by Neptune), we find a need to plumb the depths. We want to explore the deepest zones of the psyche, swimming through shadowed grottos and darkened caves. Small talk will not cut it today. Dive in with those who will support you and shine a light on your explorations.
