Monday, January 11th ~ Today the moon is void until 8:30am EST, when it enters Capricorn. The aspects for today are all harmonious for the most part; Mercury moves into conjunction with Jupiter at 12:19pm and a few minutes later enters a sextile with Chiron at 12:22pm EST. Jupiter sextiles Chiron shortly after, at 12:48pm EST. These aspects allow us to talk about our feelings at much depth, and from a slightly removed place since these planets are in Aquarius and Aries. We can almost rise out of our bodies to see the bigger picture and then explain our findings. We communicate expansively today, and may have a hard time keeping thoughts to ourselves. Everything comes spilling out. The moon in Capricorn helps us keep a level head throughout it, and generally speaking the energy is pretty level even though we might discuss some heavy topics. We can dive into the deep end with ease.

Tuesday, January 12th ~  The moon is in Capricorn all day, providing a steady backdrop for some tenser aspects. This Capricornian moon is good for channeling any emotions into our work. Be careful of over-compartmentalizing today; it is better to work through emotions rather than to avoid them. Mercury squares Uranus at 9:59am EST, which can make communication somewhat shocking and abrasive. You might be surprised at what you hear. Technology could be on the fritz. Venus and Chiron square today at 4:03pm EST. The second half of the day is maybe less random feeling, and not as chaotic. We can work to heal upsets through genuine connection with others. Late afternoon and evening are good for getting out your thoughts through chatting with someone you care about, or channeling them into writing, art, etc. We begin a new macro moon cycle at midnight tonight. Light a candle to bring in the next phase.

Wednesday, January 13th ~ Happy New Moon! The Sun and Moon meet in conjunction just as the 13th begins, right at 12am EST. We begin a new macro moon cycle that will culminate during Cancer season this summer. This New Moon is the perfect time to set goals surrounding career and worldly ambitions. Set these intentions with the knowing that you are on your way; after the seed is planted, by June 24th during the Capricorn Full Moon many of these will begin to sprout and bloom. The moon is void of course from 2:22am to 11:44am EST as it enters Aquarius. The moon joins Mercury, Jupiter, and Saturn in Aquarius and brings ideas on how to make the world a better place. Our vision expands collectively. Mars is squaring Saturn today (perfecting at 6:01am EST but tangible all day long), which can make it easy to repress anger. Be careful as this tension builds up in the body and can create problems if not released. It's a good idea to move today. Stretching and light exercise will help release. Venus and Uranus meet in trine at 7:21pm EST. Relationships shift and change but likely for the better. The trine ensures that there is some level of excitement to all that unfolds.

Thursday, January 14th ~ Today the moon is in Aquarius all day. We enter into a 36 hour void moon period at 4:28am EST! The moon will be void of course until tomorrow evening. Welcome to the void. It's a good idea to rest up and nurture yourself today and tomorrow. Don't push yourself too much to meet deadlines or to get everything done. The more you can create a womb-like sanctuary for yourself, the better. Get under a blanket, eat some delicious food and watch your favorite movie or read a great book. Uranus stations direct at 6 degrees Taurus at 3:37am EST, and suddenly all the planets are out of retrograde. Uranus' retrograde lasted from August 15th until now, carrying with it a shocking sense of deja vu. During Uranus Rx we may find ourselves wondering if history is repeating itself. Even though the events may be surprising or unexpected, there is something very familiar about them. It provides us some time to connect past and present and learn from what came before. As we enter into new Uranian terrain, our focus shifts more to the electric future and all we hope to create.

Friday, January 15th ~ The next two days are a nice breath of fresh, aspectless air after a pretty busy zodiacal week. The moon is void of course today until 5:17pm EST when it enters Pisces. Don't try to push yourself too much. If you have tasks to do, consider waiting until evening or at least setting a slower pace for your work. Take time to breathe. Maybe take a nap or do a brief mid-day meditation. Mercury is trining asteroid Psyche today which expands our curiosity and makes us eager to learn more. Puzzles and games that involve the brain will feel especially enjoyable today.

Saturday, January 16th ~ The moon is in Pisces all day today. We may feel more sensitive, emotional and curious about the world around us. It is easier to feel into the collective unconscious. Boundaries become blurred. Mercury moves into conjunction with asteroid Pallas in Aquarius today. Creative insights come easier. Unusual thoughts and ideas show up. You may follow a new trajectory that leads you somewhere interesting. Overall it is a relatively quiet day with little astrological interference or assistance.

Sunday, January 17th ~ Today the moon is in Pisces all day long, and Mercury continues its conjunction to asteroid Pallas. Creative solutions abound. You may find yourself thinking in new ways or interested in something outside the realm of what is typical for you. Jupiter and Uranus meet in square at 5:49pm EST. This aspect is somewhat harsh. Freedom becomes of the utmost importance for folks during a transit like this. We could feel boxed in and willing to do what it takes to step out of what we perceive to be a cage. This aspect makes it tricky to slow down long enough to see things for what they are. We see a wall and so we react by knocking it down, rather than taking the time to examine it to find that it has a hidden door. Try to ground yourself. Be patient, take deep breaths, and ask other people for advice or help if you need it. All these things will be useful today and keep you from doing something rash that you might need to clean up later on.
