Weekly Forecast: 6/14/21 through 6/20/21

Monday, June 14th ~ Today the moon is in Leo all day, forming a square to Uranus and opposition to Saturn at about 3:27pm EST. The big aspect for the day comes at 6:00pm EST, when retrograde Saturn re-enters into a square with Uranus. This is the second of three of these aspects that will be occurring in 2021. The grander strokes of this square will likely bring along shifts in the economic sectors, and brings our attention to the conflict and abrasion between the old establishment and the newer, more revolutionary ideas. This aspect often shows up during economic depressions; we saw it during the early years of the Great Depression and also during the Gas Crisis of the 1970s. On a personal level, the energies today could feel somewhat conflicting. You may feel torn between diving into complete freedom and being chained to your responsibilities. The Leo moon pulls our emotions out to the surface, to be explored in more dramatic ways. The next Saturn/Uranus square will occur at the end of December. For more info on this dynamic, year-defining transit, you can listen to my latest podcast episode.

Tuesday, June 15th ~ Today the moon is in Leo almost all day, sextiling Mercury at 12:57am EST. If you are asleep during this aspect, you may wake up with some emotional revelation or a dream which brings some healing energy. For those who are awake, you could feel compelled to share your feelings with someone else. The Sun in Gemini and Moon in Leo meet in sextile at 1:26pm EST, creating some harmony between our inner and outer realities. It's a good day for self-expression and exploring your thoughts with others. The moon moves void of course from 1:27pm until 11:02pm EST, when it ingresses Virgo. The afternoon is somewhat more theoretical and playful, and is better for letting go of the need to work linearly. Go where your joy and passion take you.

Wednesday, June 16th ~ The moon is in Virgo all day today, opposing Jupiter in Pisces early on at 2:59am EST. The day begins on a more serious note. You could feel focused and somewhat in your own world, seeking to complete tasks and goals in a no-nonsense kind of way. Interruptions will likely be unwelcome. The moon trines Uranus tonight at 11:07pm EST, which shakes up the rigidity of the moon's overcast. The night could have more surprises. It's a good evening for a game, fun meal, or movie viewing. Retrograde Mercury and asteroid Vesta meet in square today, which can create some communication issues centered around the home and personal possessions. Double check details and be as clear as you can when dealing with these matters.

Thursday, June 17th ~ The moon is in Virgo all day today, forming a number of aspects throughout the morning and afternoon. We begin with a square to Mercury at 6:16am and sextile to Venus at 8:07am EST. It's a nice day for artistic expression, and for cleaning and clearing up a space to flow and reflect your highest intentions. Getting lost in a project might be more preferable to groupwork and communication, since Mercury's aspects today are a little cranky. Venus meets asteroid Vesta in sextile later this afternoon, which invites in a chance to mend any relationships that are feeling strained. Harmony is more easily introduced into the home. Creative energy abounds today. The Sun and Moon square at 11:53pm EST and the moon enters its First Quarter before immediately going void of course. This acts as a catalyst, prepping us for action. We feel more ready to take on a challenge tonight and tomorrow, thanks to this series of aspects.

Friday, June 18th ~ The moon is void of course until 4:54am EST, when it ingresses Libra. Here in Libra, the moon is social, artistically inclined, and seeks out emotional balance. The moon sextiles Mars this afternoon at 12:32pm EST, which could make us excited to reach out to someone else, or to shift an emotional block and open it up by taking an inspired action. Venus moves into a two day conjunction with asteroid Psyche, a highly electric aspect. We may be interested in sharing our inner workings with a loved one, or showing our unique way of thinking through our artistic expression. Pluto enters into a several day long sextile with asteroid Pallas, which allows us to penetrate the veil of the divine mind. It becomes easier to make contact with our higher self, and to look at our life from a position of increased compassion and insight. Transformation occurs through our relationship to the higher creative mind.

Saturday, June 19th ~ The moon is in Libra all day. It is a social social morning, with the moon trining Saturn at 3:15am and trining Mercury at 9:22am EST. We may zero in on others in conversation today, listening more intently than usual thanks to the energy of Saturn. Networking may happen quite naturally. The moon squares Venus at 4:07pm EST, which can create some tension in relationships if we try to exert control over a situation. The Venus/Psyche conjunction and Pluto/Pallas sextile from yesterday continue on. We may feel like dipping away from a group or social obligation in favor of quiet artistic expression come early evening.

Sunday, June 20th ~ Today is a loaded day in the cosmos! Many aspects abound. The Libra moon trines the Gemini Sun at 6:51am EST, and immediately moves void of course until 7:58am EST, when it enters Scorpio. The morning is buoyant and optimistic. Jupiter stations retrograde at 11:06am EST at 2 degrees Pisces. In the first decan of Pisces, ruled by Neptune, Jupiter continues to expand our spiritual view and present us opportunities to deepen our compassion. Jupiter retrograde lasts until October 18th, and calls us to move inward to expand our minds and help break negative cycles. If there is something that you tend to be reckless with, or a habit you have trouble breaking, Jupiter retrograde is the perfect time to work toward understanding the reasons behind this compulsion. Jupiter will re-enter Aquarius on July 28th, where it will be until the end of December. More on this retrograde can be found in today's podcast episode. At 11:31pm EST, the Sun enters the sign of Cancer and officially kicks off the Summer Solstice in the northern hemisphere and Winter Solstice in the southern. The domain of cardinal water is focused on emotional initiation. We swim through deep emotions like a moonlit tidal pool, collecting treasures from the sand. During this time, it can be useful to explore your emotions with increased awareness, seeing how they ebb and flow like the tides. Do you tend to be more stoic and even keeled, or do your feelings shift frequently throughout the day? Bringing in more observation and less judgment can allow for increased compassion. There are many more asteroid aspects today, but I feel I have already written enough. Happy Cancer season!
