Monday, June 21st ~ Today the moon is in Scorpio all day long, expanding our emotional depths and taking us into deep reaches of the psyche. Venus in Cancer and Neptune in Pisces meet in trine at 9:56am EST, another watery aspect that expands our creative vision into something intangible but full of inspiration. The less you can get attached to details today, the better. Fine lines and sharp edges might lead to mistakes and frustrations, but soft washes of color bring a peaceful sense of purpose and expression. Asteroids Sappho and Pallas are in square this whole week, which can create a feeling of creative friction. While this could stir up some feelings of anger or make blocks more apparent, it can also serve as a helpful catalyst in breaking through modes of thinking and acting that are not serving the higher mind. Pluto and Pallas are also in sextile throughout the week, which allows a greater sense of clarity and control over creative endeavors. Creativity of course, does not just belong to the artists and musicians of the world, but to any who seek to bring something new into the physical plane. Today is the last full day of Mercury retrograde. As we edge closer to the next phase of Mercury's cycle, consider your intention as a guiding force behind all words and actions.
Tuesday, June 22nd ~ The Scorpio moon sextiles Pluto at 2:42am EST this morning and then moves void of course until 8:56am EST when it enters Sagittarius. Dreams may lead you to the shadow realm or places in the collective imagination where fear builds up and creates frightening images. The sextile aspect ensures protection and safety as you venture through these terrains. Maybe by perceiving them, you are imbuing them with light and raising their frequency. Once the moon shifts into Sagittarius, energy is higher and you may feel more optimistic. Mercury retrograde ends as the planet of communication stations direct at 6:01pm EST, at 16 degrees Gemini. Slowdowns and scrambled messages clear up. It is a bit like a radio station that is full of static coming into signal again, and music emerges from the mess. We enter the second phase of a four month long Mercury cycle. The key words for this phase, which lasts until August 1st, are prototype and test. It's time to try out your ideas in the world. Take action, but don't be afraid to edit and shift if things aren't working out to your liking. Trial and error is the name of this game. Mercury is moving at its fastest rate between now and August, retracing the steps it just backtracked over during its retrograde. Our ability to get things done is likewise increased. We are guided by the continuing Pluto/Pallas sextile, allowing us to peer undisturbed into the higher creative mind.
Wednesday, June 23rd ~ The moon is in playful, expansive Sagittarius all day today. We begin with the moon moving into conjunction with the South Node at 2:06am EST. The South Node is the pipeline back through the past. Memories expand and come into focus. Past lives may seem easier to access today. The Sun and Jupiter meet in trine at 6:10am EST, which is a positive and brilliant aspect that increases creativity and feelings of generosity. Boundless enthusiasm ensues. Venus and Pluto oppose one another later in the evening, around 7:38pm EST. Commitments and emotional entanglements could feel especially stifling tonight. You may wish for more freedom to roam. Give yourself the night off if you can. The moon moves void of course at 10:09pm EST. It's a good night to curl up with a book or movie and escape into another world.
Thursday, June 24th ~ The moon is void of course this morning until it enters Capricorn at 9:05am EST. The Full Moon perfects at 2:39pm EST, a perfect Sun/Moon opposition on the Cancer/Capricorn polarity. This moon takes place in the early degrees of the signs, with the Sun at 3 degrees Cancer and the Moon at 3 degrees Capricorn. The Capricorn Full Moon is a good time to manifest career goals and work toward our more grounded ambitions. Look back to the New Moon in Capricorn on January 12th. What were you longing for in your financial situation? What seeds were you trying to plant? Whether you are seeing some blossoms on your money tree or are still waiting for the plant to grow, it is a good time to appreciate the things that we have managed to achieve so far. Even if you are far from the full maturation of your goals, try to think of one thing you feel proud of or are grateful for in this realm. It's a great day to give to a charity or to someone in need. This energy of giving is a positive one that aligns us with the frequency of abundance. Saturn and Chiron are in perfect sextile today, exact at 12:27am EST. This is a deeply healing transit that leads through wisdom and the ability to take responsibility for our own health and well being. You may feel called to take steps toward healing yourself or someone you care for that seem to come from an inspired place. It's a time for bravely confronting karmic cycles. You may need to own up to behavior that is contributing to the continued pain in your life. By bravely accepting your role in this, you enter into a stage of maturity that allows you to break free from the blind waves of fate. This doesn't mean you need to handle things alone, just that constantly blaming other people for our misfortunes imprisons us in a locked box with someone else wielding the key. While it takes multiple people to co-create a situation, owning up to your role is the first step toward opening the box's lid and allowing some light to flow in. Don't be afraid to ask friends, family, or professionals for help if needed.
Friday, June 25th ~ The moon is in Capricorn all day, which provides a stable backdrop for our emotions. The day is somewhat more grounded than the past few. Neptune stations retrograde at 3:22pm EST, ticking slowly back through the degrees until December 2nd, when it moves direct. Neptune spends roughly half of every year in retrograde, so it should be a familiar sensation. During this time, the typical fog or illusory feeling of Neptune dissipates a bit. It is easier to see the road we are traveling on, all the way down to the horizon. Neptune stations retrograde at 23 degrees Pisces, the third decan of the sign of the fish, which is ruled over by Pluto. We drop down into the physical plane a little more. Action and reaction is easier to gauge. The asteroid aspects for the week roll on, with Sappho and Pallas still in exact square and Pluto sextiling Pallas. Creativity is more grounded today; it is easier to take an idea and make it manifest, i.e. envisioning a great art piece, lining up all your materials, and bringing it to life on paper.
Saturday, June 26th ~ The moon is in Capricorn to start, turning void for a short window from 8:49am EST until 10:09am EST when it moves into Aquarius. The day is quiet, with no major aspects at all. The Aquarian moon gives us a longing for independence and freedom from restriction. We seek out new ways to approach old problems. The asteroid aspects of the week continue on. The Pluto/Pallas sextile sends us into the higher mind to bring back fresh inspiration. With Pluto's laser focus, we are able to make good on our ideas and intentions.
Sunday, June 27th ~ The moon is in Aquarius all day, a rebellious moon that frees us to ride with the wind. The day begins with Venus moving out of Cancer and into Leo at 12:26am EST. Here in Leo, love is expressed ferociously and generously. The somewhat shy, gentle demeanor of a Venusian Cancer is transformed into all the subtlety of a lion's resounding roar. More on this transit, lasting until July 21st, in today's podcast episode. The moon is unusually active today, making six aspects between 2:29am EST and 3:07pm EST. You may feel pulled in several different directions and have a hard time focusing on one thing. Neptune enters into a trine with asteroid Psyche, which allows us to think in non-linear ways that embrace intuition and imagination. Those with psychic abilities or who are tapped into other dimensions could find the coming week to bring many new insights. Those who are typically more grounded might be able to open their senses up to include the unseen. The Pluto/Pallas sextile continues, a lengthy one which increases the strength of our relationship to the higher self and divine creativity.
