Monday, July 19th ~ We begin the day with the moon in Scorpio, especially active throughout the morning. The impact leads us deep into the internal world. We get lost in thought and daydreams. The moon is void of course from 12:31pm until it enters Sagittarius at 5:08pm EST. The void period sends us out to further expanses and deeper reaches of the imagination. Disconnecting from real world problems may be appealing today. As the moon ingresses the domain of Sagittarius this evening and soon after squares Jupiter, we could feel focused on obtaining freedom. We desire room to grow and will not settle for too many rules and restrictions. The Sun sextiles asteroid Ceres today, which is a gentle aspect that allows us to connect to the energy field of Mother Earth. Soft beds of moss, setting a hand on a tree trunk, or watching the flowers and bees are all ways to meditate on this and absorb the earth frequency into your own.
Tuesday, July 20th ~ We have the moon in expansive Sagittarius all day, which colors today's palette bright and bold. The Sagittarian moon seeks joy and deeper understanding of life through a lens of optimistic possibility. Mercury and Uranus meet in sextile at 5:36am EST, which allows us to think in ways outside of our normal brain activity. The sextile is gentle, which leads us to exciting breakthroughs and sudden flashes of insight but doesn't take over our mind all day long. The moon sextiles Saturn at 11:31am and trines Chiron at 2:30pm EST, which allow us to focus on something in a way that can be cathartic and healing. The Sagittarian moon enjoys multitasking more than single-minded intensity, but the influence of Saturn helps to reign its more wild inclinations in a little. Asteroid Vesta moves into Libra today, where it will be until September 21st. Vesta rules over hearth and home, and in Libra the focus is on harmony, balance, and aesthetic delights. It's a good time to work on improving your home by cleaning, redecorating, or rearranging what is already there. Getting along is important during this time, and working to maintain harmony in your living space will likely feel better than stubbornly refusing to compromise.
Wednesday, July 21st ~ The moon is in Sagittarius for much of the day. The morning shakes us into action, with the moon trining Mars at 10:05am EST. We may feel excited to get moving and get a project underway. The active feeling of the day doesn't seem to slow down at any point; the moon is only void of course for 11 minutes (!) from 6:26pm until 6:37pm EST so we don't slow down to a lull or lose steam. The moon emerges from this extremely brief void and ingresses Capricorn, which puts our focus on progress and achieving tangible results. Venus enters Virgo tonight at 8:36pm EST, where it will be until August 16th. Venus here is somewhat restricted; it shows its love slowly and takes more time to develop. While Venus is transiting Virgo, we could feel more focused on showing our love to others through acts of service. Energy work is especially effective during this time and can help heal old wounds. Be aware of paying too much attention to faults of partners and friends, and finding faults in your own creative output. Do your best to balance feelings of wanting to fix situations or people with noticing and appreciating what is already good about them.
Thursday, July 22nd ~ Happy Leo season! The Sun returns home to Leo at 10:26am EST, where it will be until August 22nd. Leo Season allows the Sun to operate at its fullest capacity of light and warmth. It's time to shine and share your own light with those around you. The moon is in Capricorn all day long, helping to anchor our emotions. The moon squares Chiron at 3:50pm and trines Uranus at 6:25pm EST. We seek forward momentum and may not enjoy looking back at our past. We could feel ready to "graduate" or level up to the next stage. Venus and Jupiter are in opposition today, perfect at 8:44am EST but tangible all day long. This creates a desire to expand in relationships and creative projects. You may wish for fewer limits and restrictions in these areas, or want to grow through your creativity or grow in your relationships. It is nearly impossible to hold yourself back with today's rocket ship-like energy. Zip forward into the futuristic vistas offered up by Jupiter and Uranus today. We are gearing up to tomorrow's Full Moon in Aquarius. More on that then!
Friday, July 23rd ~ The moon is in Capricorn for the majority of the day, void from 12:35pm until it enters Aquarius at 8:12pm EST. We are gearing up for this evening's Full Moon, happening at 1 degrees Aquarius at 10:36pm EST. This Full Moon is the peak of the energy which began back on February 12th during the Aquarius New Moon. Aquarian moon cycles center around the destiny of humanity and raising the collective energy of the earth to a higher level. Think back to February and see what your hopes and dreams were for the Earth and its inhabitants. You may feel inspired to act in service to these ideas over the weekend. This Full Moon also brings the ability to view life as a larger picture, and to see the interconnectedness of things. Asteroids Ceres and Pallas are in sextile today, which connects us to the energy of Mother Earth and the higher creative, divine mind. All of this serves to make this a powerful Full Moon with much potential for diverting the flow of earth's energy into a current of spiritual growth and love. Over the next six months we will continue to refine our intentions in this area. You can consider making a mantra for what you'd like to see more of on Earth. Try to focus on the higher expression rather than something you want removed (i.e. working toward abundance for all rather than focusing on concepts of poverty). The Full Moon energy responds better to this, while the New Moon is useful for diving into the shadow side to transmute it.
Saturday, July 24th ~ We have the moon in Aquarius all day, vibing high as it comes off last night's Full Moon. The moon trines the North Node at 12:13am EST, which helps lead us in the direction of greater destiny. Paths open up that encourage us to grow; this may require taking a bold action to overcome a fear. Mercury and Neptune are in trine at 12:34pm EST, which deepens our compassion for others. This can enhance our intuitive capabilities tenfold (that 12:34 time is quite potent for such an inspired transit as well!). Ceres and Pallas continue their sextile, linking Earth's energy field with the higher creative mind. Mars and asteroid Sappho are in square today through the remainder of the weekend, which can make us aware of others' hang-ups or judgements. Frustration could arise in this area if we pay too much attention to this. Move toward unapologetic self-expression, rather than seeking out an argument.
Sunday, July 25th ~ The moon is in Aquarius almost all day. We may feel rebellious and long to disappear into our own ideas and headspace. Trans-Neptunian planetoid Ixion re-enters Sagittarius today; Ixion is currently retrograde and so was just in Sagittarius back in 2020. Ixion rules over freedom, rebellion, and expressing the self authentically and without apology. In Sagittarius we find these concepts able to really stretch their legs and expand. All of today's energy plays into this idea of a rebel, with or without a cause. You may rebel for "good" reason or you may rebel just to experience the sensation of it. Mars continues to square asterid Sappho, which draws attention to the judgements of others. Today's astrology is having none of this; nobody feels like being pushed around today. The moon is void of course almost the whole day, from 7:14am until it enters Pisces at 11:29pm EST and immediately softens. There could be an emotional release at this point through tears, creative expression, or openhearted words with someone we care about.
