Monday, July 26th ~ Today's astrology is very simple and clear. The moon is in Pisces all day, opposing Venus at 9:04am and later squaring the North Node at 3:50pm EST. We seek out a protective cocoon and could enjoy resting, recuperating and finding asylum. Yesterday's astrology had all the rebellion of the wild west, while today's is more about disappearing under a blanket and watching movies. Go easy on yourself; it is not a great day to push toward achievements or try to force an issue. The feeling of the day is soft and centered around creating safety and nurturance.
Tuesday, July 27th ~ We have the moon in Pisces all day, exploring the more fantastical reaches of Piscean expression. The moon sextiles Uranus at 1:27am EST, which brings in unique visions and connects us to imaginative terrain. Later the Moon conjuncts Neptune at 4:47pm EST, which encourages playing with fantasy and otherworldly ideas. Mercury enters Leo at 9:11pm EST, the domain of the storyteller. Mercury will be here in sunshiny Leo until August 11th. Mercury in Leo is loud, proud, and bold. This placement is all about self-expression. Leo Mercury enjoys talking about oneself or focusing on ideas which enhance the creative expression and refine it to a higher place. The moon moves void of course tonight at 9:13pm EST, where it will be until early tomorrow morning. The whole day seems to exist outside of time, floating in astral space. It is possible to bring back some far out ideas, which color our life in interesting ways as we come back down to Earth.
Wednesday, July 28th ~ The moon is void of course in Pisces until 5:57am EST, when it ingresses Aries. Excitement and energy color the day. We may feel a need to express ourselves or speak up about something that's bothering us. Jupiter, currently retrograde, re-enters Aquarius today at 8:41am EST. Jupiter was previously in Aquarius from December 19th, 2020 until May 13th, 2021. In Aquarius, Jupiter brings sweeping change to humanity. It focuses on expanding technology and our relationship to it. This transit often brings rebellion against tradition and old ways of doing things. We see many global shifts in leadership and the qualities of an ideal leader(s) during this time. Jupiter will be in Aquarius until December 28th, when it moves solidly into Pisces and leaves Aquarius behind for 12 years. For the next five months, we work on expanding the vision of the future for the planet and all its residents. The focus is more on changing what is no longer working. We often see more people speaking out on behalf of marginalized people, and those who cannot speak up for themselves such as animals, children, and the environment. Much can be accomplished with some focus during the short transit of Jupiter in Aquarius. We should be aware of channeling our ideas productively, since sometimes the expansive energy of Jupiter and rebellious energy of Aquarius can lead us to make noise but not take practical measures toward change. Work toward what you wish to see by donating time, money, and raising visibility for groups who are on the frontlines.
Thursday, July 29th ~ The moon is in Aries all day today, sextiling Saturn at 1:53am and conjuncting Chiron at 6:26am EST. We may feel more focused and prefer to gather all our energy into a specific project rather than spreading out our attention. Venus enters into a square with the North Node this morning at 7:39am EST, which draws us closer to those who we feel karmically linked. If a relationship does not have this deeper spiritual component, it could feel more draining today. Mars and Jupiter oppose one another at 11:50am EST, both at 29 degrees of Leo and Aquarius, respectively. This is a highly intense aspect which can lead to taking a major risk or impulsive decision. You may feel drawn to leap into something without much thought or consideration. Mars shifts into Virgo at 4:32pm EST, which will lessen this urgent feeling. Mars in Virgo is much more rooted in physical possibility, and in what is tangible and real. Mars will be here until September 14th; during this time we may find our energy levels more consistent and with less highs and lows. We will have more impetus to work towards those projects which are grounded and provide clear results. Gardening is an example of this; physical work and effort yields something you can enjoy with all your senses.
Friday, July 30th ~ We begin the day with the moon in fiery Aries, complementing the Sun in fellow fire sign Leo. Our emotions are likely to be passionate today, as the moon squares Pluto at 6:43am and sextiles Jupiter later on at 3:37pm EST. Feelings expand and may feel all encompassing. Joyful emotions reverberate into the highest harmonic resonance, while darker emotions lead us into seemingly never ending trap doors. You can redirect your emotion by listening to music or meditating on a color you feel drawn toward. The moon is void of course for a short while this afternoon, from 3:38pm until 4:07pm EST when it ingresses Taurus. The latter half of the day is gentler and softer. Asteroid Eros stations direct after almost three months of retrograde motion. Eros rules over love and sex; the last three months of retrograde worked toward integrating past blocks or lessons relating to romance and sexual relationships. With Eros resuming its forward motion, we can begin to move into new terrain here and heal some of the past shadows which may have arisen during this time.
Saturday, July 31st ~ Today we have the moon in Taurus, reaching its Last Quarter at 9:15am EST. The Last Quarter is a call to reflect on the past few weeks of the moon cycle, and to begin to turn toward inward study and understanding. The moon is quite active today, so we might feel as though we have conflicting emotions or thoughts. The best way to handle this is by getting grounded. Taurean moons love to get outside or feel as though they are really inhabiting their body by utilizing all the senses. This will help to quiet and calm an overactive brain. The Sun enters a sextile with the North Node tonight at 5:37pm EST, which aligns us with our purpose and possibility. This might be very obvious or more subtle; what you are drawn to in a magnetic fashion is likely to hold some key to unlocking the next stage of development. Mars enters into a conjunction with asteroid Psyche, and is currently squaring planetoid Ixion, on the outer reaches of the solar system. These transits encourage us to connect with our inner self and follow it above all else. This may require rebellion of some kind. Oppositions could arise from outside sources; remember that all of this is a mirror to reconnect you to your higher self.
Sunday, August 1st ~ The moon is grounded in Taurus all day today, forming gentle transits throughout the afternoon. Today's astrology is quite positive, though there is a lot happening. Mercury and the North Node meet in sextile at 2:35am EST which brings in ideas and inspiration that lead us toward our karmic purpose. We may feel drawn to communicate through writing, speech, or reaching out to someone important. The Sun and Mercury meet in conjunction at 10:07am EST. This Mercury Cazimi occurs at 9 degrees Leo, in the decan ruled by the Sun. This kicks off the third of four Mercury phases in a Mercury cycle which began back on June 10th. Ideas which were merely seeds back in June are now beginning to align with our outer reality. While the first phase (June 10th - June 22nd) was about new ideas and inspiration, and the second phase (June 22nd - August 1st) was about developing these ideas and troubleshooting them, this third phase (lasting until September 27th) is about sharing them with others. We "go live" with our idea and allow it to be seen and experienced by other people. Whether this is a literal project or idea, or some new way of being that we are starting to feel more comfortable expressing to other people, it is now a time to feel the balance between our inner and outer expression. In addition, asteroid Ceres moves into Gemini today. Ceres rules over Mother Earth and its animal and plant life. In Gemini, we may feel an increased level of communication between ourselves and these kingdoms. We may also feel compelled to learn more about them, or to talk with others about protecting them. Ceres will be in Gemini until December 22nd.
