Weekly Forecast: 10/4/21 through 10/10/21

Monday, October 4th ~ Today is quite simple astrologically, which is nice as the upcoming week brings a lot of celestial changes and movement. Take some time to breathe in the air and rest and relax. The moon is in Virgo all day, and seeks order and understanding. The day begins with a trine from the moon to Uranus at 5:18am EST, which allows us to come at problems with a fresh perspective. Later in the day, the moon opposes Neptune at 5:47pm and trines Pluto at 11:03pm EST. The imagination expands our concept of what is possible. Pluto's influence allows for change to come through at precisely the right moment. Trust in the process and see what unfolds.

Tuesday, October 5th ~ We begin our busy astrological week with asteroid Psyche ingressing Virgo. Psyche rules over the brain, mental health, and ways of organizing and storing information. As Virgo tends to be quite mentally oriented, Psyche is happy here. We are capable of learning a lot during this time, and retaining information for study or personal enjoyment. Be aware that it may be more difficult to turn the mind off once it is excited by what it's taking in. Psyche will be here in Virgo until August 2022, so this is a lengthy transit which brings about shifts in the way we retain information as a collective. Today we have the moon in Virgo to begin, sextiling Venus at 4:46am and then moving void of course for about four hours. These early morning hours allow a gentler shift into the day. We are likely to feel tender and enjoy caring for those around us. The moon ingresses Libra at 8:41am EST, which turns our attention outward even more. Socializing becomes a bit more attractive. The moon trines the North Node at 1:26pm EST, which unites us with those who can help us on our karmic path. Pay attention to those you encounter today, and think about deeper meanings for your being brought together. Tonight the moon trines Saturn at 8:15pm EST, a transit that is great for concentration and focus. We are gearing up for tomorrow morning's New Moon in Libra, beginning a fresh macro moon cycle on the Libra axis. More tomorrow!

Wednesday, October 6th ~ Happy New Moon in Libra! The New Moon perfects at 7:05am EST as the Sun and Moon meet in conjunction. This kicks off a brand new year long macro moon cycle on the Libra axis. Here, we are called to think about what changes we'd like to see in our relationships. The dark moon phase today and the two days to follow is ideal for turning inward, and letting the black velvet of the New Moon envelop you. You may notice that you are more sensitive to conflict or problems in relationships during this time. Use these feelings to get intentional about what you'd like to see shift in this arena. Today, the moon also opposes Chiron at 2:18am, conjuncts Mars at 8:03am, conjuncts Mercury at 5:39pm, and trines Jupiter at 10:08pm EST. It is a very busy lunar day and so we may feel like our emotions are shifting constantly. Outbursts of passion could occur. The moon will be in the second decan of Libra today, ruled by Uranus. This brings a desire to experience new things and to lift stagnation in our relationships. Whatever intentions you put out there will reach the peak of their fulfilment in the spring, during the Libra Full Moon, and continue to grow until next autumn when the cycle begins again. You can be very specific about your intentions or more general, such as "I would like my relationships to bring me joy and uplift me". Finally, Pluto stations direct at 2:28pm EST. Pluto's retrograde ending pulls us up from the shadow realm. During the planet's yearly retrograde it becomes much easier to see our own shadow self and that of others. It is harder to hide from this aspect of ourselves. Now that the retrograde is over, it becomes somewhat cloaked again. However, it is still important to work to integrate these lessons so that next year we don't get hit hard by them when the retrograde starts once again. We can do this by learning to embrace and forgive our shadow, and work to unify it into our consciousness.

Thursday, October 7th ~ Today we begin with the moon in Libra, squaring Pluto at 1:03am EST before moving void of course until late morning. We could feel somewhat rebellious, and seek out common alliances with others that provide us protection from authority. Commiserating with friends and family brings relief. At 7:20am EST, Venus ingresses Sagittarius, where it will be until November 5th. We find that during this time, we desire more joy and lightness in relationships. Coming out of heavy Scorpio, it is a bit like stepping into the light after a dark winter. Freedom becomes crucial; relationships that inhibit this will seem more unbearable this month. We find ourselves looking for higher meaning through relationships, and also through creativity. Inspired pieces can be crafted this month, provided we aren't boxed in with too much routine and logic. At 10:22am EST, the moon's void ends as it enters Scorpio. At 9:37pm EST this evening, the moon squares Saturn. These shifts continue the feeling of rebellion that began this morning. We may feel like stepping away from responsibilities. Moodiness could arise if things feel too planned out, with no room for surprises. Allow yourself some space for magic to unfold.

Friday, October 8th ~ The moon is in the far reaches of Scorpio all day, perhaps the most introverted of all the moon signs. Despite this, the lunar transits are more extroverted, so we are being forced out of our comfort zone into the public sphere. We begin with the Sun entering a conjunction with Mars at 12:00am EST. This is a highly energetic transit that we will feel all day and into the next night. Passions are high and we may feel ramped up and ready to go. The moon opposes Uranus at 8:59am EST, which casts a strange energy on the morning. We strive to see things from a different perspective, and may search out the bizarre and unusual to gain inspiration. Tonight, the moon trines Neptune at 8:52pm and squares Jupiter at 11:03pm EST. Imagination is a guiding force this evening. We find our compassion is given an opportunity to deepen. It is easy to feel somewhat removed from ourselves and pulled into the energy field of others. The restlessness from earlier carries over, and we could feel a little scattered or all over the place. Grounding is a good idea; physical exercise or time in nature are ways to achieve this.

Saturday, October 9th ~ Today is ridiculously busy in the sky. It's one of those days where so much is happening that it might feel like a cosmic soup. We begin with asteroid Ceres stationing retrograde in Gemini. Ceres rules over plants, animals, and the ecology of the planet. Here we may be asked to rethink our relationship to these kingdoms. We may have to confront past choices and come up with new ways to interact with our flora and fauna friends. The moon is void of course from 2:06am until 11:24am EST when it enters Sagittarius. The void gives us a slow start to the day, which is helpful in allowing a recoup of energy. Once the moon is in Sagittarius we feel more ready to go. The Sun and Mercury meet in conjunction at 12:18pm EST, which brings a spark of inspiration. A fresh idea is likely to come in, or a new way of viewing a familiar situation. At 3:11pm EST Venus conjuncts the South Node, which connects us to people from the past or even from past lives. It's a good day to do a past life regression or to spend time with those who feel like soul family. The moon also conjuncts the South Node at 3:34pm EST, doubling down on this energy and bringing in an emotional component to memories expounded. Then, the moon and Venus conjunct two minutes later at 3:36pm EST. This potent energy allows us a chance to see how love can transform over the ages and how it never really leaves us. Finally, Mercury and Mars meet in conjunction at 6:48pm EST. It is truly a day of conjunctions! This final transit ignites the brain and gives us the drive to share, either through writing, speech, or putting an idea to action.

Sunday, October 10th ~ We have the moon in Sagittarius all day, creating a desire to fly free and dissolve structures. When the moon is in the sign of the archer, we enjoy the freedom to create the day on our own and lean into it like an adventure, rather than having every little detail planned out. The moon trines Chiron at 4:27am EST, which allows us to heal through exploration and action. We may find that going for a hike or similar adventure brings us a deeper feeling of oneness or clarity. The moon sextiles Mercury at 12:49pm and then sextiles Mars at 3:11pm EST. These aspects allow us to feel more self-confident and dive into an action with ease. The moon enters its Waxing Crescent phase at 4:44pm EST as the Sun and Moon meet in sextile. This phase allows some light in to the dark moon, and gives us a glimmer of hope in some arena of our lives. The moon then squares Neptune at 10:16pm EST. We choose to look at things through rose colored glasses and may purposefully avoid something that is perceived to be unpleasant. It is okay to focus on the positive but remember that you are perfectly capable of handling whatever comes your way. Remind yourself of your strength and courage and know that you can deal with problems while still remaining centered in who you are. Tonight, Saturn retrograde ends at 10:17pm EST. The ringed planet stations direct at 6 degrees Aquarius, and now begins to truck forward through the degrees. With Saturn direct again, we find that heavy karmic lessons are put on the back burner for the time being. This doesn't mean they go away, just that we may not need to confront them at the moment. We can achieve more measurable, tangible progress while Saturn is direct. When it is retrograde we may find that external factors keep getting in the way. Remember that Saturn does not bring up lessons just for the fun of it, or as a kind of punishment. Saturn doles out karma based on what each soul needs in order to evolve. It carries a long view, seeing the soul as an infinite being rather than something limited to one lifetime. By doing the work of personal evolution, we help all beings toward the road to enlightenment. Enlightenment is not a static stage of completion, but an ongoing process toward unity and wholeness. As Saturn continues its forward motion, consider what lessons came up for you over the past four and a half months (Saturn Rx began May 23rd). What were you trying to accomplish, and what seemed to get in your way? What is this possibly trying to reveal to you? Sit in meditation or with a journal and see what comes up. Trust your instincts and write or ponder whatever flows through you.
