Weekly Forecast: 12/13/21 through 12/19/21

Monday, December 13th ~ Today is an active day in the cosmos. We have the moon in fiery Aries all day, providing ample inspiration and drive to tackle projects. Mars ingresses Sagittarius at 4:52am EST, where it will be until January 25th. Mars enjoys this placement, as it allows for more expansion and freedom of expression. We may notice increased feelings of wanderlust and restless energy during this time. Adventure and physical challenges which involve us exploring new terrain will be quite appealing. The Sun and Moon trine at 11:03am EST, initiating the moon into its Waxing Gibbous phase. This is a buoyant and optimistic time which makes us feel excited and ready for the next stage. Mercury ingresses Capricorn at 12:52pm EST, joining Venus and Pluto in this sign. Mercury is direct and dry in Capricorn, with a witty sense of humor that sneaks up on you. This transit lasts through January 2nd, and provides us with a desire for clear and concise communication. Interactions thrive if they get to the point and are not cushioned with too much emotional concern. The moon squares Pluto at 6pm, squares Venus at 7:02pm, and sextiles Jupiter at 9:02pm EST before moving void of course until tomorrow morning. This series of aspects sends us on private missions to have fun and enjoy ourselves outside of what others might expect. We may feel resentful of having to team up with other people and instead prefer to go it on our own, at least for the evening.

Tuesday, December 14th ~ The moon is void of course until 3:10am EST, as it ingresses Taurus. In Taurus, the moon provides us with a focus on emotional security. We seek out comfort and familiarity. The moon trines Mercury in Capricorn at 5:19am EST, which allows us to share ideas and connect with others in a harmonious way. There are no more aspects until tonight at 11:36pm EST, when the moon squares Saturn. This transit has a two-pronged effect: we don't feel like doing work or taking on responsibilities, but at the same time feel guilty if we're not working. Try to find the balance by getting something done and then allowing yourself time to rest after.

Wednesday, December 15th ~ We have the moon in romantic Taurus all day, giving us a need to enjoy sensual comforts such as good food, drink, or comfortable, luxe items of clothing. The moon conjuncts Uranus this morning at 1:50am EST, which can make our emotions rather changeable from moment to moment. This effect only lasts for a few hours; if you are asleep during this time you may have a medley of dreams with entirely different feels. The sky is quiet until later in the day. Mars conjuncts the South Node of the moon at 3:12pm EST; this coupled with the Taurean placement of the moon sends us running and hiding in our comfort zones. You may revert back to behavior that has offered you comfort in the past, or maybe even people who have done so. Some may feel a strong pull toward their ancestors or past lives today and tomorrow. It can be challenging to break away from the past, but going too far in this direction can cause regressions. Be inspired by and grateful to your past, but try not to live inside of it. The moon sextiles Neptune tonight at 8:20pm EST, a gentle aspect which expands our compassion and sympathy for others. Tender-hearted connections are likely to be at the forefront of our minds.

Thursday, December 16th ~ The day begins with the moon in Taurus, trining Pluto at 6:28m and trining Venus at 8:14am EST. Hard work and discipline seems appealing this morning, and we are not afraid to take on a challenge if it can move us in the right direction. The moon squares Jupiter at 11:08am EST, which can cause us to put too much on our plate. We may feel compelled to help others even if it puts us out. The moon moves void of course from 11:09am until 3:42pm EST when it ingresses Gemini. We could feel like this four hour window is a black hole; where did the time go? It is a good period for locking into a groove and getting repetitive work done. The moon conjuncts the North Node at 7:11pm and opposes Mars at 8:55pm EST. The evening is a space of curiosity and desire for information. We may need to acquire data which will help us on our karmic journeys; pay attention to what you feel hungry to know tonight.

Friday, December 17th ~ Today is extremely simple astrologically. The moon is in Gemini all day, building toward tomorrow night's Full Moon. Anticipation grows and leaves us feeling restless; some may find this exciting while others could feel a bit nervous. The moon sextiles Chiron at 8:52am EST, giving us an opportunity to heal thoughts and ideas which have been keeping us locked in the same place. Much of this happens through sharing with others. The moon trines Saturn at 12:57pm EST; we take responsibility for our mental health today in some manner. We may be asked to help others by lending an ear or providing advice of some type.

Saturday, December 18th ~ We have the moon in mercurial Gemini all day, building toward fullness. The moon squares Neptune this morning at 9:23am EST; imagination offers relief. We desire to explore theoretical situations and ideas and may buck against more practical pursuits. Allow yourself to enjoy! Mercury and Chiron square tonight at 9:35pm EST, though we feel this all day long and into tomorrow morning. A difficult conversation may need to happen. Something that has been holding you back needs to be set free. As Mercury is currently in Capricorn, being clear, direct, and honest is your best bet. Sugarcoating the truth will make everyone involved more confused in the end. Tonight the Full Moon perfects at 11:35pm EST. This Gemini Full Moon is connected to the macro moon cycle which began on June 10th. Desires that were felt back then are now coming to fruition. The Gemini axis centers around information, mental health, and communication. It is a good time to invite in clarity of thought and expression. These desires continue to unfold through Gemini season of 2022.

Sunday, December 19th ~ We begin with the moon in Gemini, trining Jupiter at 1:02am EST and then moving void of course for a few hours. We feel more adventurous and expansive, ready to explore and learn new things. The void period lasts until 4:41am EST as the moon ingresses Cancer. You could very well find yourself wanting to do this exploring from a safe place, like your home. I am reminded of the George Harrison lyric: "Without going out of my door, I can know all things on earth". Venus stations retrograde in Capricorn this morning at 5:35am EST; this will last until January 29th. As Venus only retrogrades every 2 years, we will feel this quite intensely. This particular period will cause us to fixate on the security and function of our relationships. Are they working as they should? How do they appear from the outside? Are they helping us to attain our goals? Some desire increased stability in partnerships while others reject such commitments entirely. Listen to my Pisces Rising podcast episode out tomorrow 12/20 for a deep dive into this retrograde and how it will impact you based on your own Venus placement. Chiron stations direct today at 11:32am EST, after a retrograde that began on July 16th. During the past five months, we may have unconsciously been triggered and felt past wounds that have not healed. This experience was not meant to hurt or torture us, but rather to draw our attention to unhealed parts of us that require our conscious intention. Now that Chiron is direct, we can work on integrating these lessons. The Sun sextiles Jupiter at 7:31pm EST, a benefic aspect that we have felt all day. This encourages generosity of spirit and makes for a more optimistic and infectiously joyful attitude. The moon squares Chiron tonight at 9:44pm EST to round out the day. We feel a need to turn off from heavy healing work and enjoy ourselves in some form or fashion.
