Monday, January 24th ~ Today the moon is in Libra to kick off the day, making harmony and balance the biggest priority. Mars enters Capricorn at 7:52am EST, where it will be until March 6th. Mars is considered in exaltation here, able to function at a high level. The energy of Capricorn is future-oriented and based around building something brick by brick. Mars gives fuel to this and allows for action to be taken which leads to constructive change. While these shifts are underway, they are not happening as rapidly but in a slow and steady manner. The moon squares Pluto at 5:09pm EST before moving void of course for about five and a half hours. We could feel some resistance to change in interpersonal relationships during this time. The void ends as the moon ingresses Scorpio at 10:57pm; it then sextiles Mars at 11:47pm EST. Passion increases and we find ourselves compelled toward emotional intensity. This acts as a catalyst for new beginnings and necessary evolvement.
Tuesday, January 25th ~ The moon is in Scorpio all day, beginning by squaring Mercury at 12:50am EST. Intense thoughts arise in the early portion of the morning, allowing for deep focus at best and potential obsession at worst. The moon enters its Last Quarter phase at 8:40am EST, squaring the Sun and bringing a desire to pull inward to examine the events which transpired over the past moon cycle. A trine between the moon and Jupiter at 9:01am EST creates a more expansive energy that somewhat contradicts the other transits. While we feel a need to pull away from others, we also feel compelled to continue experiencing life and gaining inspiration and ideas that come from our social interactions. The moon opposes Uranus later in the day at 5:52pm and sextiles Venus at 6:41pm EST. This succession of aspects softens us and deepens levels of compassion, but also makes us yearn to break out of an established routine. Tonight, Mercury's retrograde takes it back into Capricorn at 10:04pm EST. For the next week and a half, we may find ourselves having to navigate past problems at our jobs or school. It could feel like deja vu in a sense, as if we are handling something we thought we already dealt with. The events correspond specifically to those that occurred December 28th through January 2nd. Having been through this energy before, we are likely to have more awareness this time around.
Wednesday, January 26th ~ We have another full day of the moon in Scorpio, bringing emotional intensity and a desire to understand things from the deepest level possible. The moon squares Saturn at 12:41am and trines Neptune at 11:47am EST; we prefer to slip away into possibilities outside the realm of physical reality. Responsibilities might make us feel heavy and drained. Mercury trines the North Node at 2:28pm EST, giving us a second chance to examine a choice we made around the turn of the new year. We could find ourselves more willing to communicate this time around. The moon sextiles Pluto at 9:09pm EST, creating a deep need to transform through a thorough understanding of the self at a core level.
Thursday, January 27th ~ We begin the day with the Scorpio moon sextiling retrograde Mercury at 12:27am EST. This is a softer transit that brings a desire to share ideas with others, particularly those of a more emotional or esoteric nature. The moon is void of course from 12:28am until it enters Sagittarius at 2:34am EST. Rigid feelings open up at this point and allow for more joy to enter in. The moon squares Jupiter at 1:01pm EST, which can possibly make us go overboard in the way we express ourselves. We could move in search of a high, preferring to avoid or ignore those things which don't excite us. The Sun sextiles the moon at 3:46pm EST and initiates its Waning Crescent phase. This activates an inner wisdom deep inside of many, allowing for a higher philosophical view of a situation. The moon trines Chiron at 5:50pm EST to round off the day's transits. This is a healing aspect and gifts us the ability to see our emotional landscape as if from above, but with deep compassion rather than dissociation.
Friday, January 28th ~ The moon is in jovial Sagittarius all day; we seek out adventure and strive to push through self-containing limits. A sextile between the moon and Saturn at 3:39am EST creates a need to expand and move in the direction of evolution, but in a more focused and disciplined manner. The moon squares Neptune at 1:59pm EST and then moves void of course for over fourteen hours. This void period is like a slipstream. Some could act out of character, or opt to disappear without warning. The Sun sextiles Chiron at 9:57pm EST, though we feel this transit all day long. This is a gently heling transit that acts like a sunbeam, warming us from the inside out. Divine love is in reach, if we are able to open ourselves up to accept and see it. Finally, Mercury and Pluto meet in conjunction at 11:16pm EST. This is the detective's aspect. It brings a sharp, perceptive eye and ability to see below the surface to notice the smallest details. We seek out the truth in all that we do today. Lies or even omissions will be easier to see through this evening.
Saturday, January 29th ~ It will likely come as a huge relief for many that Venus stations direct at 3:45am EST. Venus goes retrograde every year and a half, and its influence can often be more personal than any other planetary retrograde period. This is because Venus rules over the emotional world, our relationships, and our ability to appreciate and take in beauty and gratitude. When this restricts during the retrograde (and particularly because Venus is presently in Capricorn, one of the more incompatible placements for Venus), we find it challenging to feel love and can act out or cut ourselves off from what is there. With Venus now stationed direct, we are able to reassess and see relationships from a place of greater clarity. The moon's lengthy void period ends at 4:08am EST as it enters Capricorn, then later conjuncts Mars at 10:10am and sextiles Jupiter at 3:03pm EST. We feel focused and determined to take action, however this is intentional and far from reckless. The moon squares Chiron at 7:04pm and trines Uranus at 9:47pm EST. We prefer to focus on the future and all its shimmering possibility; having to be reminded of the past or traumatic blocks can leave us feeling a bit annoyed. Finally, the moon enters a conjunction with Venus at 10:09pm EST to close out the day. This transit is the capper of the Venus Rx energy, and is a bit like a film being pulled off of our eyes. What can you see, now that the block is gone?
Sunday, January 30th ~ The moon is in grounded Capricorn all day and allows for fertile seeds to be planted. Results may not come right away, but with tending, they will begin the process of germination. The Sun and Uranus square at 2:31pm EST, though this energy is palpable all day long. This creates a strong need for change, and can make some a bit unpredictable as they seek out ways to shake up the status quo. It is a rebellious feeling that makes many want to stand up to authority and turn away from traditions. The moon conjuncts Mercury at 9:25pm and then conjuncts Pluto at 11:43pm EST before moving void of course until tomorrow. Our intuition is collectively quite strong tonight. Trust gut feelings and allow them to guide you forward.
