Monday, February 14th ~ The Cancer moon opposes Pluto at 1:06am and sextiles its North Node at 1:23am EST to begin the day. This gives us an enhanced desire to move toward our goals no matter what obstacles may arise. These goals are particularly heart or emotionally centered, as colored in through the lens of Cancer. The moon opposes Mercury at 5:26am and then moves void of course for a little over 45 minutes, until it enters Leo at 6:17am EST. We might feel expressive and wish to blow off steam. Once the moon arrives in Leo, we feel generous and wish to share with others. We seek out appreciation through giving it. Self-confidence goes far today. Pluto trines the North Node at 4:16pm EST. This transit has been building for the last week and a half and we will continue to feel it for the next week or two. It is opening up a strong vibration which compels us to transform ourselves no matter the cost. We are shedding things which no longer serve us to make room for a higher way of being. The trine ensures that we are growing toward our karmic potential, as long as we are allowing the transformations to occur. They require little direction from us save for the wielding of our intention. Finally, Mercury enters Aquarius at 4:53pm EST, where it will be until March 9th. This placement works well for Mercury, who can zip around unimpeded in the sign of the water bearer. We may find our brainstorming abilities increasing during this period. Tuesday, February 15th ~ The moon is in warm-hearted Leo all day, creating a need to express ourselves fully without holding back. The Leo moon trines Chiron at 1:26am and squares Uranus at 3:55am EST; we find our emotions a bit raw and unpredictable. Let them fly! By allowing yourself to share, you make room for healing energy to find you. The moon opposes Saturn later in the day at 3:38pm and the Sun squares the moon's North Node at 4:08pm EST. We could find it difficult to focus on work and prefer to play and have fun, or else we wish to distract ourselves in some manner. Heavy levels of responsibility feel especially stifling under today's skies. Connect with your inner child by treating yourself to something which brings joy. Asteroid Pallas, ruler of the higher creative mind, enters Aries today. It will be here until April 30th. We find a spark of inspiration for a new project over the next two months. Working on fresh, novel ideas will be more satisfying than revisiting past concepts or slogging through existing ones. Energy is unbounded and almost infinite seeming when it comes to these new ideas.
Wednesday, February 16th ~ The moon is in Leo to begin the day, its light growing steadily as we approach this morning's Full Moon. Venus and Mars enter a conjunction in Aquarius at 9:28am EST, a potent transit which brings a meeting and blending of duality and equal parts loaded passion. The intense passion is based around the mind and shared spiritual vision. We could feel increased sensuality and a need to meld with someone else's energy field. The moon squares the North Node at 10:02am EST, suggesting there is some slight fear around leveling up and doing what we have to in order to reach the next stage. The Full Moon peaks at 11:56am EST, with the Aquarius Sun opposing the Leo Moon. This takes place in the third decan of each sign, ruled by Venus and Mars. Again, we feel the potency of these yin and yang- based planets. We seek out a complement to our energy. This Full Moon brings along a manifestation related to creativity and self-expression, one that began during last year's Leo season. We are beginning to see the seeds we planted back then bear fruit. The moon is void of course from 11:57am until 3:42pm EST, when it enters Virgo. The day shifts to be more grounded, and our concentration deepens. We could feel more humble and wish to connect with the Earth through nature.
Thursday, February 17th ~ The moon is in Virgo all day; we try to find ways to organize our thoughts and emotions in order to feel steady and stable. The moon opposes Jupiter at 12:26pm and trines Uranus at 12:32pm EST, as we build up to tonight's Jupiter/Uranus sextile. These planets rule the day and bring along a need to break out of our routine and try something new. The Virgo moon finds this a bit daunting as it enjoys stability and some measure of control. However, we are letting all this fly out the window. Jupiter and Uranus sextile at 7:12pm EST, and we continue to feel the influence of this transit through the weekend. Joy has no limit; we want to celebrate and explore in whatever way we can. Some may act out of character, breaking out of self-imposed limitations. The theme of this aspect is freedom, particularly the freedom to feel and experience happiness in its many glittering facets.
Friday, February 18th ~ Happy Pisces Season! Today begins with the Virgo moon trining Venus at 12:46am and trining Mars at 1:13am EST. These transits create a strong pull toward sensuality and exploring harmony though our relationship to another person. We could feel increased physical passion and desire. The moon opposes Neptune at 8:22am EST which activates the imagination. Daydreaming is likely, and might make it challenging to focus on practical matters. The Sun enters Pisces at 11:42am EST, initiating the season of mutable water. Pisces is deep and intuitive, ruled by the desire to merge with all that is. The wisdom of this sign creates a strong pull toward higher realms, but can make us feel out of sorts on the physical plane. The moon trines the North Node at 4:30pm and trines Pluto at 6:19pm EST, before moving void of course for four and a half hours. This intensifies focus and allows us to find a groove with our work. The moon's void dissolves as it enters Libra at 10:50pm EST. Compassion and love enter the atmosphere with the Sun now in Pisces and the moon in Libra.
Saturday, February 19th ~ The moon is in romantic Libra all day, enhancing our eye for beauty and artistry. We might feel compelled to work on completing a collection. Flirtatious feelings are likely as the moon meets Mercury in trine at 7:18am EST; we enjoy banter with others but might not wish to go too deep in our playful communication. The moon opposes Chiron at 4:58pm EST. Be mindful that you are not avoiding a problem which needs your attention. The Jupiter/Uranus sextile currently in the sky, plus the Pisces Sun coupled with this Chiron transit can make us prefer to escape rather than deal with something pressing. Giving a little attention to the issue will ensure you do not feel overwhelmed later on.
Sunday, February 20th ~ Today is very simple astrologically, with only two transits in the sky. The moon is in Libra all day, trining Saturn at 6:45am and squaring Mars at 10:25am EST. These two aspects give us inspiration to work on an artistic project; however, it could take us longer than normal to complete. Saturn requires intense focus and discipline while Mars' square slows outward progress. The rest of the day is devoid of aspects, although we still feel the effects of the Pluto/North Node trine which hit earlier this week. We feel the need to transform, and are magnetically pulled in the direction of our karmic evoluton.
