Monday, February 7th ~ Today the moon is in Taurus all day, providing a desire to obtain security through our physical surroundings. The moon sextiles Jupiter at 10:57am EST, a transit which expands our perception and allows for greater emotional experience. We may notice an increased need to indulge the senses. The moon trines Mars at 2:12pm and conjuncts Uranus at 3:22pm EST; feelings swell up and we may act on them rather impulsively. The trine energy between Mars and the moon softens this and acts as a guide, so that our behavior ultimately has a higher purpose. The last transit of the day comes at 7:00pm EST when the moon trines Venus, presently in Capricorn. This enhances artistic expression and allows for a greater outpouring of love and harmony.
Tuesday, February 8th ~ The moon is exalted in Taurus for another full day. Our emotions are fertile and spongey; we could be more sensitive today or at the very least notice the slightest discomfort more easily and seek to correct it. The moon squares Saturn at 2am and then squares the Sun at 8:50am EST, ushering in the First Quarter phase. We feel ready to begin the next phase and could experience some slight anxiety about not being there quite yet. Remember to ground in and enjoy the process as much as you can. Mars and Uranus meet in trine at 9:57am EST, though we feel this aspect all day and throughout the remainder of the week. This amplifies physical energy and can make us take sudden, impulsive action. The trine ensures this is somewhat guided by divine timing. The less you try to control or stifle your own energy, the more the actions will be in line with higher unfoldment. The moon is busy for the rest of the day, sextiling Neptune at 12:39pm, trining Mercury at 8:48pm and trining Pluto at 11:47pm EST before moving void of course until tomorrow. Connecting in to our intuition is easier tonight; the channels are open and flowing. We could feel an intense inner knowing and maybe even a healthy obsession that leads us in the direction of where we are needed next.
Wednesday, February 9th ~ The void moon conjuncts the North Node in Taurus at 1:11am EST, opening up a sort of portal to possibility. Doors open in surprising places and provide an opening to a higher calling. The moon's void ends at 5:26am EST as it slips into Gemini. Curiosity abounds. We could feel lighter and less bogged down by weighty emotion. Asteroid Ceres also enters Gemini today, where it will be until May 15th. Ceres rules over Mother Earth and the plant and animal kingdoms. In Gemini, we find it easier to commune with the flora and fauna in a telepathic manner. We may need to speak up on their behalf, or respond to their needs if we are lucky enough to be one of those who can hear. The Gemini energy of the day is palpable. Our minds will be buzzing with ideas and intrigue. It is better to bounce from project to project today; focusing deeply on one thing will be nearly impossible.
Thursday, February 10th ~ The moon is in airy Gemini all day, making it easier to see and feel all sides of a situation. This can expand our empathy, if we allow it to. The moon squares Jupiter at 12:28am and sextiles Chiron at 1:01am EST. Go easy on yourself; you don't need to get everything done at once. These transits remind us to take life in bite sized pieces today. Jupiter's call will likely enhance our appetite for life, but Chiron acts as a steadying influence. The moon trines Saturn at 3:20pm EST; a conversation or important communication takes place this afternoon which brings a feeling of responsibility and honor.
Friday, February 11th ~ We have the moon in Gemini to begin the day, squaring Neptune at 1:43am and then trining the Sun at 3:22am EST to usher in its Waxing Gibbous phase. As the moon continues to grow in light, we begin to turn our attention to manifestation of creative ideas and the fulfilment of desires. The square to Neptune can make us too focused on logical details; consider thinking about the finished product and how it will look in your life rather than worrying too much about how you will arrive there, at least for today. The moon is void of course from 3:23am EST until early evening. Mercury and Pluto enter a conjunction in Capricorn at 9:04am EST which we feel all day and even overnight. This transit brings a deep concentration and ability to read below the surface. We may have sharper perception and keen intuition, but this transit can cause obsessive thoughts and a need to understand things as quickly as possible. This impatience can actually impede us in learning, so it is a bit of a catch 22. The void period ends at 6:26pm EST as the moon enters Cancer. The moon is home here, and so we feel an emotional release which allows us to experience the idea of 'home', either tangibly or as a palpable sensation.
Saturday, February 12th ~ The moon is in its domicile of Cancer all day, creating warmth and a desire to stick close to home or to those who remind us of it. Mercury trines the North Node at 1:38am EST, though we feel this transit and its effects all day. This initiates important communications and the flow of information which can impact our destiny in positive ways. Pay attention to who reaches out to you today, and who you feel compelled to speak with. The moon squares Chiron later at 2:06pm EST; this amplifies tension in the inner world. We may wish to speak with a loved one or share feelings to allow for release. The moon trines Jupiter at 2:34pm and sextiles Uranus at 4:49pm EST. These are positive aspects which open up the heart and bring feelings of warmth and acceptance. We may notice excitement building and some measure of unpredictability which ultimately feels exciting. Tonight the moon opposes Mars at 11:21pm EST; some notice a pervading moodiness or grouchy attitude which follows them around. This can be released through taking personal space and appreciating time on your own.
Sunday, February 13th ~ The astrology is relatively simple today. We have a second full day of the moon in Cancer, casting feelings of warmth and compassion. The moon opposes Venus at 12:45am EST which can make us appreciate loved ones more from afar for the first half of the day. Spending time around others can leave us feeling drained and a bit perturbed. This breaks up around noon EST. Later, the moon trines Neptune at 2:15pm EST which enhances imagination. Spiritual vibrations are high and offer strengthened telepathic connection and merging of energies. Creativity peaks around this time. The rest of the day is quiet with no major aspects. We ride high on the positive waves of universal love that pour in under this Cancer moon.
