Monday, May 9th ~ The day starts off with the Leo moon squaring its North Node at 4:27am EST, which can result in creative tension and a marked need to be artistic at any cost. Self-expression being squashed can leave us feeling temperamental. The moon goes on to oppose Saturn at 8:38am EST and then moves void of course for over ten hours. Limitations on our time and energy will be more irritating than normal. The void period is good for rest and relaxation, and allowing your inner child to come out and play. The moon ingresses Virgo at 6:53pm EST, and there are no more aspects for the rest of the day. Concentration increases and we seek out ways to ground and connect with the earth element.
Tuesday, May 10th ~ The moon is in earthy Virgo all day today, activating the Mercurial mind and giving some necessary support as Mercury prepares to station retrograde. The moon squares Mercury at 4:09am EST, which can exacerbate overactive thinking and can make our minds move a mile a minute. This transit is helpful when used to dig into a problem which requires a swift solution, but if there is no problem to work on, our brains may very well create one. Give yourself something to chew on. Mercury stations retrograde at 7:47am EST at 4 degrees Gemini. In its home sign, Mercury is strengthened and allows for greater mental reflection during this time. The retrograde lasts through June 2nd, and sees Mercury traveling back into the late degrees of Taurus. Many will find a financial or workplace theme emerging for them during this time. You may need to speak up for yourself, because delays will keep results from occurring at work without a more proactive attitude. The second big transit of the day occurs later on at 7:22pm EST, when Jupiter enters Aries. This immediately brings the fire, and manifestation will occur quicker under this transit. Inspired action leads to creation, and simply sitting around and dreaming will not do while Jupiter is here. You will feel more compelled to go out and craft the reality you would like to be living in. The moon then trines Uranus at 11:27pm EST to close out the day, which shakes up stagnation and allows for necessary shifts in emotions which provide release, excitement, and encouragement for the future.
Wednesday, May 11th ~ We have another full day with the moon in Virgo; it starts things off by opposing Mars at 8:17am and then trining the Sun at 10:01am EST to start its Waxing Gibbous phase. As the light of the moon increases, we feel more ready to emerge into the world and be seen. We may wish for more autonomy and could easily be depleted by the requirements someone else tries to put on us today. The moon trines the North Node at 1:03pm and opposes Neptune at 5:16pm EST. All signs point to go! This is the time to stop getting lost in fantasy and begin to find ways to send those hopes and dreams down from the mental realm here to the physical plane. Action is not only encouraged, it is necessary. The day closes out with a trine between the Moon and Pluto at 11:59pm EST, allowing for deep focus and the ability to step into a leadership role, either at work or in the context of your family or friend group.
Thursday, May 12th ~ The Virgo moon is void of course from 12:00am until 2:34am EST when it enters Libra. Dreams may be cloaked in heavy symbolism during the void period, if you are asleep. Once the moon is in Libra, we could desire closeness with intimate companions - friends, lovers, and the like. The moon opposes Jupiter at 3:01am EST, which can expand our emotions into an all or nothing type of energy. We may feel completely invested in some things and feel a repulsion when it comes to others, and this is where our focus is today. The gray area is not really accessible, which could be quite annoying given that the Libra moon loves balance and finding center. The moon trines retrograde Mercury at 10:54am EST, which allows for conflict mediation and productive discussions in both the workplace and between friends. The day finishes with the moon opposing Venus in Aries at 11:49pm EST. Subtleties in relationships are felt with ease, and any discordance will be all the more noticeable.
Friday, May 13th ~ The moon is in harmony-driven Libra all day today, making us more sociable and interested in pursuing various artistic hobbies. Collectors may feel the itch to add to their array of possessions today. The Sun enters into a conjunction with the North Node in Taurus at 3:06am EST, which presents us with an opportunity to grow and align to our karmic purpose. Taurus reminds us to move slowly and steadily, and to not forget to nourish and respect the physical body in the process. Rest is important, even if it may feel hard to come by with Jupiter now in Aries! The moon opposes Chiron at 4:21am EST, which can make us hide from heavier emotions in favor of something distracting and pleasant. This might work for some, but not all. The moon trines Saturn at 9:53pm EST, which offers some focus and discipline. You may feel the desire to take responsibility for someone you care about, and look after them in some manner.
Saturday, May 14th ~ The day starts with the Libra moon squaring Pluto at 4:07am EST, which creates a rebellious attitude when it comes to authority. Protesting is likely, especially with the Mars transits that are currently building. The moon is void of course from 4:08am until it enters Scorpio at 6:33am EST, which intensifies emotion, intuition, and the desire to see all that is hidden. Mars sextiles the North Node later at 7:30pm EST. This transit adds to the theme of the week, which is inspired action leading to change. It will not do to rest on our laurels; that said, the Taurean North Node encourages us to only act when we have the energy to do so. This is what is meant by inspired action. Don't deplete yourself and your resources just to say you did something. When the energy is there, you will know what to do. Have faith in this, and know that necessary change is on its way.
Sunday, May 15th ~ Today is a busy cosmic day. The moon is in Scorpio all day, which can make us feel more private and guarded. We are in the bright moon phase, building up to tomorrow's Full Moon. The moon opposes Uranus at 8:04am, just before Venus conjuncts Chiron in Aries at 8:12am EST. These transits release a burst of emotion. Relationships act as a springboard for healing and change. Much can be accomplished alongside friends and romantic partners during this time. We may feel more tender and emotional today; it is a good idea to speak about feelings with someone you trust. Trust is the key word here. The Sun squares Saturn at 2:48pm and then sextiles Neptune at 3:14pm EST. These back to back solar transits encourage the imagination to bloom, and restrictions to fall away. This is like receiving the winning card in the deck; this hour or two window is ideal for manifesting as there is little holding us back. The moon conjuncts the South Node in Scorpio at 7:43pm EST, a karmic transit that lifts the veil and allows us to glimpse past lives and hidden memories from early on in this life. The moon goes on to trine Mars at 9:01pm, square Saturn at 11:38pm, and trine Neptune at 11:39pm EST. This series of transits adds to the solar magic from earlier, removing the presence of heavy karma for a brief window and allowing us to connect with our higher selves for divine guidance and inspiration. It is quite a karmic build-up as we move toward the perfection of the Full Moon tomorrow.
