Weekly Forecast: 8/15/22 through 8/21/22

Monday, August 15th ~ The moon is in Aries all day, increasing drive and motivation. A conjunction between the moon and Jupiter at 6:59am EST powers up enthusiasm and makes us excited to start a new project and feel fresh energy coming our way. Mercury trines the North Node of the moon at 9:04am EST, electrifying our minds and moving us in the direction of a karmic goal. This is an excellent day to begin something we've been meaning to do for a while. The moon conjuncts Chiron at 9:00pm EST to close out the day's transits. Physical exercise or stretching tonight benefits mind and body and helps to link them in a healthy manner.

Tuesday, August 16th ~ The day begins with the Aries moon sextiling Saturn at 7:13am EST. Motivation grows and leads us toward new horizons. The moon enters its Waning Gibbous phase at 10:47am EST, pulling our attention inward. This is a good time to practice gratitude and explore what is working well in your life. Mercury trines Uranus at 1:46pm EST, a transit we can feel all day long. This allows for expanded vision and the ability to channel new information. The brain's pathways are rewired and invite in new perspectives. This is truly a "think outside the box" kind of transit. The moon squares Pluto at 4:18pm and then moves void of course until 10:22pm EST when it enters Taurus. Power struggles erupt when we try to force our way onto others. The void period requires us to burn off excess energy through movement and play. Once the moon enters Taurus, we seek out pleasure through engaging with the senses. Cooking with varieties of spices, soft mood lighting, melodic music... all provide healing and inspiration.

Wednesday, August 17th ~ Today is a very simple day astrologically. It is always a good idea to check in on your transits during these windows, as it will be easier to feel them when there is little interference going on in the skies. The moon is in its exaltation in Taurus all day today, creating a gentle flow within our inner worlds. We might long for the simple comforts of life today, wishing to observe beautiful flowers, dig our hands in the dirt, or simply lounge about on the sofa under a blanket reading a good book or watching our favorite film. The moon squares Venus at 11:53am EST, the only transit of the day. This decreases our ability to harmonize with others, making us want to spend time alone or disengage from those who cause us stress. It's not the best day to hammer out details or force solutions to conflicts. Instead, focus on self care and healing.

Thursday, August 18th ~ We have another full day with the moon exalted in Taurus, bringing comfort through the five senses. Venus trines Jupiter at 4:02am EST, a transit we feel for the day's duration. This is an extremely positive and beneficial aspect, bringing luck in relationships and creative endeavors. It's an opportune time to take a chance when it comes to these sectors. With both currently in fire signs, we may find these decisions to be quite impulsive. The moon conjuncts the North Node at 6:57am and conjuncts Uranus at 10:19am EST. Another pulse of futuristic energy lights us up and provides us with ample inspiration. The moon squares Saturn at 3:33pm and trines Mercury at 3:37pm EST. These back to back transits restrict emotion somewhat but allow the mind to flow and dream with ease. We might find ourselves more logical for the hour surrounding these transits, able to analyze data and patterns without becoming too attached to the results. The day completes with a sextile between the moon and Neptune at 9:48pm EST. This is quite compassionate and sensual, and invites us to merge with someone in an experience of vulnerability. Imagination opens up and allows us to dream up beautiful images and possibilities.

Friday, August 19th ~ The day begins with the Taurus moon entering its Last Quarter phase at 12:36am EST. We might feel somewhat tense, as though time is running out. Take a deep breath and ground into the earth. Everything is unfolding at the pace that is right for us. The moon trines Pluto at 1:31am and conjuncts Mars at 7:05am EST. This intensifies our focus and allows for work to be completed in a quick manner. The moon is void of course for an hour, from 7:06am until 8:06am EST when it moves into Gemini. In Gemini, the moon brings mental curiosity and a desire to share our emotional world with others in a somewhat detached, analytical manner. We might enjoy making light of our own situation and laughing about problems. The moon sextiles Jupiter at 11:51pm EST, which makes us delight in games, story telling, and playful banter with others.

Saturday, August 20th ~ The moon is in playful, sparkly Gemini all day, invoking curiosity and the higher mind's desire to take in new information. The perpetual student, Gemini goes through life seeking to discover new things and become knowledgeable in many different areas. Mars moves into Gemini at 3:56am EST, where it will be until March 2023. This extremely lengthy Mars transit is due to the red planet's upcoming retrograde this fall. Mars governs the physical body and its capacity to transmit energy, our physical health, and also anger and aggression. In Gemini, mind and body unite to become a single force. We might prefer to strategize and plan out our next moves, much like a chess player. Impulsivity does not get us very far in terms of handling conflict. Gathering information allows the body to relax into its work. Today the moon sextiles Venus at 5:08am and sextiles Chiron at 4:07pm EST. These are teamwork transits which encourage collaboration and communication. Healing relationships and helping others to mend relationships provides immense satisfaction.

Sunday, August 21st ~ The day kicks off with the Gemini moon trining Saturn at 3:03am, and Mercury opposing Neptune at 3:40am EST. We seek to be more realistic in our dealings today, but could easily fall into illusion. We may believe we have someone's best interest in mind, but be aware you may only be seeing the tip of the iceberg. The moon squares Neptune at 9:46am and squares Mercury at 10:28am EST which bring out skepticism and a lack of clarity; the tense energy of the day dissolves by noon EST and allows us to step into a place of reflection. The moon enters its Waning Crescent phase at 6:06pm EST and decreases further in light as we move toward next week's New Moon in Virgo. We could feel more inward and enjoy exploring our own mind and curiosities. The moon is void of course from 6:07pm until it enters Cancer at 8:29pm EST. It is best to have a quiet night in, restoring energy and allowing the darkening skies to bring healing and rest.
