Monday, September 5th ~ The moon is in grounded Capricorn all day, providing an earthy container for our emotions. We may feel more focused and able to push past heavier feelings in order to complete a task. Venus enters Virgo to start off the day at 12:05am EST, where it will be until September 29th. Relationships move slowly under this sign, taking their time to fully blossom. It is best to show your care for someone by helping them with their needs and completing acts of service while the planet of love is in this sign. It is quite a sensual placement for Venus and brings deep, languid romance that is shown more than talked about. The moon squares Jupiter today at 8:44am and squares Mercury at 11:20am EST. This delivers a scatterbrained effect which sends our attention in a million directions at once. The Capricorn moon wants progress and results, so this shouldn't thwart us too much. You may have more luck by tackling multiple things rather than putting all your attention into one. The moon enters its Waxing Gibbous phase at 8:24pm EST, glowing brightly and increasing excitement and motivation. The moon squares Chiron at 11:49pm and trines the North Node at 11:51pm EST to close out the day. This allows us to release something from our pasts in order to propel forward into the future.
Tuesday, September 6th ~ The Capricorn moon trines Uranus at 5:23am EST, ushering in new ideas and sparkling concepts which dazzle and excite the mind. We have several hours without planetary transits; the next comes at 2:21pm EST as the moon sextiles Neptune. We may feel more compassionate and charitable and seek to help others in our vicinity. The moon conjuncts Pluto at 5:42pm and then moves void of course until 11:41pm EST when it ingresses Aquarius. A singular idea takes hold over these hours and causes our attention to gradually pull toward center. It's an ideal time for meditation or for doing other activities which calm the mind and allow the body to breathe.
Wednesday, September 7th ~ Today we have the first of two full days with the moon in Aquarius. The moon sextiles Jupiter at 9:44am EST, enhancing our desire to travel and see parts of the world we haven't yet. You may notice this taking root in small ways, such as wanting to take a different route to work than your normally would. The moon trines Mercury at 1:47pm and trines Mars at 4:12pm EST, giving mental processes a boost. Studying and committing things to memory could be easier during this 2-3 hour span. The Sun trines the North Node in Taurus at 6:56pm EST, a transit we feel all day long. This is a positive aspect that encourages us to move in the direction of self-expression. You could feel encouraged to show off who you really are in a more public manner. This could include sharing something you made with others, becoming more self-confident, or talking about a facet of yourself that you have never divulged before.
Thursday, September 8th ~ Today is the second full day with the moon in airy Aquarius, amplifying uniqueness and inventive thought. The moon squares both the North and South Node at 12:36am EST, and we may feel somewhat frozen and contemplative. You may wish to observe rather than dive into action. The moon sextiles Chiron at 12:40am and later squares Uranus at 6:25am EST. While the day's transits encourage deep understanding of self from an objective standpoint, they are somewhat cold and alien and do not allow for much sympathy or emotiveness. The moon conjuncts Saturn at 8:33am EST and then moves void of course for the remainder of the day. Again, our feelings are restricted and can't be fully shown. Much happens under the surface but it's not the best time to show affection and discuss matters of the heart. The long void period allows us time to prepare for Mercury retrograde, beginning tomorrow.
Friday, September 9th ~ The moon is void of course until it enters Pisces at 12:42am EST. We may have especially vivid, lucid dreams during this transition. The moon opposes Venus at 9:39am EST; we wish to reconcile disharmony in relationships but might struggle to stay objective. The moon squares Mars later at 7:07pm EST, enhancing physical energy and passion. Mercury stations retrograde at 11:38pm EST at 8 degrees Libra. The retrograde lasts until October 2nd, and brings the planet back to 24 degrees Virgo. The first portion of the retrograde (September 9th - 22nd) centers around relationships and working to reconcile past connections with others that may be unfinished or require our attention. The second part (September 23rd - October 2nd) is more internal and mental. It is a good time to focus on mental health, self-care, and expanding our knowledge pool.
Saturday, September 10th ~ The moon is in emotional Pisces all day, heightening sensitivity as we creep toward the Full Moon. The day begins with the moon sextiling the North Node in Taurus at 1:25am EST. While we may feel like our hearts are wide open and exposed, there is also a boldness that carries us through. You may notice you feel more brave than normal when it comes to relationships and love. The moon reaches fullness in Pisces at 5:59am EST. This is a highly intuitive moon that electrifies the third eye and heart. Dreams will be more colorful and real seeming, and mental pictures in daydreams carry more weight than normal. Today is the perfect time to send visualizations of your ideal life out into the universe. The moon sextiles Uranus at 7:51am and conjuncts Neptune at 4:55pm EST. All of this adds to the otherworldly quality of the day. It is easier than normal to sense the feelings of others and absorb them, so spend time around people whose energy you enjoy or carry a stone like black tourmaline if you have to deal with those who drain you. The moon sextiles Pluto at 8:28pm EST and then moves void of course until tomorrow. It is a highly magical night and it is easier to see through the veil than it has been in a while. Meditate, light a candle, or read a book that inspires your curiosity.
Sunday, September 11th ~ The moon is void of course until 2:47am EST when it moves into Aries. We might feel more fierce and confident today. The Sun trines Uranus at 9:09am EST but this energy carries throughout the whole day. This allows us to lean into weirdness and celebrate the unique parts of us that make us who we are. The moon is conjunct Jupiter at 12:30pm EST, increasing sociability but also could make it hard to stay cooped up in one spot. The moon opposes Mercury at 5:52pm and sextiles Mars at 11:56pm EST to close out the day. This is an impulsive energy which sends our body into movement before our mind can catch up. Burn off any extra by going for a long walk or doing some kind of exercise. If you're unable to do so, you can also create an energy ball by rubbing your hands together really fast for a minute, imagining it glowing, and then sending it out into the universe by pushing your hands out in front of you in a forceful motion.
