Monday, October 3rd ~ The moon is in sturdy, reliable Capricorn all day, providing us with motivation and the ability to step into our own personal power. The moon is very active today, beginning by trining its North Node at 3:08am and squaring Chiron at 3:56am EST. Progress is made toward a goal but we may have to confront feelings of inadequacy and introduce more self-love into the equation. The moon trines Uranus at 10:36am EST, offering us a unique approach to emotional problems. We can view problems as though from above, and have innovative solutions that serve to eliminate stagnation. Later, the moon sextiles Neptune at 7:30pm and trines Mercury at 8:58pm EST. Intuition is easier to access, and clarity settles in over the mind. The moon then conjuncts Pluto at 11:48pm EST before moving void of course until tomorrow. Great emotional strides can be made today, allowing for personal transformation and shedding of bad habits.
Tuesday, October 4th ~ Today the moon is void of course until it enters Aquarius at 6:20am EST. When the moon is in Aquarius, we find ourselves wanting to experience the fringes of life. We might wish to try something new, or study up on a subject that interests us. Our moods center more around possibility and how to better the life experience for self as well as others. We might not be as emotional, or if we do experience highs and lows we can distance ourselves from them enough to analyze them objectively. The moon sextiles Jupiter at 10:48am EST, increasing curiosity and hunger to experience all the world has to offer. Later, the moon trines Venus at 6:04pm EST; connecting with other people brings inspiration. We could feel more charitable and wish to uplift those we interact with.
Wednesday, October 5th ~ The moon is in Aquarius for the day; we wish for innovation but could get stuck in old ways of thinking. Push yourself out of your comfort zone for optimal results. The moon reaches its Waxing Gibbous phase at 2:30am EST, increasing optimism and exuberance. It can feel like the air is sparkling with potential. The moon squares both Nodes at 5:31am and sextiles Chiron at 6:16am EST. The Nodal square always creates a frozen feeling, where we feel equally pulled between the past and the future. The transit with Chiron allows us to be more compassionate with ourselves and patient as we figure out what's next. The moon squares Uranus at 12:57pm and conjuncts Saturn at 1:59pm EST. We struggle to remain objective and rational; emotions could be more flighty and unpredictable. The moon trines Mars at 6:45pm EST and is void of course until tomorrow. We receive some energy around this time which allows for movement and physical exertion. The lengthy void period (about 14 hours) provides ample time for rest and relaxation after the burst of energy is dispelled.
Thursday, October 6th ~ Today is quite sparse astrologically, with only two major transits. The day starts off with the moon void of course until 8:46am EST, when it enters Pisces. We could have a slow start to our day either by getting delayed in some manner, or maybe having low energy. Once the moon is in Pisces, we connect in with fantasy. It becomes easier to dwell in the mind and astral plane, daydreaming and creating beautiful images in the brain. This does not have to be viewed as a waste of time; envisioning what we want and what makes us happy is the first step to manifestation here on the physical plane. The Pisces moon also enhances compassion and selfless love. Mercury trines Pluto at 11:55pm EST, which we feel building all day long. This is our third time experiencing this transit over the past month, as Mercury's retrograde has sent it back and forth into contact with Pluto. I call this the "detective aspect", as it enhances perception and allows us to see below the surface to pick up on subtleties. It's easier to focus and study, and communicate through writing during this time.
Friday, October 7th ~ We have another full day with the moon in Pisces, amplifying intuition and our ability to empathize with others and pick up on subtle energies around us. The Sun opposes Chiron at 6:48am EST, though we feel this transit all day long. This draws our attention to personal insecurities, and can bring feelings of shame to the surface. The purpose of this transit is to help us introduce more self-love and forgiveness. We see the areas of guilt or discomfort in order to bring more love to the areas they are affecting. The moon sextiles the North Node at 7:54am and sextiles Uranus at 3:34pm EST. Pathways open up in the mind which provide new inspiration and the ability to break out of stagnant patterns. The moon squares Mars at 10:40pm EST to close out the day. Anger could be introduced around this time, allowing us to release negativity through the throwing off of frustrations. Vent through writing, sports or competition, or to a willing listener, rather than taking it out on someone uninvolved.
Saturday, October 8th ~ The Pisces moon enters a conjunction with watery Neptune at 12:39am EST, allowing us to view life from a topsy-turvy perspective. Remember when you were a child, viewing a room in your house from upside down? It would reveal something different you never noticed before about the same old space. This is a bit what this transit is like. The moon sextiles Pluto at 5:14am and opposes Mercury at 7:10am EST. While much is going on internally today, it will be a bit difficult to connect with others and put it into words. The moon is void of course from 7:11am until it enters Aries at 11:56am EST. We could feel more buoyant and restless at this point, wanting to dive forward into action. It is much less dreamlike than the Pisces moon, and more centered in movement and initiation. The moon conjuncts Jupiter at 3:36pm EST, increasing excitement and the need to multitask. The attention is diverted in several different directions. Finally, Pluto stations direct at 5:56pm EST. The planet has been retrograde for several months, as it is every year. When Pluto is retrograde, we enter the shadow realm and can access the deepest, darkest parts of ourselves. Once it is direct, it becomes easier to slip into the sunlight and forget about confronting these issues for a while. We might be more focused on external pursuits or transforming externally, working toward concrete goals. It is important to continue the shadow work in small doses; this makes the retrograde period much more palatable.
Sunday, October 9th ~ The moon is in Aries all day, growing toward fullness. The moon opposes Venus at 10:20am EST to kick off the day; harmony is not necessarily the driving force today. We might seek to stir the pot to increase inspiration or stave off boredom. The moon conjuncts Chiron at 12:30pm EST which allows for healing to come through taking action and being more impulsive. The moon perfects in fullness at 4:54pm EST; this Full Moon in Aries starts a new lunar cycle in every sense of the word. It is a time to reap the harvests from intentions placed back in March/April of this year, especially around self-care and personal goals. The fiery nature of this Full Moon is powerful and warriorlike and brings enough fuel to burn through karma and cut ties with those who seek to dominate or hold us back. The moon sextiles Saturn at 8:48pm EST, encouraging us to take responsibility and commit in some form or fashion.
