Weekly Forecast: 1/16/23 through 1/22/23

Monday, January 16th ~ The moon is in deep, poetic Scorpio all day, providing a need to explore our emotions and dwell in the realm of intuition. The moon conjuncts its South Node at 1:32am EST, and connects us to past and nostalgia. We may feel a longing for times or people from long ago. Impressions of past lives could emerge as well. The moon opposes Uranus at 10:16am EST which can create shifts in feelings and fluctuations in mood. The last transit of the day comes at 2:09pm EST when the moon squares Venus. We may notice we are somewhat guarded around others and could feel we are putting a shell up around ourselves. It is more of a solitary day or one to be spent in quiet harmony with someone you have a natural rapport with.

Tuesday, January 17th ~ Today begins with the Scorpio moon trining Neptune at 12:47am and then squaring Saturn at 2:27am EST. Responsibilities slip by the wayside in favor of dreamy pursuits that engage the imagination and ability to be creative. The moon enters its Waning Crescent phase at 7:35am EST and we enter the most inward time of the month as we approach the New Moon coming this weekend. This is a time for reflection, rest, and connecting to intuition. The moon sextiles Pluto at 9:26am EST and then moves void of course for about three hours. We feel driven to overcome something in our emotional world and seek transformation of the spirit. The void period ends at 12:32pm EST as the moon enters Sagittarius. This brings in more of an adventurous spirit and desire to expand our horizons. The moon trines Jupiter at 6:41pm EST which ignites curiosity and can make some wax poetic or philosophical. We may desire knowledge and good conversation tonight. This is the last day of Mercury retrograde; this is a good time to reflect on your intentions before communicating with others.

Wednesday, January 18th ~ We have a full day with the moon in joyful, wacky Sagittarius. This is a playful moon that delights in laughter and variety. The moon opposes Mars at 2:38am EST which can ignite tempers in some or at the very least make us feel more impulsive. Mercury retrograde ends at 8:11am EST, stationing direct at 8 degrees Capricorn. This comes as a breath of fresh air, and helps to bring more clarity to the mental faculties and more direct communication, particularly related to career and finances. The moon trines Chiron at 9:12am EST, which allows for healing to come today through exploring emotions and taking a chance on something unexpected. The Sun conjuncts Pluto at 9:44am EST, a transit we feel all day long. This is a boss level transit which allows us to take charge and make demands that align with our self worth. It's a great day to try for a raise, apply for a new job, or be decisive in general. Finally, the moon sextiles Venus tonight at 10:05pm EST which brings increased harmony in relationships and a need to celebrate or be social with friends and loved ones.

Thursday, January 19th ~ Today begins with the Sagittarius moon squaring Neptune at 3:17am and then sextiling Saturn at 5:08am EST before moving void of course for over nine hours. The early hours of the day create a need for action and impulsive behaviors. We dive into things in an attempt to see results. Frustrations could arise while working on slower going projects. The void period is long enough to get lost in something you're doing entirely; Saturn's effect brings focus while Neptune's square can make us lose sight of everything else. The moon enters Capricorn at 2:11pm EST, waning gradually as we make our way toward Saturday's New Moon. The Sun and Moon in Capricorn bring added ambition and steady focus as we work toward our goals. The moon squares Jupiter later at 8:29pm EST and can create a more scattered feeling tonight. Things may feel somewhat chaotic or something could be misplaced. This is the last day of Capricorn season!

Friday, January 20th ~ Happy Aquarius Season! We have a full day with the moon in steady, considerate Capricorn, giving us balance and foresight. The Sun enters Aquarius at 3:29am EST, and we are officially in the season of the water bearer. The fixed air sign brings vision, idealism, and the ability to see things from a big picture perspective. We may enjoy charitable work during this time, or brainstorming ideas for projects that involve an artistic and unique viewpoint. The moon conjuncts Mercury at 3:30am EST which allows us to discuss our feelings with vigor and ease. The moon trines its North Node at 5:46am and squares Chiron at 9:44am EST. While it can be scary and can activate insecurities, it is time to take a leap and try for something you've been dreaming about for a while. Finally, the moon trines Uranus at 1:54pm EST which brings inventive thoughts and helps to quell fears around change.

Saturday, January 21st ~ The day kicks off with the Capricorn moon sextiling Neptune at 3:00am EST, creating a clear link between our intuition and our ability to plan. This can be helpful for formulating a to-do list or working on a project, as we are likely to understand the steps needed just by going with our gut. The moon conjuncts Pluto at 10:52am EST and then moves void of course for about two and a half hours. This adds a deep link to the emotional world and a desire to shift something that has been blocking us. The moon's void ends at 1:28pm EST as it joins the Sun in Aquarius. The New Moon in Aquarius perfects at 3:53pm EST, and allows us to fall down rabbit holes in our own minds. This is a visionary New Moon which is wonderful for solo brainstorming or following imaginative threads. We may be less action oriented today but get much done in the mental realm. The moon sextiles Jupiter at 8:08pm EST and creates excitement and a need to link up with your community.

Sunday, January 22nd ~ The moon is in airy, electric Aquarius all day, providing idealistic vision and a bird's eye perspective of personal problems. The moon trines Mars at 3:01am and squares its Nodes at 4:10am EST. Our emotions may be fired up and we could feel somewhat stuck in a mode of thinking. The Aquarian energy of the day is useful; it is helpful today to lean into objective thought rather than taking things too personally. The moon sextiles Chiron at 8:45am and squares Uranus at 12:49pm EST. We can work through issues with self-confidence by trying to view things from a higher perspective. How would a traveler from another world view this situation? Mercury trines the North Node at 4:47pm EST, and now that Mercury is direct this offers us amazing leaps in communication. We can find writing to be cathartic today, and could receive a message from someone that changes our path considerably. Venus conjuncts Saturn today at 5:12pm EST, an all-day transit that deepens our need to commit in relationships. We may take a connection with someone very seriously today, and seek to take responsibility for this person in some way. Finally, Uranus retrograde ends at 5:58pm EST. At this point, all the planets are direct! This is a reprieve from having to retrace old thoughts and work through past karma, at least for the time being. Uranus direct allows for urges that have been suppressed to come out in full force. The shock and awe of Uranus is muted somewhat when it is retrograde, and now we are free to lean into it and watch change occur as we wield this power.
