Weekly Forecast: 3/20/23 through 3/26/23

Monday, March 20th ~ Happy Aries Season! We have the moon in soft, dreamy Pisces all day today, casting an ethereal glow over the day. Venus conjuncts the North Node of the Moon at 10:30am EST, though we feel this for the next day or two. We may find the circle of close people around us shifting in some way this week. You may meet new people, strengthen existing connections, or have friendships or partnerships fall away. All of this is setting us up to enter the next portion of our lives with a team of people who match our current vibration and are here for the next phase. The moon sextiles Uranus at 1:33pm EST, allowing us to think outside the box and handle emotions from a big picture view. The Sun sextiles Pluto at 4:12pm EST, which grants us leadership abilities and allows us to transform through taking charge and independence. The Sun moves into Aries at 5:24pm EST, beginning Aries season and ushering in the Spring Equinox (or Autumnal Equinox for those in the Southern Hemisphere). This is the astrological New Year, and brings with it a fresh start for all. Aries season is cardinal fire, all impulse, passion, and unfiltered intensity. It is not a time to be timid, but rather to dive headfirst into something new which calls to you.

Tuesday, March 21st ~ Today begins with the Pisces moon conjunct Neptune at 4:19am and square Mars at 8:54am EST. We slip into daydreams with ease and could feel resentful of intrusions from the outside world. Impatience may build up around having time to ourselves; the New Moon later today requires we have some quiet time to recharge and reset at some point. The moon sextiles Pluto at 11:57am EST and then moves void of course for only four minutes. A burst of intensity comes around this time. We wish to dig below the surface to understand something on a deeper level. The moon enters Aries at 12:01pm and reaches newness at 1:23pm EST. This New Moon in Aries is the first of TWO this Aries season. This is relatively unusual and sets us up for success when it comes to initiating self-driven change. You may experience a need to back away from the crowd today and do your own thing. Slowing down to explain to others will be virtually unthinkable; it is crucial to give trust to the process and let it unfold as it will. You can always touch base about it later, but follow that fiery thread where it leads to begin. The moon conjuncts Mercury at 9:33pm EST to close out the day. This allows for mind and heart to connect. All our passion comes to the forefront. It is important to follow your passion this Aries season. If something makes you feel lit up and excited, that is the path to go down this month.

Wednesday, March 22nd ~ The moon is in Aries all day today, joining the Sun in this fiery sign. This amps us up and increases physical energy and restlessness. the moon conjuncts Chiron at 1:04pm EST which allows for physical healing to take place, as we become more aware of our bodies and their needs. Listen to your body today. If you need more rest, more exercise, more water, certain types of food... this can bring tremendous healing if we are able to listen. The moon conjuncts Jupiter at 4:16pm EST, the last major aspect of the day. We feel more optimistic, but also more restless. Excitability increases, and some will become more talkative while others will be more impulsive (or maybe both!). This is the last day with Pluto at the 29th degree of Capricorn, so we feel an apprehension in the air that is almost palpable.

Thursday, March 23rd ~ Today we have a major transit that is considered one of the most important of the year. Pluto enters Aquarius at 8:14am EST, where it will be until June 11th when it retrogrades back into Capricorn. It will return to Aquarius solidly in January 2024, and will be here for almost twenty years. Pluto was previously in Capricorn since 2008. As it is a slow moving outer planetary body, Pluto is considered a generational planet that shows us themes for the next group of humans who will incarnate during this time, and over-arcing themes we as a collective will be dealing with while it is in that sign. While Pluto in Capricorn put an emphasis on tradition and the transformation of established ways of doing things politically and financially, Pluto in Aquarius will be all about the transformation of technology to connect us all further. You may notice a lot of debate coming up about technology and its role in our lives. Some will buck against these changes and others will argue their merits. The children born during this era will be technologically advanced from a young age and almost alien-like in their savant intelligence. We will see a crucial linchpin point for considering the fate of the planet and stepping in to make needed changes. Technology could either help or hinder this process depending on who is wielding it. More about Pluto in Aquarius can be heard on my subscriber live video if you sign up. The Aries moon sextiles Mars at 1:12pm EST today and then moves void of course for an hour and a half. We will feel charged up and also have more of a sense of direction with Pluto out of the weeds of the 29th degree. The moon's void ends at 2:41pm EST as it enters Taurus, the sign of its exaltation. This brings grounding and a need for comfort and safety to come through music and other soothing art forms. The moon squares Pluto at 2:42pm and sextiles Saturn at 5:56pm EST, which allows for work to get done on tangible projects but can introduce stubborn ego struggles if we are not careful. Finally, the day ends with the moon in conjunction with its North Node at 10:07pm EST. The North Node is the furthest point from Earth on the moon's ecliptic orbit, and when it reaches it, we are encouraged to try something new and move toward a long-standing goal. These North Node goals go beyond the regular ambition and instead align with our soul's calling. Maybe today you are called to be kind to a stranger, or to sit in total silence meditating. That can still be a goal worth achieving; we do not need to see tangible results for our soul to feel it is moving in the right direction.

Friday, March 24th ~ The rest of the week and weekend is relatively quiet astrologically after a huge week last week and big transit yesterday. The moon is in grounded, patient Taurus all day. It's an excellent day for taking in beauty all around you. Go to a lovely outdoor location, a museum, or buy yourself some flowers. Anything that makes you feel opulent and indulges the five senses will feel extra inviting today. The moon conjuncts Venus at 6:30am EST. As the ruler of Taurus, Venus aligns with the moon to bring us a gentle approach and desire for more harmony in relationships. The moon later conjuncts Uranus at 7:51pm EST. We may enjoy more whimsy and fun this evening, wanting to try something new or shake up stagnation. Surprises could occur, especially with subtle shifts and alterations in plans.

Saturday, March 25th ~ Today the big transit for the weekend occurs at 7:45am EST, as Mars moves into Cancer. This is going to feel pretty exciting, mainly because Mars has spent the past seven months in Gemini! Mars typically spends around two months in a sign, so its foray through the sign of mutable air was particularly lengthy thanks to the retrograde it took at the end of 2022. Mars in Cancer brings a fresh approach to energy, and more emphasis is placed on following our gut feelings and intuition. This is definitely "lover, not a fighter" energy that encourages us to work things out through compromise and heartfelt listening. The one drawback to Mars in Cancer is that passive aggression can definitely creep up as we are so concerned with not hurting others' feelings that we bottle up our own. Find a happy balance here if you can. Those with their natal Mars in water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) and in earth signs Taurus and Virgo will feel charged up during this time. Mars will be here in Cancer until May 20th. The Taurus moon sextiles Neptune today at 12:19pm and then moves void of course for over eight hours. This is the first lengthy void period we've had in a while. You may feel a strong urge to nap or rest up. The void ends at 8:41pm EST as the moon moves into Gemini. This awakens the mind and curiosity. The moon trines Pluto a few minutes later at 8:46pm EST, encouraging us to take charge by making our wants and needs clear.

Sunday, March 26th ~ The moon is in electric, airy Gemini all day, encouraging chattiness and social curiosity. The moon squares Saturn at 12:38am EST; we may wish to put off work in favor of fun outings or something that tickles our brains. The moon enters its Waxing Crescent phase at 7:03am EST. This is a time of envisioning and daydreaming, and getting excited for what the future holds. Finally, Mercury conjuncts Chiron in Aries at 2:58pm EST. Deep healing comes through intimate discussion of emotions and thoughts with someone we trust. It's a perfect day for a heartfelt conversation with a loved one or trusted advisor.
