Monday, March 13th ~ This is a very busy astrological week, but we ease into it slowly with a quieter day. Today begins with the Scorpio moon sextiling Pluto at 2:58am EST, an aspect which urges us forward toward transformation. We may feel compelled to deepen our spiritual studies, to meditate, or to find peace in our own inner world. The moon is void of course for a short period between 2:59am and 3:20am EST when it moves into Sagittarius. The shift of the moon into this sign creates more extroversion and the need to move around and adventure. The moon squares Saturn at 4:33am EST, the last major aspect of the day. While we could feel pressure to get work done, it is hard to stay focused and we may prefer to breeze through the day or distract ourselves by getting outside or finding other ways to procrastinate. This may not be a bad thing; go at your own pace and don't force yourself to complete tasks, as you may end up needing to redo them later.
Tuesday, March 14th ~ The next several days are VERY celestially active, so get ready! Today we have the moon in fiery, impulsive Sagittarius all day, increasing our optimism and turning the focus to possibilities and improvisation. The moon trines Chiron at 5:16am and trines Jupiter at 5:56am EST; these transits allow us to change stubborn modes of behavior so that we begin to see new results. The moon squares Mercury later on at 5:38pm EST, which can make it difficult to stop and explain things to others. We want to barrel forward and could feel annoyed at having to slow down. Mars squares Neptune at 7:38pm EST, an intense transit we feel building all day and will continue to notice for another couple days. Energy could be somewhat low, and we can easily become distracted. It can feel challenging to power forward, almost like there are roadblocks in our path that bewilder and confuse us. Some may feel angry but for seemingly no reason. Gossip might emerge and it is important to not take part in this today if you can manage it, as this transit can cause us to make decisions based on unfounded rumors. The moon enters its Last Quarter phase at 10:08pm EST; the mutable Sun and Moon currently are imaginative but also take us away in an escapist manner. The moon squares Neptune at 11:37pm and opposes Mars at 11:45pm EST to close out the day. As the moon gets involved in the Mars/Neptune square, we could feel personally invested in drama going on, and those who are empathic will be highly sensitive tonight. Disengage from petty talk and try to take the high road if you can.
Wednesday, March 15th ~ Today begins with the Sagittarius moon trining Venus at 4:50am EST and then moving void of course for just over three hours. We may feel more adventurous today and want to include a loved one in the journey we take, even if that is just a journey explored through conversation! The void period provides a break from overstimulation, and ends as the moon moves into Capricorn at 8:05am EST. This shifts us into more of a productive mood and can allow us to make strides toward a goal, big or small. The moon sextiles Saturn at 9:41am and later trines the North Node at 4:12pm EST. The astrology today is quite positive and invigorating, yet stable and grounding. This supports us as we lay the bricks of a foundation, intentionally working toward the future. The Sun meets Neptune in conjunction in Pisces later at 7:38pm EST, casting a dreamy, compassionate glow over the day. We could feel more tender and loving, and boundaries blur so that we can feel the energy of those around us. Imagination is honed and ideas flow to us in a channeled manner. This transit's vibrations carry over into the morning tomorrow.
Thursday, March 16th ~ We have a full day of the moon in steady, elegant Capricorn, giving us direction and an acute awareness of time. The moon squares Chiron at 8:59am and squares Jupiter at 10:16am EST; while our bodies may wish for us to slow down and pace ourselves, our minds want to race forward and keep going toward a goal. The moon trines Uranus at 11:21am EST which can bring unique realizations and fresh ideas that keep things interesting at work or even in our home lives. The rest of the day is jam-packed with FOUR major transits. Mercury conjuncts Neptune at 1:12pm EST, an all-day energy that is wonderful for poets and artists, as it allows us to flow with ideas and gather inspiration from seemingly mundane things. The Sun squares Mars at 2:09pm EST, another all-day energy that creates a strong need to prove ourselves in a competitive manner. Be mindful as this could play out without you even being aware of it. Venus squares Pluto at 3:58pm EST. With both planets at the 29th degree of their respective signs, this is an extremely intense transit that, when paired with the Sun/Mars square, gives the potential for interpersonal fights and dramatic displays of jealousy. This will especially play out in intimate relationships but also in friendships and business. If you notice this arising, the best way to handle it is to take a step back. Logic won't do much in this case. Things calm down significantly at 6:34pm EST as Venus breaks up the configuration by moving into the sign of Taurus. Venus is the ruler of Taurus and enjoys being in this sign. We notice beauty more readily, and could benefit from taking in art, culture, and beautiful music. Venus will be here in this sign until April 11th. Those with natal Venus in Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn, Cancer, and Pisces will especially enjoy this time and receive a romantic boost.
Friday, March 17th ~ We have another fully packed day in the cosmos! Things begin with Mercury squaring Mars at 12:48am EST. We may feel tension regarding communication, as though we are being misheard or misunderstood. Some may express anger in their conversations seemingly out of no where. The Capricorn moon sextiles Neptune at 2:26am and sextiles Mercury at 4:27am EST. Being vulnerable and remembering to listen goes a long way today. The moon reaches its Waning Crescent phase at 4:37am EST, and we are now in the most inward period of the month. This weekend will be more introverted and we may need more time to recharge after social activity. The Sun conjuncts Mercury at 6:44am EST; this Mercury Cazimi invigorates the mind and allows for genius ideas to take hold in the mind almost instantly. Lightbulb moments are likely today! The moon conjuncts Pluto at 10:13am EST and then moves void of course for 10 minutes. We focus with ease under this transit and can lock into something that intrigues us. The moon's void ends as it enters Aquarius at 10:24am EST. The Aquarian moon combined with Mercury Cazimi brings some mad scientist energy to the day. Problems are solved, inventions are crafted, and yet we may be a bit separated from our emotions. The moon squares Venus at 11:50am and later squares both of its Nodes at 6:02pm EST. Remember to take space for yourself, as too much stimulation today can deplete and overwhelm the nervous system. Finally, Venus sextiles Saturn at 6:25pm EST to close out the day. This allows us to share ideas with a loved one and build strong foundations together. You may be able to tackle a goal with the help of someone close to you. This is also a great transit for making measurable progress on a creative project.
Saturday, March 18th ~ The moon is in Aquarius all day, a dreamers' moon that ignites the higher mind and allows us to view the world through the lens of its full potential. The moon sextiles Chiron at 10:35am and sextiles Jupiter at 12:26pm EST. This allows for healing to come through envisioning the outcome we'd most like to see and then intending ourselves to reach this path. The moon squares Uranus at 12:50pm EST which can make for some rapid shifts in emotions. Plans may go off the rails today; the more we can be open to change, the more we may find our feelings stabilizing. Mercury sextiles Pluto at 11:23pm EST later on, which allows us to dig under the surface and perceive even the smallest details. This is a detective's transit which engages our observational skills and aids us in asking questions to explore things further. Mercury is at the 29th degree with Pluto, which gives us a dogged approach when it comes to finding answers tonight.
Sunday, March 19th ~ Mercury moves into Aries today at 12:24am EST, a zippy place for the planet of communication. Mercury in Aries is bold, impulsive, and has absolutely no filter. Beating around the bush is not favored during this time; say what you mean and mean what you say for best results. This is a quick transit which lasts through April 3rd. The Aquarius moon trines Mars at 6:33am EST and then moves void of course for almost five hours. We are excited to study and explore topics that interest us today, and could find it easy to get lost in a rabbit hole of exploration during the moon's void. The void ends at 11:11am EST as the moon ingresses Pisces. With both the Sun and Moon in Pisces, we will likely feel quite dreamy and introspective as the moon wanes to darkness over the next day and a half. The moon conjuncts Saturn at 1:27pm and sextiles Venus at 4:54pm EST, allowing us to take on an emotional responsibility and be there for someone in need, or perhaps to find that support for ourselves from someone who cares about us. The moon sextiles the North Node at 6:25pm EST, the last major transit of the day. We are building toward change, and may feel more ready than we have in a long time for that next step to come. This is the last day of Pisces season, and an important day of endings as we begin a new astrological year and cross over the Equinox threshold tomorrow.
