Monday, September 18th ~ Today is a relatively simple day astrologically. It begins with the moon entering Scorpio at 12:58am EST, where it is considered to be in its fall. The fall position in astrology means that the planetary body may struggle to express its traits under this position. Scorpio moons are extremely inward, and we feel everything deeply while the moon is in this sign. We are more likely to keep our feelings to ourselves, and wall off from the world. The moon trines Saturn at 5:18am EST, which allows us to focus on a task and be responsible for seeing it through to the end. Later on, the moon sextiles Mercury at 5:52pm EST which ignites the mind with ideas. This transit also allows communication to flow smoother and aids in expression of emotions and personal values.
Tuesday, September 19th ~ The moon is in deep, mystical Scorpio all day today, which deepens the intuition and strengthens our desire to understand the unknown. The moon opposes Jupiter at 6:15am EST. We may find ourselves to be more excitable and adventurous, but find it hard to exercise self-control. The Sun opposes Neptune at 7:17am EST, a transit we feel all day long. This is a very imaginative time, as we connect with higher inspiration and ideas are channeled through us in an almost magical seeming way. However, we could find base level reality to be quite frustrating. It can be difficult to deal with every day matters during this transit. The moon squares Venus at 8:29am EST, suggesting we might prefer more alone time today. Interactions with others are prone to inducing frustration. Finally, the moon opposes Uranus at 8:46pm EST. Emotions cycle through quickly and we long for more independence and freedom. Heavy rules and regulations are likely to feel especially annoying today.
Wednesday, September 20th ~ Today begins with the Scorpio moon trining Neptune at 3:06am and then officially entering the Waxing Crescent phase at 4:46am EST. Emotions are expansive and all-consuming, and we long to connect with others on an intimate level. As the moon shifts into the sextile with the Sun that kicks off the Waxing Crescent phase, we begin to turn our thoughts to dreams of future plans, wishes, and goals. The moon sextiles Pluto at 6:21am EST. Small talk is out of the question today! We're going to want intense communion and honest discussions of emotions, or nothing at all. The moon is void of course from 6:22am until it enters Sagittarius at 10:05am EST. This brings a burst of excitement to the day and gives color to our dreams about the future. The moon squares Saturn at 1:57pm EST, the last major transit of the day. Pressure can build around what we have yet to accomplish, and we might feel somewhat disconnected from others as this transit perfects. Remember that this is an ideal day for envisioning what we wish to build and bring into our lives, and we don't have to rush into action just yet. We have to first dream our ideas before we can craft them into existence.
Thursday, September 21st ~ The moon is in optimistic, energetic Sagittarius all day. We could feel excitable and anticipatory today. The energy today supports multitasking and bouncing from one thing to the next, while maintaining a playful spirit throughout it all. The Sun trines Pluto at 1:20am EST, though we feel this for the majority of the day. This is a wonderful transit for positively influencing others and motivating them to bring about necessary change. Those in positions of leadership can use this transit to their benefit, and those who are not can make power moves toward achieving more control in their own lives. The moon squares Mercury at 5:12am EST, which can make many overly chatty with ideas coming a mile a minute. The moon later sextiles Mars at 4:12pm and trines Venus at 6:25pm EST. We are amped up and can benefit from exercise or satisfying our competitive spirit with a playful game or contest. Finally, the moon trines Chiron at 7:58pm EST to close out the day. This allows for emotional healing to come through challenging ourselves to confront a fear. This may involve a change in plan, or going somewhere you've never been before.
Friday, September 22nd ~ Today we start with the Sagittarius moon trining its North Node at 7:44am EST. This brings a hopeful energy and helps to align us with our greater life purpose. The moon squares Neptune at 8:34am EST which brings an urge to disappear into our own inner worlds of imagination and comfort. Later, the moon enters its First Quarter phase at 3:31pm EST, initiating us into action and urging us to make necessary changes for our happiness. The moon is void of course for just under an hour, from 3:32pm until it enters Capricorn at 4:20pm EST. The moon is in its detriment in this sign, meaning it can be challenging to align with intuition without overthinking it. The moon sextiles Saturn at 7:44pm EST, allowing us to take charge of a situation and put some work in toward fixing it. This is the last day of Virgo season, and with the Sun at the 29th degree of Virgo we could find ourselves a bit nervous, impatient, or prone to dwelling on problems. It's recommended to keep your brain occupied and entertained. Listen to a podcast which engages the mind, do a puzzle, or play a game that requires strategy.
Saturday, September 23rd ~ Happy Libra season! The moon is in earthy, ambitious Capricorn all day which is good for focusing on work and making decisions which involve future plans. The Sun enters Libra at 2:49am EST, officially kicking off Libra season and beginning autumn in the Northern Hemisphere and spring in the Southern. Libra is the sign of cardinal air, and initiates both ideas and connections with others. This is a season of balance and harmony, and maximizing beauty in our surroundings. Libra is a curator and collector, and we could find it an ideal time to hunt down hard to find items to complete a beloved collection. There is a focus on justice and lawfulness while the Sun traverses Libra's sky. Venus trines Chiron at 4:17am EST, a transit we feel all day long. This is an excellent transit for relationship healing, and opening up about our feelings with someone we trust. We can also overcome creative blocks and insecurities during this transit. The moon trines Mercury at 2:23pm EST which strengthens our mental faculties and makes us feel curious about acquiring new information. The moon goes on to trine Jupiter at 6:12pm, bringing added energy and a desire to explore our surroundings. The moon squares Mars at 11:17pm EST which amps up our energy even further, and could possibly bring up irritations or frustrations. We can find relief through moving the body and burning off excess tension.
Sunday, September 24th ~ Today is a LOT astrologically, and packs a punch of intense and confusing transits. The day begins with the Capricorn moon squaring Chiron at 12:07am EST; we may prefer to distract ourselves from problems today by throwing ourselves into busy work. It can be beneficial to write down feelings if you're noticing any anxiety or tension creeping up. The moon trines Uranus at 7:27am and later squares both of its Nodes at 11:19am EST. Things are a bit unpredictable today and we can feel somewhat unsure of what to do or where to turn. Breathe deep, ground in, and get outside into the fresh air. Connect with the earth and remember to be present. The moon sextiles Neptune at 1:02pm and conjuncts Pluto at 4:05pm EST, which allows for connection with the higher self or spirit guides, and helps to thin the veil. This is useful for feeling support and power from both friends in this life and in realms beyond. The moon moves void of course at 4:06pm just as Mars opposes Chiron. We feel this transit all day and throughout the next two days. This transit calls on us to heal our relationship with our assertive, powerful self. We might move through feelings of shame around going after what we want, or recall times when we were scolded for being direct and assertive. Or maybe you have relied on more intimidating methods to get what you want, and so you may also find yourself called to heal this imbalance. Meditations centering around balancing the solar plexus chakra are recommended. The moon's void ends at 7:29pm EST when it enters Aquarius. We benefit from examining the bigger picture and aligning with our higher ideals. The moon enters its Waxing Gibbous phase at 10:26pm EST which amps up positivity and anticipation. The next two days are more extroverted and playful, as the moon continues to wax toward fullness.
