Weekly Forecast: 9/11/23 through 9/17/23

Monday, September 11th ~ Today we have the moon in fiery, glamorous Leo all day. We aim to show off our truest colors and be expressive of our inner self through our dress, demeanor, and attitude. The moon sextiles Mars at 8:05am EST which amps up healthy competition and strengthens our drive to take on challenges as they arise. The moon conjuncts Venus at 3:31pm EST, supporting empathy and understanding in relationships. This gives us a creative boost and allows us to see the beauty in simple situations. The moon squares Jupiter at 7:54pm EST which exaggerates feelings and intensifies our need to express them. It's very difficult to hide emotions under this aspect and so it is best to just let them flow. Today's astrology is quite social and outward, but as the moon is waning we may also find that we need proper time to recharge after necessary socialization.

Tuesday, September 12th ~ We have a second full day with the moon in Leo, giving us a need to engage with a creative outlet. Many will find joy and kernels of wisdom from spending time with beloved animals or children. The moon trines Chiron at 2:51am EST, bringing healing through self-expression and engaging with your inner child. What were some of your favorite hobbies when you were a kid? It could be fun to do some version of them today, or watch a nostalgic show or movie. The moon squares Uranus at 11:05am EST and then moves void of course until tomorrow, an over 14 hour void period. We cycle through emotions more rapidly today, going through a more broad spectrum of feeling rather than dwelling in one. The lengthy void of course period means we might not get much outward activity done, and could prefer to rest up or work on more meditative tasks that chip away at the big picture but aren't quite as active or dynamic. The moon trines its North Node in Aries at 3:52pm EST, which brings encouragement to follow your heart and move away from any pressure being put on you by family, friends, or society to go down a certain path that doesn't align to who you really are.

Wednesday, September 13th ~ The moon's void period ends at 1:18am EST as it moves into Virgo, and we are officially in the dark moon phase. This is the most inward time of the month, a two and a half day period that calls us to go within, do shadow work, and shed all that is not serving our growth. The moon opposes Saturn at 6:30am EST, suggesting we might feel pressure to perform and succeed today, but there is a part of us that also wants to take it easy and have fun. Balance is key here; complete a task and give yourself a nice break, and repeat as needed. The moon conjuncts retrograde Mercury at 6:04pm EST, which brings to mind a conversation we once had. Pay attention to what memories arise around the hour of 5:34pm-6:34pm EST, as there is something there that needs to be reflected on. A past communication has a lesson for us, if we are willing to look.

Thursday, September 14th ~ The moon is in earthy, intelligent Virgo all day, reaching its peak of newness. It starts the day by trining Jupiter at 8:27am EST, which is a visionary aspect that allows us to see the best in people and situations. We can work to improve our surroundings even while in the worst conditions. The New Moon in Virgo perfects later on at 9:39pm EST. This New Moon is ideal for shedding negative thoughts around your body, work ethic, and efficiency. It can be helpful for gaining clarity around harsh thought patterns (i.e. where they originated and why we have become stuck in these thinking loops). Meditation today can bring intense insight and healing to the body/mind relationship. It can be helpful to write down some affirmations relating to career and the physical body / health. Harmful habits or ways of thinking can be dissolved and released today. Later, the moon trines Uranus at 11:37pm EST which brings objective insights and a bold attitude when it comes to solving problems. We are more likely to be proactive under these skies, and understand what needs to be done to get from point A to point B.

Friday, September 15th ~ Today starts with the Virgo moon opposing Neptune at 6:30am EST, enhancing intuition but also making it easier to buy into an illusion. Stay centered; it's great to soar into dream world, but it can be easy to fly too far from the ground today. The moon trines Pluto at 9:49am EST and then moves void of course for almost four hours. Feelings are deep and powerful and we steer away from shallow connections. The moon's void period ends at 1:44pm EST as it enters Libra. This four hour window preceding is good for exploring a subject of interest or getting lost in research, reading, or other means of expanding the mind. Once the moon is in Libra, we are out of the dark moon phase and are apt to feel more social and aware of our surroundings. Mercury retrograde officially ends at 4:21pm EST, with Mercury stationing direct at 8 degrees Virgo. Tech mishaps ease up, and communications flow more smoothly. This is a good time for organizing, forming a plan, and tidying up physical spaces around you. The Sun trines Uranus at 9:23pm EST, a transit that we notice all day long. This encourages us to follow the rhythm of our own music, and to be independent in thought. People will be more open-minded tonight, and are more likely to go for bold ideas they may not normally consider. This is a good time for technological ideas and innovations, as well.

Saturday, September 16th ~ The moon is in social Libra all day, and encourages us to visit with friends or family. We could enjoy shopping or getting beauty treatments of some kind, especially nail or haircare. Creative ideas involving art and music flourish. The moon conjuncts Mars at 3:52pm EST which gives us a boost of energy and more of an impulsive flair. Passions are high and many will choose their activities for the day at the last minute based on what feels the most exciting and interesting. The moon sextiles Venus at 7:57pm EST, bringing softness to relationships and allowing us to lovingly connect with those around us. This is a perfect day to mediate conflict and bring about more harmony in interpersonal relationships.

Sunday, September 17th ~ We have a second full day with the moon in glamorous, harmony-driven Libra. Libra moon days are ideal for collaborations with others, redecorating your space, and enjoying fun outings with friends. Venus squares Jupiter at 2:09am EST, a transit we feel all day long. This transit brings a desire for fun no matter what, and while it can be quite exciting and enjoyable it can also make it easier to blow off work and responsibilities. The moon opposes Chiron at 2:54am EST which suggests that many of us are running from something we'd rather not face today. The moon conjuncts its South Node at 3:17pm EST, meaning it is as close to Earth as it gets on its orbit. This brings strong memories of the past, activates nostalgia, and even brings to mind distant recollections of past lives. The moon later squares Pluto at 9:06pm EST, which can activate attachments to people and things, and make it easier to fixate upon them. The astrology is a little tricky today, but can be transmuted by leaning into the positive qualities of Libra. The more we can mediate, harmonize, and seek to reduce conflict with others and within the self, the more we are set up to have a fun and exciting day. The moon is void of course from 9:07pm EST until tomorrow, allowing for deep rest, meditation, and restoration of depleted energies.
