Weekly Forecast: 9/4/23 through 9/10/23

Monday, September 4th ~ The moon is in steady, patient Taurus all day. It is considered exalted in this sign, meaning the moon's true energy is able to come through more readily. We connect to our intuition and feelings on a deeper level. Mercury trines Jupiter at 6:28am EST, a transit we feel all day. We may be more talkative and ideas flower, taking shape in colorful ways. Since Mercury is currently retrograde, we may revisit ideas from the past. The moon enters its Waning Gibbous phase at 7:12am EST, gradually diminishing in light. This moon phase is ideal for reflection, appreciation, and affirming what we enjoy and are grateful for. The moon squares Venus at 8:08am EST, suggesting we could find being around others somewhat abrasive and will be more sensitive to disharmonious interactions. Jupiter stations retrograde today at 10:10am EST; this retrograde lasts until December 31st. As it closes out the year, we examine hopes and dreams we've let go of or set aside for a while. It is now high time to let go of those that aren't aligned with who we are now, and to fully embrace our dreams that are true to our unique spirit. This is also a great time to break difficult habits and addictions, as we can more clearly see the tangled knots that formed to keep us ensnared here. The moon trines Mercury at 1:35pm and conjuncts Jupiter at 2:05pm EST to close out the day's transits. Our emotions come through clearly as we communicate. We can more easily put ourselves into another's viewpoint and emotional world.

Tuesday, September 5th ~ Today starts with the Taurus moon entering a conjunction with Uranus at 3:27am EST, which allows for quick shifts in emotions and brings a more objective view of a situation in our lives. The moon sextiles Neptune at 9:59am and trines Pluto at 12:45pm EST. We are inspired by beauty and feel an intimate closeness to nature and all it contains. There is a rousing desire in us to transform our emotions into something more practical and artful, making it an ideal day for artists and anyone seeking to create. The moon is void of its course from 12:46pm until it enters Gemini at 4:06pm EST. This void period is good for disappearing into a project or locking into the groove of creativity. The moon's entrance into Gemini brings more curiosity and presence in social situations. Later, the moon squares Saturn at 9:49pm EST which can leave us feeling a bit isolated or left behind by someone we care about. Make your desires known rather than trying to send subtle hints for the best results.

Wednesday, September 6th ~ The moon is in airy, social butterfly sign Gemini all day. It trines Mars at 3:44am EST which brings out our competitive side. We seek to engage with others and push ourselves to succeed. The Sun conjuncts Mercury at 7:09am EST, also known as the Interior Mercury Cazimi. This is the point where Mercury appears directly over the Sun, and is the closest to Earth that it can be. The interior Cazimi only happens when Mercury is retrograde. This brings flashes of brilliance, remarkable insight, and strong mental activity. We can feel quite engaged with our thoughts, and find the hours of 6:09-8:09am EST to be stimulating for the brain. We emerge with new ideas or experience subtle mental shifts. The moon sextiles Venus at 3:06pm and squares Mercury at 4:45pm EST. We want to enjoy the company of others but could find it difficult to communicate in a clear way. Dreamy, telepathic means of communication where we engage our body language will be more effective. The moon enters its Last Quarter phase at 6:21pm EST, inviting us to explore anything that is incomplete. The next two days are a good time to finish up projects or tie up loose ends.

Thursday, September 7th ~ We have a second full day with the moon in curious, multifaceted Gemini. We feel more engaged with our thoughts and seek to explore the world around us in a theoretical manner. The moon sextiles Chiron at 3:56am EST, which allows us to heal tension through open communication with another. By being honest and upfront about our feelings, we can avoid resentment and tension. The next transit doesn't happen until 4:45pm EST when the moon sextiles its North Node in Aries. Possibilities open up and we receive an invitation to try something new. The moon squares Neptune at 6:21pm EST and then moves void of course until early tomorrow. It is easy to get lost in imaginings of what could be, or to become overwhelmed by options. Take a step back, ground into your surroundings, and let the answer reveal itself when it is ready rather than forcing it to come. The void period is much slower and allows for deep rest and relaxation.

Friday, September 8th ~ The moon's void ends at 12:59am EST, as it enters the sign of its domicile, Cancer. The moon here is sparkling like a rich jewel, inviting us into the depths of our hearts to explore our feelings at length. The moon trines Saturn at 6:43am EST, which brings courage and emotional strength to persevere and better ourselves should we choose. The Sun trines Jupiter at 7:12am EST, a lucky transit that blesses the whole day with its warmth. This brings more optimism and wonder to us, and allows for more generosity of spirit. We will want to share our riches with others, and will see abundance where we might have once overlooked it in favor of what is still missing. The moon squares Mars at 4:33pm EST, which can result in a dip in energy and need to rest up. The moon sextiles Mercury at 10:56pm EST which brings softness and warmth to conversations. We find ways to connect with others through shared ideas and mutual interests.

Saturday, September 9th ~ We have a full day with the moon in Cancer, waning as it approaches next week's New Moon. It begins the day by sextiling Jupiter at 7:48am EST, making us keenly aware of the positive relationships in our lives. Our hearts are warmed by these connections and we could feel a need to reach out or adventure with these people. The moon enters its Waning Crescent phase at 9:48am EST, which does mean we will need more time to restore our energy after socializing, and will be more reflective and inward for the next couple of days. The moon squares Chiron at 2:33pm EST, and as a result we could feel some guilt or shame rising up about our emotional reaction to something. It might seem like we feel too much, or not enough. Go easy on yourself and know it is okay to experience things in your own unique way. Your reaction doesn't need to be the same as anyone else's. The moon sextiles Uranus at 10:34pm EST, allowing for surprises in relationships that break up stagnation and get us to think about life in a new way.

Sunday, September 10th ~ Today begins with the Cancer moon in square to its Nodes at 3:47am EST. We feel a bit frozen between the past and future, and may prefer to put off making intense decisions. The moon trines Neptune at 5:36am EST, connecting us to our higher imagination and bringing in a floaty, ethereal feel to the day. It then goes on to oppose Pluto at 8:47am EST, which can make us feel more defensive and like we need to prove ourselves and defend our territory. The moon is void of course from 8:48am until it enters Leo at 12:36pm EST. This four hour window is slower and gentler, and sends us into whimsical worlds of abstract creativity. As the moon enters Leo, we might feel more like getting out of the house and doing something fun and social. We will seek out ways to be true to ourselves and show the world who we really are.
