Weekly Forecast: 6/5/15 through 6/11/15
Friday, June 5th - This morning we have a dual quincunx aspect between the moon and Pluto in Capricorn and the Sun and Mars in Gemini. Quincunx aspects, or inconjuncts as they are also called, create a sense of discomfort and lack of understanding between the planets involved. The moon and Pluto in conjunction in the sign of Capricorn will make us laser focused on our goals and getting to the bottom of situations. On the opposite end of the quincunx, the Sun and Mars in Gemini is easily distracted and enjoys experiencing a number of things, but not necessarily putting all effort into any of those interests. Think about these two opposites as you go through your day. You may notice that you vary between feeling like you have a million things you'd like to do and wishing there was one thing you could spend time on. As the retrograde cycle evolves over the next week, clarity will be easier to come by. This morning Venus enters Leo at 11:32am. This is an excellent sign for Venus to be in if you are looking for creative inspiration. If you've been in hibernation or keeping things under wraps with a loved one, the secret may come out (or you'll be going out in public a bit more often). Fire signs (Leo, Sagittarius, Aries) will have a lucky couple of weeks when it comes to romance. The moon goes void at 11:33am this morning (EST). It's an interesting day with a lot of aspects hitting... tonight Mars and Jupiter meet in sextile, which will bring along a boost of energy and a restless spirit. Head out for fun, or else keep your mind and body engaged. Keep things centered around having a good time. The void moon, quincunx aspects and Mercury retrograde all bog down heavy topics and make them too murky to navigate.
Saturday, June 6th - The moon exits its void at 1:02am EST and moves into Aquarius. It will immediately sextile Saturn and oppose Venus once in this sign. Yesterday's advice to keep things light, especially in interpersonal relationships, stands. If you try to chat about heavy topics you may notice someone is intensely cold while another is way too heated. It's an excellent day for technology, electrical work and building things with your hands. Venus and Saturn meet in trine this morning, which will give relationships focus and direction, and also give inspiration for creative projects. There is a Grand Trine in air for about six hours this morning/afternoon, from about 10am to 4pm EST. This involves the moon in Aquarius, North Node in Libra and Mercury in Gemini. Conversation is a huge part of the day. It's an ideal time to network, philosophize and theorize.
Sunday, June 7th - All of today's aspects happen before 10:30am EST. The morning is an active one as the moon moves into trine with the Sun, opposes Jupiter, trines Mars and moves into sextile with Uranus in the span of five hours. Mental activity is favored today. Quick thinking, problem solving, and creative flashes of genius light up the day. Perhaps you'll have an insight you had yet to stumble across. Problems that seemed hopeless could be worked through with ease, particularly those related to technology, writing and even home improvement. There is a bit of a restless feel to the day, but if you keep yourself busy with troubleshooting, or physical exercise, you shouldn't have a problem. The moon moves void of course at 10:31am EST, where it will stay until tomorrow morning. Hold off on any big decisions today. If you are unsure at all, err on the side of caution. We have an interesting week ahead as Mercury stations direct again on Thursday, and then Neptune immediately goes retrograde. Caution is required today and most of the week, actually.
Monday, June 8th - The moon comes out of its void and enters Pisces early this morning at 4:17am EST. Before noon the Pisces moon will square Saturn and Mercury. It is a challenge to get much work done today and it's better to be a little less ambitious than you had planned. If anything can wait another day or two, consider putting it off. If you try to do too much you may be met with frustration. Today is the last big hit from the Mercury retrograde. Pisces, Gemini, Virgo and Sagittarius have been hitting walls when it comes to getting clear answers out of others. This evening the Sun sextiles Jupiter, which increases the desire for adventure, travel and breaking out of our comfort zones. You may feel like socializing, or at least going out and doing something different. This is also a good influence for bringing in new projects or working on exciting plans for the future. Some may focus on learning, philosophy and culture. The Pisces moon moves into conjunction with Neptune in Pisces tonight around 8pm EST, which will increase intuition and may put some into dreamy, meditative states. If you've been having trouble sleeping, you may be assisted by this conjunction tonight.
Tuesday, June 9th - At 3:29am EST, Mars and Uranus move into sextile with one another. This tends to create sudden changes, and you may have noticed them beginning this past weekend. These changes manifest in physical situations, and often have to do with moves to new homes, taking on a new job, or some other monumental shift. This aspect also increases physical energy, often allowing us to do things we weren't sure were possible (like running a marathon, for example). Like running a marathon, this aspect is quick and fleeting but very powerful, and after it's over in a few days you may feel quite exhausted. This afternoon the Pisces moon sextiles Pluto and squares the Sun and Mars before moving void of course at 2:09pm. Leadership and direction come naturally to Pisces and Capricorn today. Emotions could be a bit unsteady for air signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius). The moon is void of course for the remainder of the day, where it will stay until tomorrow morning. We are coming out of the effects of Mercury retrograde very slowly, even though the planet will not turn direct until Thursday evening. Despite the gradual lessening of the retrograde, treat the next few days with caution and care when it comes to communication and the flow of information.
Wednesday, June 10th - The moon exits its void at 7:13am EST and enters the sign Aries. Yesterday's Mars/Uranus sextile is still going and so physical energy will be high today, particularly for fire and air signs or those with their Mars in a fire or air sign (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius, Gemini, Libra, Aquarius). This morning the moon trines Saturn, which helps us take responsibility and work effectively. Mercury and Venus meet in sextile this morning at around 8:54am, which helps the flow of communication in creative partnerships and romantic relationships. This afternoon the moon sextiles Mercury and trines Venus. The fire energy of the day is really powerful and can be utilized to accomplish large tasks. Mercury's aspects are light today and will especially ease up on those who have been experiencing writer's block or hitting other creative walls. This evening the Sun sextiles Uranus. This will wake up our minds and bring along ideas and sudden inspiration. This coupled with the physical stamina that the Mars/Uranus sextile brings is turning us into super humans for the next two or three days. Of course, you have to find a degree of balance or else you can burn yourself out almost immediately. Despite the influx of energy and enthusiasm, move at a slow and steady pace and you will accomplish everything you are trying to do this week (and more).
Thursday, June 11th - The Aries moon is active this morning and afternoon. It squares Pluto, trines Jupiter, conjuncts Uranus, and sextiles the Sun and Mars. All of these aspects are useful for working towards goals, coming up with fresh new approaches to old problems, and overcoming emotional blockages that have been holding you back. The one thing to watch out for is bossiness or problems cooperating with others. Fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) will have a problem with this today, as will those who have their Mercury in a fire sign. You might do better working alone if you can't exercise patience. Mercury moves direct at 6:34pm EST. However, there is something a bit akin to a 'hangover' when it comes to Mercury retrograde. This is known as the shadow period. Mercury will be in post-retrograde shadow until June 26th. While many of the more harsh effects of the retrograde are past us, the energy is still winding down and Mercury is not back to its pre-retrograde pace or place yet. It is better to ease into things over the next two weeks. The moon moves void of course tonight at 7:43pm. It's a good idea to relax tonight and give yourself time to acclimate to any changes that have been going on. Tomorrow Neptune moves retrograde so allowing yourself to rest up before that happens will likely be beneficial.
