Friday, July 17th - Day begins in Mansion of Horus / Enters Mansion of Imseti at 3am EST
Wow, there are actually no major aspects at all today. This is maybe the first time I can remember this happening! This is quite a gift honestly, and will allow us all a 'reset' button after the intense energy of this week's new moon. The moon is presently in the sign of Leo and will allow us to bring out our inner feelings and share them with the world via creativity or work. We enter the Mansion of Imseti at around 3am EST, which is the realm of expansion. We are called upon today to expand upon our ideas of inner truth and work towards pushing our vision broader and broader beyond the horizon of what we believe to be possible. This mansion is favorable toward money making (particularly through our own ideas), travel and crafting.
Saturday, July 18th - Day begins in Mansion of Imseti / Enters Mansion of Hapi at 4am EST
The day begins with the Leo moon trining Uranus and (a few hours later) Jupiter. This is an "I can do anything" type of attitude as the self-confidence of Leo meets with the pioneering spirit of Uranus in Aries and the expansiveness of Jupiter. Remember to insert a little bit of caution into your activities today because this is quite a reckless set of transits. Those who are usually disciplined may find themselves acting a bit out of character, especially early in the day. The moon squares Saturn at around 5pm, which only adds to the need to flee from responsibility or what is expected of us (particularly by our parents or other authority figures). There is a void of course period from 6:39pm EST until 8:47pm, when the moon enters Virgo. Venus enters Virgo during this void, at 6:44pm EST. Virgo is a sobering place for Venus and could find us focusing more on bettering ourselves to be a more balanced partner in romantic relationships. This will last for a few weeks. Venus is due to move retrograde next week. This will cause us to reflect back on past relationships or perhaps have a run-in with romantic partners of days past. Through these encounters we will be inspired to make changes that positively impact our present relationships. Tonight, as the moon and Venus both enter Virgo, we will become a bit more serious and detail oriented. The moon and Venus meet in conjunction at about 9pm, right as Mercury and Uranus square. A filter is turned off thanks to this contact and people begin to say whatever is on their mind. Creativity could blossom and romantic relationships are pushed to new levels as contact barriers are dropped. It's an interesting day with a lot of twists and turns and unexpected occurrences. The moon enters the Mansion of Hapi early on, which is the realm of heartfelt honesty. We are given the chance to share our inner feelings with others today in a way that is uniquely ours. Lucid, clear visions come along for those who are willing to look for them. It's a good day for harvesting or planting, and is not the most ideal day for water travel (according to the ancients).
Sunday, July 19th - Day begins in Mansion of Hapi / Enters Mansion of Renenutet at 5am EST
My apologies for getting this forecast up a day late. We can still look at the patterns of Sunday to better inform us for the rest of the week. On this day Mercury and Chiron met up in trine at 6:08am EST. This gave a raw approach to emotions and conversation. You may have noticed strangers sharing details with you, or friends opening up about things they normally keep quiet about. Connection is the main goal of these interactions. Since Chiron is continuing on in its retrograde march, issues from the past keep popping up in a variety of ways. Past hurts are being addressed. People who once wronged us are being brought into our lives now. Instead of being annoyed or bothered by this, try to think of it as an opportunity. Anyone who has wounded us has left an imprint on our psyche that could affect us for the rest of our lives, even if we are unaware. If we can confront this rather than run from it we are offered a chance at integration and greater happiness. Today the moon opposes Neptune at about 3pm EST. While there is a chance that we would prefer to be alone or in the company of a couple today, the greater community demands our attentions. Empathy is a big part of the day, and whether we want to or not we will get pulled into the collective feelings of the group. Keep your footing and remain graceful and allow yourself the opportunity to learn from others. The moon trines Pluto tonight, which allows us to take what has been hidden and give it meaning through our outer reality. This could be useful in creative expression or in our relationships with others. We are in the Mansion of Renenutet for much of the day. This is the realm of projection, of taking what is inside us and giving it to the world (who may or may not be responsive or ready for it). The other archetype for the day is that of the person with a gruff exterior and a kind heart. Both may be encountered today.
Monday, July 20th - Day begins in Mansion of Renenutet / Enters Mansion of Kebechet at 9am EST
The moon sextiles Mars this morning at around 7am EST. This gives us a boost of energy when it comes to service, intellectual repose and the deepening of personal understanding. Virgo themes are highlighted. There is an attention to detail this morning that has been hard to come by in the past several days. Make use of this in whatever way you would like. The moon opposes Chiron this afternoon which can create painful realities as we are faced with the things we fear. These fears come from a place deep in the psyche, and as Chiron retrograde continues we will have to look at these parts of ourselves and find a way to embrace them rather than run from them. Every day that there is an aspect like this I set an intention for what I would like to overcome, and then I actually find myself getting excited about these so-called "malefic" transits! Being aware is the first step to not getting side-swiped by unpleasant aspects or astrological events. Ultimately we are in control of our own destiny, even if we don't always have a say in the setting or climate of it. Tonight the moon sextiles Mercury, allowing for honest communication of spiritual values and personal feelings. This morning the moon enters the Mansion of Kebechet, the mansion of subtle power. This was considered an alchemical mansion by the ancients, one in which we could not only turn any metal to gold, but where we could alter any piece of our reality into something greater. This can only be accessed by an understated confidence, a quiet acceptance of the current of energy which runs through all things. The skills and magical results that the day could yield are only accessible by those who do not show off or overcompensate.
Tuesday, July 21st - Day begins in Mansion of Kebechet / Enters Mansion of Thoth at 10am EST
The moon sextiles the Sun and Saturn this morning at 6am EST before moving void of course at 6:07. The joint sextile is an interesting one, because the Sun and Saturn are (at first glance) quite different influences. The Sun enlightens, revives and gives energy while Saturn refines, restrains, balances. In a way this combination makes great sense. It is a bit like going out on an adventure and having a parent to look over you the whole time. There is a sense of excitement but also a safety net that Saturn is able to provide. The Sun trines Saturn at 7:07 which adds to this dynamic even more. The two work together well this morning. The moon comes out of its void at 9:23am and enters the sign of Libra. At this point the focus moves from adventuring solo to doing so with a partner (friend, significant other, co-worker, etc.). When I use the term "adventure" I have to specify that this does not mean every single person reading this will go out and hike a mountain or travel to a new place today. Maybe you are going to work, or staying in and reading a book. There is a sense of balance and excitement with whatever is being undertaken today. Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces feel the glow of this the most. The moon conjuncts the North Node this afternoon at about 4pm, bringing a sense of purpose that is reflected through our interactions with others. The day is spent primarily in the Mansion of Thoth, the realm of balance between inner and outer. Thoth was the inventor of writing in ancient Egyptian belief, and also the god who oversaw battles between good and evil. Writing is perhaps one of the better examples of how we are able to take what is inside (living in our brains or the collective consciousness) and bring it outside (into reality, where others can share in it). As the gateway between these worlds, Thoth invites us to find balance as the moon is in Libra today. It is an excellent day for treasure hunting, according to the ancients. This also relates to finding what is below and bringing it above.
Wednesday, July 22nd - Day begins in Mansion of Thoth / Enters Mansion of Sopdu at 11am EST
The moon squares Pluto this afternoon at about 12pm EST. Certain issues in relationships are not being addressed or talked about, particularly for Libras and Capricorns. Both parties involved may have different reasons for not being upfront... not everyone is being outright deceptive. Mercury trine Saturn a couple hours later (1:50pm EST) will help with conversation should you seek to have it. Saturn will allow focus and restraint, so there will likely not be a huge confrontation. Be sure if you strive to understand someone else today that you are not making assumptions about them and are instead listening to where they are coming from. The moon squares Mars tonight at 10pm, which gives energy to partnerships and romances but can also ignite tempers. Those with high blood pressure should take it easy this evening. The Sun enters Leo tonight at 11:30pm EST. The Sun is back to the sign it rules and so self expression is highlighted over the next few weeks. It's a good month for performance or sharing creative vision of any kind. The moon spends much of the day in the Mansion of Sopdu. This is the realm of high energy. Here we are given enthusiasm and excitement when it comes to getting things done. Those with a Libra sun or moon will especially feel this way today. Others (particularly Aries sun or moon people) may not share in this excitement. It is a favorable day for observation or taking in data and coming up with a plan based on that information. That high energy that is being utilized today will allow us the follow-through we need to work toward the completion of any project today.
Thursday, July 23rd - Day begins in Mansion of Sopdu / Enters Mansion of Hathor at 2pm EST
The moon opposes Uranus early this morning, which could create sudden changes in relationships. These are not necessarily bad changes, and affect all relationships in our lives, from family to friends to the people we work with. The other end of this is that we will strive to make changes before they are ready to occur (this is more the approach of Capricorn and Cancer today). Mercury enters Leo at 8:14 this morning. Over the last few weeks Mercury in Cancer made us communicate more based on past experiences, and allowed a gentle approach when it came to dealing with others. Mercury in Leo will allow us to be more out-spoken. We are able to show off our talents and convey them to other people. Be sure you don't get too sucked up into this pride cycle, and extend your generosity to those around you. The moon sextiles Jupiter at 2pm EST before moving void of course at 2:13pm. Deep conversation with others is favored this afternoon, particularly philosophical and theoretical talks. The moon is void for eight hours today, one of the longer void periods we've had in a while. Use the afternoon for catching up with things rather than beginning new projects. The moon exits the void and enters Scorpio at 10:08pm EST. Tonight the newly Scorpio moon sextiles Venus and squares the Sun at 11pm. This creates intensity in romance and creative projects but stunts our ability to express ourselves publicly for the evening. Stay in and wait to share with groups of people until morning. The moon is in the Mansion of Sopdu until 2pm. Read yesterday's description to understand that influence. We enter the Mansion of Hathor midway through the day. This is the mansion of adaptation. Under the influence of the moon in this Mansion we tend to feel the pain of others and want to find a way to eliminate it. If we are unable to do this we struggle to find a way to adapt to these hard emotions. Today it is important to make changes in ourselves first before moving out to do so in the world. It is the whole embodiment of macrocosm vs microcosm. If you find something in the world painful, try to create what you'd like to see on a smaller scale. If you notice a lot of violence today, be kind to every stranger you encounter rather than shrinking into your sadness.
