Friday, July 31st - Day begins in Mansion of Onuris / Enters Mansion of Anuket at 8am EST
The day begins almost immediately with a Full Moon (Moon opposition Sun) in Aquarius at 5:43 am EST. This full moon has been building up in intensity over the past week. With any Aquarius/Leo polarity or opposition there is an emphasis on feelings vs indifference. The coolness of an electric Aquarian moon coupled with the sun in hot, fiery Leo makes for a lot of see-sawing emotion. Venus re-enters Leo this morning at 11:22am EST. The Venusian retrograde marches on, and as the coming weeks pass you will notice that themes of attention are brought up. Partners will demand attention, or else some will feel as though they are not receiving enough attention. This will extend back to past situations and so you may hear from old creative partners or romantic ones who are looking to heal old wounds. The moon opposes Mercury tonight, making it hard to communicate large scale ideas. We might be thinking in grandiose ways but getting others to see our vision will be difficult. The moon enters the Mansion of Anuket at about 8am this morning. Here in the goddess of the Nile's mansion we are encouraged to brainstorm new ideas. With all the retrogrades going on, this is bound to be a challenge. Try to break away from old concepts and float away downstream towards something fresh.
Saturday, August 1st - Day begins in Mansion of Anuket / Enters Mansion of Shepes at 4am EST
Moon sextile Uranus early this morning continues to emphasize the need to brainstorm. It is an ideal day for working with technology or anything electrical. Vision is increased. Just make sure you are not looking at it through the lens of your past. Keep things grounded and in the moment by meditating or spending time outside. Moon opposition Jupiter this afternoon followed by the Sun quincunxing Neptune is going to make for an interesting divide. There will be a desperate need to expand our mindset or social circles, and yet this is met by friction or inaction. Moon square Saturn and opposition Venus this evening are going to put the focus on solo work or play. It is going to be next to impossible to get too much done today unless you are able to stay in the moment and breathe. The moon is void of course for a very short time, from 6:03pm until 6:37pm EST when it enters Pisces. This evening opening up to others will be easier, but our sensitivities could be heightened. The moon enters the Mansion of Shepes early on. Shepes was the god of tombs and pyramids, and here we are encouraged to build and be a catalyst for action. It is important to celebrate that which makes us different from others today and find a way to let this empower us.
Sunday, August 2nd - Day begins in Mansion of Shepes / Enters Mansion of Min at 2am EST
Saturn stations direct at 1:54am EST. This has been quite a long and intense retrograde period for many. We won't be out of the 'retrograde zone' completely until November but having Saturn moving forward again will unblock a lot of energy. We will start to be capable of lightening up our load and moving more freely. Any burdens or responsibilities that we've had to revisit will begin to sort themselves out without our constant attention. To ensure that you don't have to deal with baggage next time, be honest, straightforward and work hard on the things you want to accomplish. Saturn will be less likely to bully you during the next retrograde in March 2016. The moon conjuncts Neptune as Mercury trines Uranus this morning. This is an ideal day for tapping into the collective unconscious for inspiration or spiritual guidance. Our shields are down energetically and so we can gather ideas and vision with ease. The veil is lifted temporarily, so to speak. The moon sextiles Pluto this afternoon, which brings in a keen eye and an ability to see deeply into the truth of things. Pisces, Cancer and Scorpio will make use of this the most. Mercury quincunx Chiron at 4:01pm EST will make it a challenge to talk about any inner pain we've been experiencing or any health problems that have come up. Save those topics for tomorrow, if possible. The Mansion of Min is entered at 2am EST. This is a particularly fertile day for many. Sensuality is highlighted as is unselfish, genuine kindness. The ancients considered it a great day for gardening or planting of any kind.
Monday, August 3rd - Day begins in Mansion of Min / Enters Mansion of Tawaret at 12am EST / Enters Mansion of Ra at 8pm EST
It is quite an active day. The moon conjuncts Chiron early this morning in the watery sign of Pisces. Here we are offered keys to understanding in the form of dreams, visions or feelings. All of these signs point back to moments from our past that may have stunted us in some way or another. We are not reminded of these things for any other reason but to move into awareness, so we can work to unblock ourselves and allow creative expansion to continue. Jupiter and Saturn meet in square this morning at 6:36am EST. Jupiter and Saturn are quite different energies and yet they also have some things in common. Jupiter is the planet of expansion, both mental and physical. It is an enthusiastic albeit gluttonous energy. Saturn is about restraint, focus and working hard. The thing that is interesting about these two planets is that they both want to end up in the same place, but the way they go about it is quite different. Since they are in square today, we are reminded to find balance above all. Many of us will be inclined to want to take shortcuts over the next few days while others reprimand and would prefer to get every single detail wrapped up first. There is a middle ground here and we are reminded to find it. Jupiter tends to rush in an effort to see all there is to see, but if you slow down perhaps you will see more. Saturn wants to make sure everything is taken care of before moving, but perhaps things can get taken care of a bit quicker if you allow yourself sporadic breaks and times of fun. Keep these thoughts in your mind as you move throughout the week. This afternoon the moon trines Mars and Saturn before moving void of course at 4:36pm EST. Energy reigns high this afternoon. It will be difficult to stop your mind from moving, particularly for Scorpio, Pisces and Cancer (or those whose moon or Mercury is in one of those signs). The void period lasts until 7:25pm EST when the moon moves into Aries. Whenever the moon comes back to the first sign of the zodiac (Aries) we have come through quite an emotional journey. It is important to honor this and reflect back on lessons learned over the last few weeks. Tonight the moon opposes the North Node, triggering anybody who has their North or South node on the Aries/Libra axis. The theme is independence vs partnership for the night. This could flare up Venus retrograde themes for some. The moon moves quickly through mansions today. Just after midnight it enters the last lunar mansion, the Mansion of Tawaret, and later enters the Mansion of Ra at 8pm, the 1st lunar mansion of the cycle. Today is considered an extremely favorable day for conception, childbirth, and for being protected while traveling. Tuesday, August 4th - Day begins in Mansion of Ra / Enters Mansion of Shu at 5pm EST
There are no major aspects for the majority of the day. The moon doesn't begin to make contacts until 4pm EST. The moon trines the Sun and squares Pluto this evening. This will bring in renewed optimism (particularly for Aries, Leo and Sagittarius) but could create power struggles, particular in work or career related arenas. Bosses or authority figures could be on power trips, or else it is perceived that way to others. While the moon is in the Mansion of Ra, it is easier to look at things with a different perspective so make use of this if you can. Venus and Jupiter meet in conjunction this evening at 5:44pm EST, the last major aspect of the day. This is an extremely pleasant aspect that will help counter any strange Venus retrograde behavior (although it may not go away entirely). This aspect is beneficial for decorating, beauty, travel or love relationships. It is also quite lucky for children and animals and our relationships with them. This evening the moon enters the Mansion of Shu at 5pm EST. Shu ruled over the wind and air in ancient Egypt. We are invited to follow his example today and move through the world as if in the wind. Let the air carry you and follow your instinct. Don't worry or stress about how others will perceive you. This day is especially good for shedding others' expectations. Physical energy and sports are favored today.
Wednesday, August 5th - Day begins in Mansion of Shu / Enters Mansion of Tefnut at 3pm EST
The Aries moon conjuncts Uranus this morning. This is an aspect that brings in lots of new ideas. Many huge plans are launched under this influence. The only downside is that we can sometimes act without much empathy. Be careful not to boss others around and take the time to understand where they are coming from. Venus and Saturn meet in square at 11:05am EST. This will flare up Venus retrograde themes, particularly for earth signs (Virgo, Capricorn, Taurus). The way this could happen will differ for everyone, but the overall theme to look out for is the idea of money (or other material goods) owed. Partners from the past will have their own take on what is owed to them. Things lighten up a bit as the day progresses. This afternoon the moon trines Mercury and squares Mars. This is like a dose of caffeine to the senses. Conversation and public speaking are favored, but be careful not to talk just for the sake of hearing your own voice. You may want to get out and run or exercise, but pace yourself. Tonight the moon trines the Venus and Jupiter conjunction at around 7pm EST, which is a really beautiful aspect. This could be a lucky hour or two for many. The moon moves void of course from 7:30pm until 9:30pm EST when it enters Taurus. The rest of the evening is centered around the home or those closest to us. The moon enters the mansion of Tefnut at 3pm EST. Tefnut was the Egyptian goddess of water, and here we have to surrender even more control than we did yesterday under the Mansion of Shu. There is a good deal of trust involved today, but those who surrender will be rewarded with positive manifestations from the universe. Alchemy and science are favored, as is any water travel.
Thursday, August 6th - Day begins in Mansion of Tefnut / Enters Mansion of Geb at 1pm EST
Another active day astrologically! The Sun and Pluto are in quincunx this morning at around 3:30am EST. The Sun and Pluto are such opposites... the Sun represents all we show the world and the light that we live in on a day to day basis. Pluto is our dark side, the side that destroys in order to rebuild. The Sun unites, Pluto tears down. Both are useful and necessary but when they meet in this way we may experience some problems with bringing our light and dark sides together. We may not even be aware of which is which, but will be dealing with the consequences today. Meditate or soul search, and don't be too hard on yourself! Mars and Saturn are in trine early this morning, which is perfect for sports, races, and other disciplined physical events. It is a great day for competitions of all sorts. Mercury and Venus meet in conjunction this morning at 10:24am EST. This helps us talk things out with those closest to us and can break down some walls that may have gone up as a result of Venus retrograde. Try to have these talks before 4pm if possible. This afternoon the moon sextiles Neptune, which can create peace and unity in our home environment (or at least a strong need to bring that in). Spend some time making your house feel the way you want it to. Redecorate, sage it, get a new plant. Bring in positive energy. Mercury and Saturn meet in square at 4:19pm this evening. Those walls that were coming down might go back up again, particularly for Scorpio, Aquarius, Taurus and Leo. Many people could get more serious tonight and take things to heart. Don't joke at others' expenses this evening; it could turn into something a lot bigger than you'd think. Tonight the moon trines Pluto and squares the Sun, again bringing in the theme of the Sun's light vs Pluto's darkness. The Taurus moon acts as an apt mediator. Many will attempt to put off things that sound unpleasant tonight, and that is alright. This afternoon the moon enters the Mansion of Geb. Here we are offered clear sight in the god of the earth's domain. Others' intentions are very clear today, should you choose to look. It is an excellent day for gathering information, gardening and harvests.
