Friday, August 14th - Day begins in Mansion of Imseti / Enters Mansion of Hapi at 11am EST
Happy New Moon! It's been a long month of regrouping and overcoming retrograde blockages, and today many may feel the culmination of all this effort. The main theme of the past few months has been cleaning out what no longer serves us, be it physical possessions or intangible things from our lives. If you haven't been working towards those goals then you may be inspired to begin today. The moon trines Uranus this morning at about 8am before moving into conjunction with the Sun (the New Moon) at 10am EST. The Leo moon/Uranus in Aries trine brings about a little spontaneity. The day may not go as you planned but try to relax into this and see where it takes you. We only have one other major aspect today, a moon/Venus conjunction at 2pm EST. This is a positive boost in the right direction for romance, partnership or gentle cooperation with others. Romantic relationships could take a more public direction. Be aware of the retrograde and act with a grain of caution, despite the excitement of the day. The moon enters the Mansion of Hapi at about 11am this morning. Hapi was the god of the Nile, and here the ancients remind us to respect water and the oceans today. In fact, they suggested not to go in any body of water on this particular day of the lunar cycle. Since it is summer in the northern hemisphere, I would say as long as you are respectful and don't pollute the waters today it's fine to go in them! It is an ideal day for clarity and decision making.
Saturday, August 15th - Day begins in Mansion of Hapi / Enters Mansion of Renenutet at 12pm EST
It is a busy day full of aspects and intriguing transits. We start off with a Moon/Saturn square a little after midnight. For those who are awake into the late hours (or in a different time zone) you may find that you have a bit of trouble focusing on those things that you consider responsibilities. Your mind may wander or you could prefer to be the center of attention rather than working behind the wings. The moon is void of course from 12:37am EST until 3:46am EST. If you are awake you may find you are unable to get any work done and must distract yourself to make it through these few hours. If asleep, you may not remember your dreams from this time (unless your moon is Leo or Virgo, in which case your sleep may be quite lucid!). The moon emerges into Virgo at 3:46am, and promptly conjuncts Jupiter. Here we begin to formulate a plan for how we wish to accomplish our ideal life. There is a lot of emphasis placed on directing your own life and its energy over the following weeks. It is important to begin to rely less on others and trusting yourself more. Virgo energy is all about accepting oneself and truly propelling forward in the world via your own stamina. This afternoon the Sun and Venus meet in conjunction again at 3:21pm EST. This is a positive creative aspect and is ideal for children and playtime. Of course, adults can engage in playtime too! Mercury and Pluto meet in trine shortly after, at 3:55pm EST. Communication is increased and romantic relationships could reach a gentle sort of clarity that encourages closeness and connection. Tonight the moon and Neptune oppose each other at 8pm EST. Many will be living in the 'real world' for the evening, unable to reach too far out of the realm of what seems possible. Pisces will have the easiest time fantasizing and using their imaginations. The moon enters the Mansion of Renenutet at noon. She was the Egyptian goddess of cobras and eyes (so cool!). There is an intensity to the latter part of the day that is centered around watchfulness and protection. We are encouraged to be observant and look after those we care about tonight.
Sunday, August 16th - Day begins in Mansion of Renenutet / Enters Mansion of Kebechet at 3pm EST
The moon and Pluto trine at 6am EST and then the Virgo moon continues its movement and conjuncts Mercury at 8am. This is a great morning for communication and asking someone how they think or feel about something outright. You are likely to get a very truthful, to the point answer. It is a good day for getting things done, because there is no tendency to wander or get caught up in your own thoughts. Pisces and Aquarius may be the only ones who find themselves with heads in the clouds. Tonight the moon opposes Chiron at 9pm EST, which can trigger any blockages within us relating to serving others or being efficient. Even if you don't normally struggle with those subjects, it's possible you may experience this theme in the evening. Try to separate your own perceptions from what is actually real. The moon is in the Mansion of Renenutet until 3pm EST (read yesterday's forecast for info on that) and enters the Mansion of Kebechet at 3pm EST. Kebechet was the goddess of wandering and joyful exploration. How odd on a day dedicated to focus and accomplishment! I think this serves as a reminder to not lose your sense of wonder while you are getting things done today. Allow yourself time to play, even if for a moment. It is important - today above all - to be humble.
Monday, August 17th - Day begins in Mansion of Kebechet / Enters Mansion of Thoth at 5pm EST
We have no major aspects until 1pm EST, allowing us the morning free from confusion. Depending on your own personal transits, it's a better day to make decisions than we've seen in awhile. (If you have any major oppositions or squares at the moment, it's okay to make a choice but allow yourself the time to be certain.) The moon sextiles Saturn this afternoon before moving void of course at 1:17pm EST. This Virgo energy is excellent for reaching last minute deadlines or getting quick bursts of work done. The void period lasts until 4:23pm EST when the moon enters Libra. The day's energy shifts from solo planning to collaboration. It is important to reach out to others tonight, and you may find that even if you're not in the mood, other people need you for something! This evening the moon conjuncts the North Node at 7pm, which is ideal for surrounding you with important individuals who could be instrumental in helping you reach goals. Pay attention to who shows up in your life tonight. The moon is in the Mansion of Kebechet for most of the day, encouraging us to be light and playful and stop to see the sights along the way. It enters the Mansion of Thoth at 5pm tonight. This is considered a great evening for writing, poetry and ceremonies that honor something bigger than ourselves.
Tuesday, August 18th - Day begins in Mansion of Thoth / Enters Mansion of Sopdu at 6pm EST
The Libra moon sextiles Mars this morning at 5am EST. Teamwork, sports and any kind of group competitions could be very successful today. It's important to include everyone and strike a fair balance. Even if you are not playing sports or teaming up with others for a physical challenge, there could be themes that mirror this coming up today. It is a day without many major aspects. I would encourage you to take a look at your own personal transits. You can do so on astro.com or the Time Passages Pro app (or contact an astrologer!). On days when there aren't many major aspects, you can really feel the energy of your own personal transits because there are no distractions. I would suggest mapping them out and seeing how they feel and if you can notice any patterns. If you are not interested in this or aren't sure how to do it, then just pay attention to your feelings and any changes in them today. Write them down if you'd like. The Mansion of Thoth encourages writing and bringing feelings to the surface. Tonight the moon squares Pluto at 7pm EST. Rejection is a possible way this could play out. If you are not chosen for a particular job, school, etc or are rejected by someone you care about, then allow yourself time to grieve this and try to begin seeing an even better future for yourself. Often rejection hurts so much because it destroys an idea of the future we've become used to. We see ourselves at that job and it excites us, so when that idea is taken away or destroyed we aren't sure there could be another path that would bring us that much joy. Open your mind and allow yourself to see other options. Often there is something even better waiting around the corner. The day is spent in the Mansion of Thoth. Utilize this energy to visualize something you would like to achieve. Figure out what you need to work on now to set this energy in motion. We have to be willing to put in the work to accomplish our goals, but visualization is a huge part and can help us formulate our plans.
Wednesday, August 19th - Day begins in Mansion of Sopdu / Enters Mansion of Hathor at 9pm EST
The moon opposes Uranus this morning at 10am and promptly sextiles Venus right after. Disagreements could come up within groups of friends or co-workers. This is less about fights between best friends or lovers and more about issues between three or more people. It is important to have one person to act as a peacekeeper or referee. Often Leo, Aquarius, Sagittarius or Gemini will be less involved so consider asking them. Romantic relationships flourish today. There is a lot of passion available. It's almost volatile! Venus trines Uranus at 12:43pm EST and meets Chiron in inconjunction at 12:50pm. You may be drawn to your partner like a magnet today. You could find little arguments serve to bring you closer together this afternoon. Creativity comes as a result of aggravation or sadness. Utilize it and channel it into your work or projects today. Tonight the moon sextiles the Sun at 10pm. Consider reaching out to anyone from earlier who wasn't understanding your side of the story. Things may have calmed down enough that you can get to them now. The moon moves void at 10:57pm EST where it will stay until early tomorrow morning. Thursday, August 20th - Day begins in Mansion of Hathor / Enters Mansion of Khepri at 11pm EST
We come out of the void of course period at 5:25am EST when the moon enters Scorpio. Mercury opposes Chiron soon after at 5:44am. Many will be a bit secretive and moody. There is a desire to share things with one or two other people and leave everyone else out of the loop. Mercury and Uranus are inconjunct this morning. You may hear some strange things come out of peoples' mouths today... either unexpected and out of character or simply bizarre. Chalk it up to the day or else wait until later to confront them about something that bothered you. The moon sextiles Jupiter this morning as well, allowing a lot of freedom. Even if you are at work, school or some other place there is a good amount of room to break out of the routine. Consider going somewhere new for lunch, or take a different route home. You may be pleasantly surprised. Tonight the moon squares Mars and trines Neptune. Tempers are a little off-kilter today. Get your feelings out tonight. It's an ideal evening for creativity, especially any art related projects. Lucid dreaming is favored tonight. The moon enters the Mansion of Khepri just after 11pm EST. Since the day is primarily in the Mansion of Hathor, I will wait for Friday's horoscope to talk about Khepri. Hathor's day is dedicated to empathy and kindness with others. Even if they manage to drive you crazy, do your best to extend your well wishes to them and try your hardest to see where they're coming from.
