Friday, August 21st - Day spent in Mansion of Khepri
The Scorpio moon sextiles its ruler, Pluto, this morning at 8am. Intensity of vision and clear sight is available should you wish to utilize it. Investigations of any type are favored as the Scorpio moon allows us depth of sight to collect information and process it emotionally. We are without any major aspects for much of the day, allowing us time to check in with our own thoughts and feelings as opposed to being pulled around by those of others. This evening the sun squares Saturn at 7:40pm EST. This type of energy is quite Bacchanalian or Dionysian. There is a sense of indulgence and madness that surrounds the evening. Responsibilities are thrown to the wind. Decisions could be made on the fly. The moon trines Chiron and squares Venus, allowing the potential for jealousy to creep in from lovers or possessive friends. There is tremendous healing that can be accessed tonight. In fact, any strange behavior could act as a gateway toward better understanding of ourselves and those involved. The moon does not change mansions at all today and remains in the realm of Khepri, god of scarab beetles, for the duration of the whole day. Here we work in the underground and observe those around us to better our own projects. There is of course a form of selfishness involved with this, but as long as we aren't using the information we gather to steal from or exploit others then it is okay. Today is ideal for learning from others, finding inspiration from them and channeling it into our own unique vision.
Saturday, August 22nd - Day begins in Mansion of Khepri / Enters Mansion of Ma'at at 1am
The Scorpio moon sextiles Mercury shortly after midnight, and here we are able to connect with others in the most intense way. Passion is alive in conversation and electric sparks fly as we are drawn to those who we feel can understand us. Mars and Neptune are inconjunct at 6:21am EST. Please do your best to focus yourself this morning and afternoon. This transit can be a bit dangerous as it pushes us into our minds and can make it so we aren't even aware of our surroundings. Leo and Pisces should especially pay a bit more attention. The other downside of this transit is that it can make us unsure of our own physical limits. Be careful if you are adventuring, drinking too much or indulging today. The moon conjuncts Saturn and squares the Sun this afternoon before moving void of course at 3:32pm EST. This is a serious and somber pair of transits, juxtaposing the Moon/Mercury sextile from earlier. Now we move inward, especially if those around us aren't living up to our expectations. Once we emerge from the void and the moon moves into Sagittarius at 4:42pm, there is a bit more lightness. The moon sextiles the North Node at 7pm this evening, which can create buoyant feelings that we are on the right path (particularly for Sagittarius, Leo and Aries). The Moon/Jupiter square a couple hours later continues the indulgent mood from last night. The Sagittarius moon gives it more of a joyful, devil-may-care vibe than it had last night. We spend much of the day in the Mansion of Ma'at, goddess of justice. Balance is hard to achieve today, particularly between mind and body. Do so by focusing on your breathing while walking, exercising or exerting yourself at all. Paying attention to the in and out breaths will ground you and calm your mind if you are experiencing problems with clarity today.
Sunday, August 23rd - Day begins in Mansion of Ma'at / Enters Mansion of Seshat at 1am
The Sun moves into Virgo this morning at 6:26am EST. Ego expression softens a bit and we are encouraged to be humble, yet still productive and diligent. This morning the moon squares Neptune and even though we may still have our heads in the clouds, duty calls and there are things that need to get done (particularly for Pisces, Sagittarius, Virgo and Gemini). As the moon moves into trine with Mars at 10am we are awarded a bit more of a get up and go mentality, which helps a lot as we move through our daily tasks. Interestingly enough these are the only major transits for the day. We spend most of the day in the Mansion of Seshat, the goddess of writing and measurement. Communication through written word is favored today. Consider making a list of things you'd like to accomplish. Even if this sometimes overwhelms you, the energy is right for this to be helpful today. There is time to relax at the end of the day, even if that relaxation comes in the form of activity.
Monday, August 24th - Day begins in Mansion of Seshat / Enters Mansion of Ra-Horkahty at 2am
Moon trine Venus kicks the day off shortly after midnight. Relationships enter into a dynamic of public vs private affection. This could be a positive thing for many as their partnerships evolve into having a more stable foundation. Others could be dealing with secrets or strange Venus retrograde insecurities from the past. There is a loose grand trine from about 6am until 10am EST. Grand trines are known for bringing benevolent energy and letting events unfold with ease and little restriction. This particular trine involves the moon, Uranus and Venus. Here we are able to get a glimpse into the true emotions of others. Uranus may make reactions today seem random, but you are actually getting to see what is going on under the surface most of the time. For instance if someone has an outburst today that seems like it isn't connected to anything you are likely seeing insecurities that have built up over time. This grand trine is good for getting this energy out and working through it in a constructive manner. Tonight the moon squares Mercury, which is good for impulsive ideas and adventuring solo but less productive for group projects and roles. The moon is void of course from 6:04pm until after midnight. The evening is good for unwinding and having fun. Don't plan it out too much, if possible. We are in the Mansion of Ra-Horakhty for much of the day. This mansion boosts our intuition and helps us see the big picture along with the small details.
Tuesday, August 25th - Day begins in Mansion of Ra-Horakhty / Enters Mansion of Sobek at 1am / Enters Mansion of Bastet at 11pm
The moon comes out of its void at 12:22am EST and enters Capricorn. At 3am EST the moon squares the North Node and trines the Sun. Emotions are pleasant and lighter, but we may have to put some things we've been trying to get done on hold for the morning. The moon/North Node square can interrupt us in the midst of important tasks. This morning the moon trines Jupiter, which allows us to be both serious-minded and expansive. Inspiration hits but we have the drive to follow through, particularly as the day continues. This afternoon the moon/Neptune sextile at 3pm will help us tap into the collective unconscious. Consider working on writing, music or art even if you do not normally do those activities. The rest of the day is quiet as far as aspects go. It is an ideal day for learning from others. Enthusiasm is plentiful, but luckily it is accompanied by the backbone, which is needed to accomplish goals. The moon enters the Mansion of Sobek at 1am EST, which is ideal for searching, seeking and finding lost items. It is a great day for travel or going to a new place you've never before been. At 11pm EST the moon traverses into the Mansion of Bastet. I will go into detail about that mansion tomorrow.
Wednesday, August 26th - Day begins in Mansion of Bastet / Enters Mansion of Onuris at 9pm
The Capricorn moon conjuncts Pluto shortly after midnight. Talk about a keen eye! Clear sight is favored and details become clear. Pluto likes to hide in the shadows but the Capricorn moon would rather expose these secrets so she can make sense of them. The theme of secrets is running throughout this week. Something may become obvious today. At 10am, the moon moves into sextile with Chiron. Healing and energy work is favored. Consider getting a reiki session, or go for a massage. Getting energy moving is a good thing! This afternoon the moon squares Uranus just as Mercury and Saturn are sextile. Focus and intention are extremely clear today. It is a good time to get others on the same page as you. Group work and teams are favored today, particularly in career or creative groups. Sun and Jupiter reach conjunction at 6:01pm EST, one of my favorite aspects. This is an extremely optimistic transit and is perfect for performance, creation and exuberant, happy feelings. Consider going out with some of your favorite people tonight, if possible. The moon is in the Mansion of Bastet for much of the day. The ancients considered this a very 'healthy' day, meaning it was a good day for physical activity or receiving any sort of medical or holistic work. It is also an ideal day for honing talents or practicing a skill of some kind. We enter the Mansion of Onuris at 9pm EST. The past is honored and protected here. We may remember stories from our pasts, or we will seek out traditions that feel comfortable and safe to us. Ceremony and ritual are favored tonight.
Thursday, August 27th - Day begins in Mansion of Onuris / Enters Mansion of Anuket at 6pm
The moon sextiles Saturn at 1am EST. Typically the moon and Saturn don't understand each other all that well, since the moon is feminine and emotion-centered and Saturn is masculine and task-oriented. But here these two come together quite nicely and allow us to sync up our emotions with the job we need to get done. We are able to accomplish more as a result. The moon and Mercury trine a little later at 3am, bringing along help from others. We can discuss things rationally and get others to see our side with little effort. If you are asleep during these transits, you may be able to work out some kind of problem through your dreams, even if you are unaware of what that dream was when you wake up. The moon moves void of course at 3:20am EST, where it will stay for a little less than an hour. At 4:04am it enters Aquarius. The Aquarian moon moves into trine with the North Node at 6am, which is amazing for collaboration with others. Things fall into place easily today. Open yourself up to this energy and see what happens. Mercury moves out of Virgo and into Libra today at 11:44am EST. Communication opens up as a result. Mercury in Virgo is ideal for being focused and gathering your thoughts. It is good for coming up with the right words. Now, Mercury in Libra will allow us to share more with others and rely a little more on improvisation. Things are gentler and tender. This may actually help the Venus retrograde a little bit, at least in terms of our communication with loved ones and partners. The moon enters the Mansion of Anuket at 6pm this evening, realm of the Goddess of the Nile. Hers is a Uranian, Aquarian energy that shocks and invigorates. Ideas come in like wildfire. Decisions made today may not stick. Allow yourself room to change your mind.
