Friday, September 11th - Day begins in Mansion of Hapi / Enters Mansion of Renenutet at 7pm EST
Energies are heightened in intensity this week as Saturn creeps through the 29th degree of Scorpio. This is a bit like being swallowed up by a tidal wave. The effect of this degree tends to exacerbate as we near the end, and so you may encounter mood swings or find that everything around you is swelling to its fever pitch. The worst is nearly over, but it is important to be mindful and watchful this week. Offer empathy to others. Their grouchiness or anger can be quelled by feeling as though someone understands them. The moon squares Saturn this morning, which electrifies the water of this transit and saturates the day. There is a short void period from 9:04am EST until 9:56am EST, when the moon emerges in Virgo. We are beginning our trek toward the New Moon and Solar Eclipse later this weekend, and so it is time to start identifying the things that we wish to clear out. Consider cleaning your room. The simple act of clearing the space you live in can allow energy to flow in other areas of your life. This evening the moon moves into conjunction with Jupiter at 10pm, which is wonderful for planning exciting things that are happening at a later date. The Virgo moon allows us the focus and keen eye for detail, while Jupiter gives us enthusiasm, imagination and vigor. The moon is in the Mansion of Renenutet at 7pm EST, which shifts the day slightly from heartfelt spilling of emotions into a more refined, protected exterior. The goddess of eyes reminds us to protect ourselves by remaining vigilant and therefore, unafraid.
Saturday, September 12th - Day begins in Mansion of Renenutet / Enters Mansion of Kebechet at 10pm EST
The Sun moves into opposition with Chiron at 2:59am EST this morning, which is a less than gentle reminder to deal with the things you've swept under the rug. The Sun can't help but shine light wherever it touches, and as Chiron represents past wounds, these are thrown into brilliant technicolor as the transit hits. Remain calm and consider helping others around you who may be going through the same thing. This transit hits the Virgo/Pisces axis the hardest. Sagittarius and Gemini may feel it too. It may center around father-related or masculine issues for a lot of people. The moon opposes Neptune right as this is going on. This will make the inclination to distract oneself. Some may feel drawn to drugs or alcohol. Things calm down a bit in the afternoon and evening, and tasks are undertaken with ease. The moon trines Pluto at 1pm, which gives a keen eye for work and professional dealings. The Sun/Uranus inconjunction at 1:17pm is good for planning, routine and detail oriented work, although some who are going through Uranus-heavy transits may buck against this and decide to free themselves from responsibilities. The moon is in the Mansion of Renenutet for the majority of the day, which is ideal for service-oriented work and helping others. Protection is the theme for days when the moon is in the realm of Renenutet.
Sunday, September 13th - Day begins in Mansion of Kebechet / Enters Mansion of Thoth at 11pm EST
The moon opposes Chiron this morning, about two hours before the Solar Eclipse/New Moon at 2:54am EST. Solar eclipses heighten all energy, and as such they are excellent for initiating change. The theme of new moons is ridding yourself of things that no longer serve you, be it ideas, beliefs, plans, thoughts, relationships, jobs, or material possessions. All of the slow build of this week has been focused around clearing these things out. The majority of the day is free from major aspects, which allows the eclipse energy to really intensify. If you are sensitive to eclipses, you may want to eat healthy and drink a lot of water (more so than usual). Keeping yourself grounded will be a good plan. Tonight the moon sextiles Saturn before moving void of course at 10:08pm EST. This is a very brief void and exits at 10:42pm, when the moon moves into Libra. The night is ideal for tying up loose ends. Tomorrow we will get to rest and relax a little more, at least energetically. We are in the Mansion of Kebechet for most of the day. This is the realm of purification... a more fitting New Moon I cannot think of! Intention is powerful today. The thoughts you think have weight. Imagine, act, be confident. Go off the beaten trail a little and do something new. Kebechet was the goddess of joyful wandering, and she encourages us to move throughout our day prepared to listen to our intuition. Spontaneity is celebrated.
Monday, September 14th - In Mansion of Thoth all day
I'm sorry for the delay in getting today and tomorrow's forecast up! I've been under the weather and so fell behind a little. Interestingly enough there were NO aspects all day, and the Mansion of the moon did not change at all throughout the course of the day. This is fairly unusual and I can't remember the lat time it happened. It is nice to have a break, and that is exactly what today ended up being for me when I didn't get the forecast up in time. This was an important day for recharging and allowing our energy to build after the intense New Moon/Solar Eclipse weekend and the continuing Saturn transits. We are coming up on Mercury retrograde later this week, so it's a good idea to get your affairs in order now. The moon was in the Mansion of Thoth all day, which is excellent for writing. This is less of a teamwork kind of day and more about getting our own thoughts out and allowing that to unburden us.
Tuesday, September 15th - Day begins in Mansion of Thoth / Enters Mansion of Sopdu at 1am EST
Again, sorry for the delay in posting today's forecast! This morning the Libra moon squares Pluto at 2am and moves into conjunction with Mercury at 6am EST. This is an interesting dynamic, as it can exacerbate existing power struggles in relationships but will allow an open flow of communication. This combination of transits is really quite ideal for mending issues between friends or loved ones. It makes issues transparent and obvious but lends itself to allowing a gentle and honest conversation to open up. Consider any problems you're having with those around you and work toward fixing them, if you're ready. This afternoon the moon opposes Uranus at 2pm EST. Some could have outbursts of emotion, and others may act a bit out of character. News regarding mothers or motherhood could come in today. The moon is in the Mansion of Sopdu for the majority of the day. The god of the sky provides us with keen observation skills, high energy and enthusiasm and the ability to complete unfinished business.
Wednesday, September 16th - Day begins in Mansion of Sopdu / Enters Mansion of Hathor at 3am EST
The moon sextiles Mars shortly after midnight before moving void of course at 12:23am EST. Romance is in the air tonight. Amorous feelings could be quite strong, and under the rule of Mars we are driven to express our love swiftly and powerfully. The void lasts until 11:43am EST, when the moon will enter Scorpio. The morning might be a bit slow moving and it is a good idea to take it easy if at all possible. We are without major aspects for the rest of the day, and so it is an ideal time to catch up on final technology projects, loose ends relating to business or contracts, and so on. Mercury retrograde begins tomorrow afternoon and can make these things a bit unwieldy. The moon is in the Mansion of Hathor for the majority of the day. The goddess of love increases the ability to empathize with others and can open our hearts more, should we allow this to occur. Healing and energy work are favored.
Thursday, September 17th - Day begins in Mansion of Hathor / Enters Mansion of Khepri at 5am EST
Today is quite an active day in the cosmos. The moon sextiles Jupiter and trines Neptune at 2am EST, which makes for very active dreams. If you are interested in lucid dreaming or the concept of astral travel, consider setting that intention before you go to bed. It is quite a possible (and probable) thing tonight! Be sure to write down your dreams right upon awakening so they don't grow foggy or disappear completely. Jupiter shifts into opposition with Neptune at 2:53am which only adds to the intense dreamscape for those who are sleeping during this time. If you are awake, you may find your imagination is stirring and coming up with some very unique ideas. It's a good night for burning the midnight oil and working on creative projects or essays. The moon sextiles Pluto this afternoon at 12pm EST, which increases the power of observation and the ability to see the truth. This is important to take advantage of, because Mercury will be shifting into retrograde later in the day and can obscure things quite a bit. The retrograde begins at 2:10pm EST. Since Mercury will be retrograde in the sign of Libra, there may be issues of communication coming up in partnerships. These partnerships include but are not limited to business mergers, co-workers, romances, close friendships and family ties, etc. I will detail how the Mercury retrograde will impact us over the next three weeks in my daily forecasts. The moon squares Venus tonight at 8pm EST, which can create some feelings of jealousy or envy for some. Saturn finally shifts out of Scorpio and into Sagittarius tonight at 10:48pm EST. Breathe a sigh of relief if you have been having a particularly heavy few weeks. Saturn isn't always an easy planet to deal with, but in the sign of Sagittarius it is a little bit simpler to navigate. Saturn will not be entering the sign of Scorpio again for another 27 or so years. We will be in the Saturn in Sagittarius era until December 2017. Here Saturn will influence out beliefs about the world, shifting the way we look at things. Many will travel to new places under this transit. Saturn and Sagittarius, though quite opposite from one another, actually support the other in a way. Saturn offers structure and discipline to Sagittarius's expansive, adventurous spirit, and Sagittarius opens us up to new things under the crystallized, filtered vision of logical Saturn. It should be quite an interesting couple of years. We may begin to see some far-reaching, positive changes take place in the world around us. Today the moon is in the Mansion of Khepri, god of scarab beetles. We are dealing with working in the shadows today, or being in the background. This is part of what causes those feelings of envy or jealousy. For those who find themselves in the spotlight, be sure to give credit where it is due.
