Monday, September 14th ~ This evening at 7:08pm EST the Sun moves into perfect trine with Pluto in Capricorn. When the Sun trines Pluto we experience an almost preternatural intuition that allows us to subtly influence reality. The trine assures this process is mostly pleasant and can be utilized for good. We are able to lead and guide others without exerting much outward power. We reveal the way through finer processes, demonstrating a healthy path by example as opposed to by force or demand. Those that try to misuse or abuse power, or outwardly make a show of such things today will be met with much resistance. It is easier to trust in your leadership abilities and know that by doing your work well, you will ignite the possibility of such a spark to others.

Tuesday, September 15th ~ Venus and Uranus meet in square today at 11:28am EST. Venus is currently transiting Leo, and Uranus is camped out in the domain of Taurus. The square energy between two fixed signs is rigid, unmoving, stubborn. And yet Uranus brings a bit of eclecticism to the mix. We find that we cannot predict the behavior of others, particularly those with whom we are in intimate relationship. This could cause some tension or anxiety. Another element of this transit is a fickle muse, one who cannot deliver consistent results in our creative endeavors or work. In some ways we must ride the sea of emotion today. If something bothers you, sink into that sensation! Let yourself feel annoyed -- fully annoyed. You need not take it out on anyone else. If you're sad, let it wash over you. Interestingly enough, the more we are able to indulge these feelings, the further the muse's head emerges from down a long corridor, peering at us from afar. The deeper we go, the higher we fly. The muse returns to us, dancing down the hall.

Wednesday, September 16th ~ This evening the Sun moves into a square with the North Node of the moon at precisely 8:52pm EST. This square between two mutable points provides us with a strange sensation. We may feel like we are being thrust into something we are not ready for. Feeling vastly unprepared, we wish to turn back, or to freeze time in order to get our bearings. We long for the comfort and safety of the familiar. Another way this could play out is more subtly, on the stage of the internal plane. In our mind we try out the feeling of something by imagining ourselves taking that leap. It could still feel frightening. The North Node shows us the new terrain we have yet to explore. Our soul needs to go in that direction in order to balance and harmonize, but it often brings a bit of fear with it because it is so new to us. Even those that live for novel experiences might find fear in the direction of the North Node -- they might find that there is something scary about stability, but it waits under their own personal North Node. Look to see what sign your own North Node is in to see what your soul requires for an experience this time around.

Thursday, September 17th ~ A busy day in the cosmos. We begin with a New Moon in Virgo at 6:58am EST. The Sun/Moon conjunction in the sign of the vestal virgin bestows sacrifice in order to serve the greater good. The oldest astrological mythos always placed Virgo in the form of the sacrificial maiden who would perish so that the community may thrive, and that the harvest may come in full for the autumnal months ahead. We roll on back to Ancient Greece and find that the sacrifice was given up to Vesta, queen of the flame. The stories of antiquity differ from our modern world, but we see these themes play out in altered fashion. This New Moon is a sacrificial pyre of the inner world, a devotion to the gods of hearth and home. We may find that we are required to give up something now and in the coming days of dark moon. As this is shed, we allow a greater good to come to the collective. Thankfully nowadays there is little blood sacrifice, and these offerings come more often in the form of money, donation, time. As we fast approach Mabon, we lay our gifts upon the proverbial altar so that humanity can reap a better harvest. Other aspects today include a Mercury/Jupiter square, and Sun/Saturn trine. Both serve to support us in expansion of ideas, in dedication to workflow and end result, and in somewhat sobering remembrance of what might be lost. You need not sacrifice all, but something needs to go. Maybe what should be sacrificed is holding on. Is there someone else whose hands are empty, while yours struggle to balance and juggle what you have?
