Wednesday, September 9th ~ The Sun and Jupiter meet in a harmonious trine at 12:03pm EST today. This is an optimistic transit that expands our concept of what is possible. We may feel inspired to be generous with our time and energy. Above all this is a creative transit that is excellent for bringing far-reaching astral concepts down to the physical plane. Later in the day, Mars moves retrograde at 6:23pm EST. This retrograde period lasts until November 14th. Mars only moves retrograde every two years, and this tends to be fairly potent for us here on Earth. Our outward energy slows down, along with our ability to enact quick moving change. We may need to slow down and do more inner work during this time. If we try to push it too much, we could deplete our reserves and feel zapped and zonked. This doesn't mean we can't do anything in the outer world, but that we will need to care for ourselves and work to replenish our energy between bursts of action. Mars is in Aries, the sign it rules over, so this will assist us with not exhausting ourselves entirely as long as we pace ourselves.
Thursday, September 10th ~ Today Mercury in Libra opposes Chiron in Aries at 6:23pm EST. We may experience fear around communication; it may seem as though expressing ourselves could result in a lack of acceptance from others. The axis of Libra and Aries always brings up groups vs. individualism. How do we reconcile those things that make us different? Ultimately we must work to rise above the duality. This does not mean we need to lose the things that are uniquely us, but to understand that these need not serve to separate. The problem arises when fear is introduced -- fear of rejection, but also fear of the unknown and those who are different. How does the idea of 'different' appear to you? Seek to expand your worldview to encompass greater vistas and concepts, to move toward a radical unity that exists in a plane above fear.
Friday, September 11th ~ The Sun in Virgo opposes Neptune in Pisces at 4:25pm EST today. It may be challenging to shift into other people's realities. Our perception will be such that we feel like we're on another planet. Intuition is heightened; we glimpse images of higher, objective truths. However, communicating this to others may be met with blank stares or lots of questions today. It could be more useful to see these visions as personal messages which will then be integrated into the psyche, to be shared with others once they can be accurately translated. Much of the lesson today is understanding that these higher truths can only really be grasped when they are personally experienced. If you're on the opposite end, where you are wishing for these things to happen to you but aren't able to get there, work on quieting your mind. Much arises out of a cloudless sky.
Saturday, September 12th ~ Jupiter direct 8:41pm. Jupiter stations direct at 17 degrees Capricorn today at 8:41pm EST. This retrograde began on May 14th. A lot sure has happened since then! When Jupiter is retrograde, we find that our ability to expand is somewhat restricted. We have to slow down our progress. In the realm of Capricorn, this is usually tied to bureaucracy or finances. While the general desire of Jupiter is still the same -- to expand and grow, in some ways it is very challenging for it to do so. It's a bit like having feet that keep growing but you have to keep wearing the same old shoe size. It creates some pain and restriction. As we come out of this Jupiter retrograde, the tight shoes finally come off, or maybe our feet rip through the toe! Either way, we are free. But now we see that we didn't stop growing, it was just the outer container that made it feel like we were stagnant. You may notice that you're further along than you expected. There may be a few setbacks at first; using that same analogy, now you have to go out and buy new shoes. You may need to make some shifts in your life to accommodate all this growth that was beginning to stagnate in the previous conditions. In some ways, this is very exciting. Let yourself see a glimpse of all that has changed and bloomed in the previous months.
Sunday, September 13th ~ This morning, Venus and Chiron meet in trine at 7:24am EST. This is a tender aspect that centers around intimate relationships with others. We may feel uplifted or soothed by our connections with partners, friends, family, or pets. Most will seek out companionship today. If your own natal placements or transits are making this difficult, understand that you can still work on these things from afar, in the comfort of your solitaire. We can think of those we care about and send them well wishes in the mental space, which helps to soften the relationship and bring lightness to our own heart center. This transit is also rather creative and beautific in nature, meaning we will want to adorn or decorate our spaces or ourselves in order to reflect our current mood or aesthetic.
