Weekly Forecast: 12/14/20 through 12/20/20

Monday, December 14th ~ Today is a wild one! We'll start with the big news and work our way out from there. There is a New Moon in Sagittarius that perfects at 11:16am EST, and a Solar Eclipse that is occurring just minutes before. This New Moon begins a cycle that will complete during the Full Moon in Sagittarius on May 26th, 2021. Today, we are called upon to ask ourselves what we would like to see removed from our lives. The Sagittarian archer is adept at moving in the direction of positivity. Ruled by Jupiter, this particular mini cycle has a lot of power to bring about immense change. Think about the things that are no longer working for you, particularly those beliefs or philosophies which are not your own but were "programmed" or instilled in you by your family, culture, or society. Consider writing these down and then checking back on May 26th to see what your intentions have created. The Solar Eclipse gives us added energy to make these shifts. The other transits today are Mercury opposing the North Node (perfecting at 8:58am EST), Venus sextiling Jupiter (3:57pm EST), and Mercury trine Mars (11:32am EST). The energy is creative and expansive. While the New Moon gives us a more inward focus, it may be a better day for quietly working on things and opening up possible pathways for communication, rather than for open discourse and sharing. The moon is void for most of the day, from 11:17am until 10:35pm EST, when it enters Capricorn. Scattered thoughts and emotions become more focused and clear by this point.

Tuesday, December 15th ~ The Moon is in Capricorn all day, providing a sense of stability. While our emotions will not be stagnant, they may not have much fluctuation throughout the day. This is helpful because just like yesterday, today is incredibly busy in the cosmos. Venus and Saturn are in sextile at the 29th degree, perfecting at 7:59am EST. This could bring a sense of maturity to relationships, or a desire for more discernment and order in our affairs. Venus shifts into Sagittarius at 11:20am EST and this feeling lessens somewhat. Venus will be in Sagittarius until January 8th, sending us into the new year with the archer's aim. Relationships flourish during this time when we can have fun, spontaneity, and adventure. This needn't be a dramatic whirlwind trip; it could be shaking up where you get take out. Keep in mind Venus also impacts our relationship to ourselves. Along with all this new energy, Chiron stations direct at 5:18pm EST. This retrograde began on July 11th, and brought Chiron all the way back to 4 degrees Aries. Chiron in Aries allows for healing to come in the realm of self-expression. Now that the retrograde is over, we can move forward and begin to integrate all the shadow work we did over the past five months. It is a time to be yourself boldly, and allow your own expression to shine so that others might be inspired to do the same.

Wednesday, December 16th ~ Today we have the moon in Capricorn all day, again providing a steady backdrop for our emotions. While you may very well have moods beyond "fine" or "okay", they will not likely be a rollercoaster whirlwind but rather subtle variations of the same color. Asteroid Juno is sextiling both Jupiter and Saturn, all sitting at 29 degrees of their respective signs. Jupiter and Saturn will move into Aquarius later this week, and Juno is about to enter Sagittarius. Juno is the asteroid representing the mother, maternal love, and our connection to fertility and nurturing creativity. There could be a strong desire to connect to our mothers, our children (or pets!), or to create something that comes from a deep part of ourselves. This desire will be obvious for the rest of the week.

Thursday, December 17th ~ Today all the action happens in the early hours of morning. We begin with Saturn finally entering Aquarius at 12:03am EST. Saturn exits Capricorn for the last time, not to return for 28 years. With Saturn back in Aquarius for good, we will see revolutionary shifts. The status quo is questioned and shaken. Opportunities open up which may require some hard work and discipline, but if this is put in, the amount of people that can be helped is great. During Saturn's brief transit through Aquarius in late spring / summer 2020, we saw an influx in protests for equality. This work is likely to be prominent throughout the next few years of Saturn in Aquarius. I will dive into this deeper in my podcast this week, and you can also listen to my other podcast with my friend Heather, Pisces Rising, for a conversation about Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius. In addition, today the moon is void for a short time, from 12:34am until 1:27am EST when it enters Aquarius. All this Aquarian energy shakes things up. We feel imaginative, inspired, with all the perspective of someone floating above the scene. As we head into 2021, the astrology supports those who take risks with the intention of aiding the collective. Selfish actions will not allow long-lasting success, in the new Aquarian regime.

Friday, December 18th ~ The moon is in Aquarius all day long, giving us some distance from emotional concerns and deeper connection with our thoughts and ideas. Asteroid Juno is sextiling Jupiter at the 29th degree still, and Venus is sextile asteroid Pallas. These transits are quite "feminine" in nature, or in harmony with the energy of receptivity. There is much potential and possibility, should we move with the flow. Today is more about flexibility, relaxing into the stream of life, rather than attempting to direct the current. We move in tandem with life like a dance. We feel the strong sensation of anticipation, or a knowing that something is about to change positions, fall into place.

Saturday, December 19th ~ A truly intense day. This whole week has been wild but I barely have the words to express how much is going on today. I will go in chronological order. The day starts off with the moon moving void of course from 3:45am until 7:39am EST, when it enters Pisces. There is a dreamlike quality to the day, but also a marked sense of importance. You may not be able to see all layers of things, but sense their significance. Next, Jupiter enters Aquarius, joining Saturn and preparing for Monday's Great Conjunction. Jupiter in Aquarius has room to expand, unlike how constricted it was in Capricorn. We move toward higher ideals, blossoming in the hearts of more and more. This is truly the feeling of the age of Aquarius, when the prevailing thought is one of love and togetherness. We work to bring this deeper awareness to all under these skies. Venus is trine Chiron today, and Juno enters the sign of Sagittarius. This brings a sensation of love and empathy for all to the surface of interactions. Those who are focusing more on themselves may miss it; it will require stepping into the present moment and seeing things from a higher perception. If all this isn't enough, at 10:25pm EST the Sun and Mercury move into conjunction in Sagittarius. This exterior cazimi kicks off Phase 3 of the Mercury cycle initiated on October 25th. Here our work is to align our inner and outer realities. It is a time to make yourself and your ideas known. This phase lasts until January 30th, when we move to a more reflective time.

Sunday, December 20th ~ The moon is in Pisces all day today, which opens us up to feel more tender-hearted, and be more sensitive to beauty. The smallest things may move you. Mercury enters Capricorn this evening at 6:06pm EST, where it will be until January 8th. Communication thrives when it is to-the-point, clear, and focused on propelling the situation forward. Aimless banter and chatter could feel bothersome. Technological aspects of business receive a boost. Mercury sextiles asteroid Eros today, which makes romantic encounters very direct. Being up front with your feelings just might work today. The energy continues to increase as we move toward tomorrow's Solstice and Great Conjunction. See you on the other side!
