Monday, December 7th ~ Today the Moon is in Virgo all day, reaching its Last Quarter stage at 7:36pm EST. Our thought processes could be more linear and focused on improving and bettering our circumstances today. Frustrations could arise if we feel we are being externally prevented from working toward these goals. As we creep slowly toward the New Moon in Sagittarius on the 14th, we are gearing up to start a new cycle under the axis of the Sagittarian archer. During today's Last Quarter, we can begin to get very clear about what philosophies or beliefs are holding us back or restricting us. On the New Moon we benefit from intentional shedding of these things. This could look like writing down a limiting belief and then burning it during next week's New Moon. Today the Sun is in square to asteroid Vesta, which can create some tension or possible frustration in the household. This manifests in different ways for each of us, but might unfold as: cabin fever or restlessness, a desire to be at home when we can't, a desire to move, or irritation with someone or something in our home. Also, today is the last day of Pallas in Capricorn. The asteroid of the higher mind and creative intellect will enter Aquarius tomorrow. We can squeeze the last drops out of Pallas in Capricorn by creating structure around our ideas and working to lay the initial foundation to provide them support for once this asteroid enters airy Aquarius.
Tuesday, December 8th ~ The moon is in Virgo most of the day today, turning void at 5:35pm EST where it will remain for a short time until it enters Libra at 7:02pm EST. The morning and afternoon could bring an overactive mind. The Sun is opposing asteroid Psyche in Gemini, who rules over the mind and thought processes. With the Moon in mental Virgo, we may turn thoughts over and over in our heads and have trouble acting. This overthinking can be soothed by meditation or physical exercise. It is important to get into the body and the present moment, today more than ever. Asteroid Pallas enters Aquarius today. It dipped into Aquarius briefly back in late April through early June, but retrograde brought it into Capricorn for an extended tour until now. Pallas has been in close conjunction with Jupiter and Saturn throughout their journey through Capricorn, and now paves the way by being the first of the group to enter Aquarius (Jupiter and Saturn will join in just a couple weeks). Pallas in Aquarius, here until March 7th, 2021, will allow us access to big picture ideas, concepts and inspiration that can impact more people at once. This is a humanitarian placement that could allow for some amazing shifts globally if we are willing to work together and use our higher intelligence. I will be doing a podcast episode all about Pallas's travels this year, and what we can expect for her time in Aquarius.
Wednesday, December 9th ~ Today, with the moon in Libra all day we are concerned with matters of justice and fairness. The Sun squares Neptune at 2:40pm EST, but we feel the energy all day long. We may struggle to assert our identity. We could feel bothered by the sensation of merging, and long to stand out or be seen for our unique contributions. Asteroids Psyche and Vesta are engaged in a 2 day square, with Psyche in Gemini and Vesta in Virgo. This mutable square causes fluctuations in the living environment. This could be very minor - maybe there are subtle changes in your home that you choose to bring in - or it could be quite major i.e. a change in residence or equal shift. However, Psyche is mostly mental and does not always manifest in the external realm, so these could be experienced more as desires or wishes than actual events unfolding.
Thursday, December 10th ~ The moon is in Libra for the majority of the day, moving void at 7:56pm EST and remaining there for only about an hour, ending as it enters Scorpio at 8:59pm EST. The evening lets us off the hook; we wish to unplug and reach a state of gentle equilibrium. Libra moons bring up a desire for balance and equality, both between people and groups of people, but also in our own minds. Venus is sextile Pluto today, perfectly at 6:51pm EST but noticeable all day. This brings a penetrating quality to our relationships - we are able to see into them and help others by using our natural intuition and powers of observation. Psyche and Vesta are still in square; the exact square will break up tomorrow. Check yesterday's forecast for more information, but this brings a sense of unrest or desire for shifts in the home environment.
Friday, December 11th ~ Today the moon is in Scorpio all day long When the moon is in the dark domain of the scorpion, we can feel like hiding away from the world or holing up with a close friend or loved one. The Sun is trining Mars today (perfecting at 1:00am EST), which brings a desire for physical movement and action. The Sun is also opposing the North Node (perfecting at 7:51am EST). It seems like there could be a decision that needs to be made and direct action that needs to be taken. You might need to push out of your comfort zone to make sure your choice is heard loud and clear. Deferring or waiting due to indecision is not really an option under today's skies; even if your choice is "I'm not sure right now and need some time to think about it" this will need to be communicated very clearly, with open discourse about boundaries and when you will be circling back around with an answer.
Saturday, December 12th ~ Today the Moon is in Scorpio for much of the day. Our intuition is heightened collectively. We may be very sensitive to the energy of others. The moon becomes void at 8:58pm EST, and this void period only lasts until 9:40pm EST when the Moon enters Sagittarius. The evening has a very internal feeling. Spiritual ritual, meditation, or quiet alone time could be beneficial. Mars is sextile the North Node in Gemini today, perfectly at 12:05am EST but palpable all day. Again, we must take action. This transit ensures that if we did not make our choice very clear yesterday we should do so today. These choices will vary in intensity from person to person; for some of us, it could be a huge decision, for others it might be something small like what color you'll be painting your dining room. Either way a decision will need to be made. Others might push for you to choose if you do not, or someone else will step in and pick if you don't.
Sunday, December 13th ~ Today has a much lighter feel than days past. When the moon is in Sagittarius as it is all day today, we want to have fun and indulge our playful side. Routine tasks or chores could feel very taxing today. Mercury is squaring Neptune, perfecting at 6:38am EST. Conversations feel matter-of-fact and direct. If you are trying to be vague or flowery with your words, others might get impatient or miss what you are saying. A big transit for today is Jupiter moving into perfect sextile with asteroid Juno, who rules over marriage and intimate connection. It's a great day for relationships, be they romantic or platonic. The energy is light and breezy and lends itself to fun and celebration. If you are in a relationship, it's a nice day for a date or doing something fun at home. If you're currently single, you might enjoy flirtatious banter or conversation, even if it leads no where in particular.
